You have amazing tutorials. Perhaps this is the only channel where everything is so clearly explained. On other channels, they just do all sorts of actions, without explaining what for what and why, and I just need to repeat after them like a parrot. You, however, devote a lot of time to theory. Even with my poor English, I understand everything)) Thank you!
you prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream all the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend for the last few days xD
Fab explanations Noseman. One question, the cloud isn't rendering out in any file format. I have selected the alpha channel in the render settings. Any idea what i'm doing wrong?
13:10 :-) It won't resolve intersections, but only increase the transparency "depth" (how many transparent objects are on top of each other). Thanks for the comment anyway.
@@noseman Thanks so much for getting back to me. I have access to Cinema 4D r23 on my work computer...I am trying to build a scene with a airplane flying through clouds. Is it even possible to create clouds that are actually a "model" and I can control the opacity? Thanks M
@@noseman Working with cloud brushes in photoshop, file then used as an Opacity map for material applied go "plane" objects, not "airplanes" in Adobe Stager/Dimension www.behance.net/gallery/125268661/Adobe-Stager-fighter-engagement-all-3D-including-clouds
Although in principle they work the same, there are certain setups that work better with the color channel, for example if you want to project the material on a ground plane and catch shadows you can't do it using Luminance.
did you get an Error saying: "This project contains 1 old C.O.F.F.E.E. elements which are no longer supported..."? If so, go to the XPRESSO tag and delete the "Print to Console" Node (Red Color)
@@noseman Hi, thanks for your reply...had a raid-crash yesterday, so I have to wait for my new HDDs. I try this again if everything works again and give you an answer.

I am learning Cinema 4D. Your tutorials are great for ideas and learning the workflow inside this awesome software.
Wonderful explanation! I learned not just about how to make clouds but about C4D concepts in general.
thanks a lot to share your knowledge in such clear and simple way. thanks
Yes Boss, thanks Mr.Noseman !! Very Useful
Thanks for showing the thought process behind your techniques. A lot of tutorials simply show the steps, not the thought behind it.
Hi, Nice simple technique, also good you are showing the thought process behind coming up with solution.
You are a genius Mr. Pozantzis!

@Beau Lyle Definitely, I've been watching on instaflixxer for years myself :)
WHAT THE ..... If i knew that earlier!! Thanks a lot for this!! I like the way you explain things
Nice work. Understanding how tools of creation work is key.
Great tutotrial!
wow this is amazing
i think this great tutorial will save many people’s life’s! thanks
great tut. this channel deserves way more views and subs
I'm aiming for 100 million subscribers and 1.2Billion views... is that too optimistic?
@@noseman ahahah, not at all. sky is the limit
Thank you very much , great job :)))))
Nice tutorial!
Thank you so so much. This is game changer.
the best 🙌
Man you saved my day!
Thank you so much for this great tutorial!
Wow! You are good!
This is absolutely fantastic. Learned a lot. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you :) You are very big :)
Thank you so much
Well done. Especially very fast rendering.

It's impossible to tell without seeing the file. If you can upload somewhere and send me the link through my Contact page on my website.
Amazing Tutorial! Thank you!
To fix the plane intersections you can increase the raydepth value in the render options ....
13:10 :-)
It won't resolve intersections, but only increase the transparency "depth" (how many transparent objects are on top of each other). Thanks for the comment anyway.
Love it. Thank you!
Excellent! Thank you
Excellent! Can i export this cloud out as an "object' to use in other 3d programs?
you could export the planes, but I see little value in doing so. Also, it depends on the other 3D program. What file types can it open.

@@markelliot2994 You could use this method to a certain degree, but I have no idea how convincing it would be.

Thanks Athanasios for your advice and tutorial that helped me tremendously!!!!!!!!!! kudos!
I think it was you who said in a NAB talk that you shouldn't use the luminance channel with hdri skies, and I was wondering why.
Although in principle they work the same, there are certain setups that work better with the color channel, for example if you want to project the material on a ground plane and catch shadows you can't do it using Luminance.

Awesome!
Fantastic!
Thx for sharing!
Knowsman Knows!
Awesome! How would you render out the best png file for use in other programs? I tried and it's way to dark? Any thots!
Many thanks!!
Does not work, if I copy this to a new project in R23. I do not know what I have to consider...
