So, I do actually get something wrong in this video. I stated that the reasoning for the Infinity crashing wasn't explained in-game because I was getting it mixed up with a scene in Spartan Ops where a forerunner... thing causes an EMP. That's actually set after the events of Halo 4. The Infinity crashes during 4 because you failed to stop the gravity well and accidentally woke the space racist instead. As for not explaining the covenant... they don't. Cortana makes an assumption, but it's never confirmed by anyone in the campaign. (it's not until Spartan Ops that they explain this stuff, and that doesn't count because it's not part of the campaign)
It's possible that they last longer but usually around that point where they start to deteriorate. After 7 years they are deleted because it can cause severe Damage to other computer system.
@@jokeropsairsoft1706 it's based on how much data they've handled over their lifespan. cortana handled far too much data and went rampant the seven years is just a safety standard because they generally shouldn't go rampant within 7 years. but cortana has had a spartan program, a space ship, several forerunner structures and a gravemind run through her

Trying to turn Master Chief into humanity's savior because of DESTIIINYYYY and Librarian's master plan was so very silly. Halsey's "spartans are the next step" monologue is absolutely bizarre seeing as she knows firsthand how exceedingly difficult it was to "make" them and that all of their augmentations are purely physical.
I actually disagree with your take on Del Rio being rightfully angry. Chief's reasoning is that they have to act right now otherwise they aren't going to have enough time to warn people, get back up and stop the didact. It was much more efficient to risk the lives of the people on the Infinity to have a higher percentage to save the universe then it would be to waste time to escape requiem to get help that could give them a potential worse percentage of succeeding because they would be wasting time.
Honestly if the dude who has saved the human race about a dozen times at this point orders me to do something, even if it seems crazy, I'm going to do it.
Just a couple corrections: 0:32 The Spartans wore standard Mark IV Mjolnir when the Covenant attacked, rather than Mark V. The Mark V platform Mjolnir was still being tested as late into the war as The Fall Of Reach which was only about a month before the end of the Human-Covenant War 6:23 The Didact has already given his speech about how humanity has been "abandoned by time" and during the Librarian cutscene (as well as a terminal) she explains that the Prometheans are ancient humans and the Didact plans to convert modern humans into Prometheans to simultaneously snuff out "the enemy" and build his new empire. So John wanting to end him quickly as possible is completely necessary. Other than that, you're pretty spot on about everything else

The description "baby cruisers" also isn't that wrong concidering the CRS pattern probably isn't as old as the CCS pattern or the RCS pattern. Also Yes, Nanomachines are always the correct answer!😂
@Ryan Chow Yes, the CRS/Zanar pattern was 300m long, and with that the second smallest vessel in the Covenant navy only being bigger than the DAS/Mutan Et pattern.
@@madness0169 Well then 343 clearly messed up the ships design since a dark purple CCS like body mixed with green lights is a CRS pattern, with other ship patterns either having different colors or a different hull. @United Europe I agree, you do are right about that. I remember thinkingto myself for a long time that Covenant cruisers are tiny since the only Halo games I ever got to play were H3 and H4, meaning I never got to experience how big Cruisers actually were thanks to levels like Truth and Reconciliation from CE.
Yeah the extended lore explains it. The issue is the game makes no mention of any of it. The most we ever get is Cortana saying something along the lines of "I thought we were allied with the Elites".
@@MapleLeafAce chief says that and cortana makes the rationalization that either tensions rose again after 4 tears or its a splintered/rogue faction which is a reasonable guess. Not sure how this dude missed that but than again its hard to pay attention to a story while playing 4 player coop
Did anyone else spot that the forward unto dawn, ( the ship chief escapes the halo ring on in halo 3) completely changes design in halo 4 because they couldn’t be bothered to make a model for it- bungie focused always on the little details but 343.....
>End Halo 3 with half a mid sized ship >Start Call of “Halo” 4 in different armor on half a ship now twice the size of The Pillar of Autumn. Seems legit.

Was not expecting the personal disagree.
I actually really like halo 4. I liked the story and campaign. Didn't really like multiplayer that much. This game felt like a halo game. i feel like the staring cut scene really set the tone for the game because it showed a the other side of chief. the one that was lonely and not the covenant's worst nightmare
Let’s not also mention how the explosion when you take out that cruiser in the first mission, looks like a friggin Lego ship breaking apart. The “explosions” were comical in this shit.
Wakes up from Cryo sleep. Clones himself. Goes on a "un-friggin-believable!" against a bunch of shiny bois and murders Space Hitler with a wammakablam. Doesn't elaborate. Sleeps until Halo 5.
Hahaha solid video, love the breakdown and the editing! Good god I had almost fully forgotten all these bad memories of Halo 4 campaign just utterly dropping the ball. This marked the end of an era... I didn't hate multiplayer but it won't go down in the books either. Alright I clicked for fun to watch some good comedy rendition of Halo and that's what I got, but I have to say, your quick dismissal of the Dr.Halsey intro cinematic is off. It's relevant to Chiefs story because it sets up grounding him with his regular human counterparts and origin. Basically it's all part of 343 industries trying to humanize Chief more than in previous games, which they continue to do with different storyline beats In Halo 4/5, such as Chiefs relationships with Cortana, Lasky, and the other Spartans of his generation and before. As much as the Dr.Halsey scene is a bit corny and cringe, it's straight to the point from Chief's backstory. He was a small child that had his life stolen from him by the means of a ridiculous freak military experiment involving a brutal amount of invasive surgery. And Halsey planned the whole program. It's fucked up but it throws the narrative away from her simply being a good guy type character.
The cruisers are CRS class cruisers, but are only 300m long, due to a stable mutation in the assembly forges when trying to make another model. They have a crew of 9 and can carry a compliment of 50 troops. They have no glassing beam, but rather use plasma torpedoes for bombardment. Also they appear friendly to forerunner installations due to the mutations
8:30 Yes, Del Rio is the bad guy. The Didact is a Forerunner. One of the beings that built the Halos. If he decided to activate just one of them, he could wipe out the entire UNSC. That's a bit more important than the lives of a single warship.
Raw doging the atmosphere is tight! I literally just beat this game yesterday, again. Only because I haven’t owned an Xbox since 2016 and just got a new X.

MC follows orders cuz he wants to & breaks regs constantly doing what he thinks he needs to to do his job. & that guy gonna try to act like his rank has any true weight out there in the middle of the void to a person that clears starships & uses them to blow other stuff up 🤣
Now halo 4’s campaign doesn’t explain it at all why the covenant still exists however Spartan ops does. In Spartan ops you pretty much are fighting a remnant of the covenant. Splinter cells headed up by different warlords trying to fight for control of territory. The other Covenant that’s still headed by brutes is off in the Halo Wars games.
1:35 The covenant during the events is a rogue covenant group. After the events in the trillogy there was still covenant rogues that still believe in the religion of the covenant. I think it's explained in the game but not sure

I remember thinkingto myself for a long time that Covenant cruisers are tiny since the only Halo games I ever got to play were H3 and H4, meaning I never got to experience how big Cruisers actually were thanks to levels like Truth and Reconciliation from CE.
Cortana has a really nice personality in this game.
The reason there’s the “Covenant” is that there splinter groups left behind after past events
>End Halo 3 with half a mid sized ship
>Start Call of “Halo” 4 in different armor on half a ship now twice the size of The Pillar of Autumn.
Seems legit.
Bungie literally put a massive gap/trench in the pillar of autumn connected by a tiny bridge in the centre of it with nothing around it
Funniest commentary I've seen. 🤣
7:08 I get ran over by the mammoth
I tried to include as many random deaths as possible
@@Williaso ya done good will.
F
I literally just finished Halo 4 and then watched this- thanks for the laughs!
The amount of team this man has is the reason we have to do missions solo.
Rampancy has been a well established querk of smart AI since the beginning
In the extended universe. If anyone has only played the games (myself included) then that information comes straight out of left field.
I love how,"Cortana has an existential crisis" isn't even a joke
I thank halo 4 and 5 for the "lovely" fan art
bonk
This was amazing
The lack of star wars references in the last mission disappoints me, however you’re a seriously talented content creator had me laughing all the way through, keep it up bro
7:44 The Librarian inserting 343 gygabytes of Halo lore into your brain
Chief and his 3 buddies on their way to fight covenant's version of first order and ancient transformers wannabes
The monetization jokes for Halo Infinite truly aged like fresh milk, I never thought I would ACTUALLY miss REQ packs. They were somehow better than the actual Infinite monetization system.
No. No they weren't.
@@Williaso
I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree, since you could very easily and actually get a lot of the armor sets for free without paying for REQ packs, unlike the single armor set you can get for free in infinite
But on a whole other level, I gotta respect you for being active in the comments on a half a year old video. Was not expecting the personal disagree.
@@Williaso Both systems are shit though, can't deny
The cruisers are fairly normally-sized, it's just that a lot of the more memorable covenant ships you see are supercarriers
I actually really like halo 4. I liked the story and campaign. Didn't really like multiplayer that much. This game felt like a halo game. Well more correctly more like halo reach 2 and it had most of the charms of one. However Halo 5 didn't have any of this for the campaign. But had a pretty good multiplayer (minus the req's)
Halo 4 was my first Halo so I'm biased, but I gotta say that its multi was my favorite for a long time
@@gyrozeppeli4862 im literally half way through the game and nothing of importance or excitement has occured… the only thing that got a reaction out me was the captain dude yelling at chief who was completely unphased by any of it
Honestly a lot of the stuff that he isn't explained is explained. Having said that I love you and your channel 😌. I would raw dog the atmosphere anyday
Milftana is absolutely best thing I’ve ever heard. Hilarious everytime you say it!
9:45 Chief farted while ascending
This video is the best thing about halo 4
i feel like the staring cut scene really set the tone for the game because it showed a the other side of chief. the one that was lonely and not the covenant's worst nightmare
It's endlessly entertaining every *blank* our way to the next section. I don't know why
Let’s not also mention how the explosion when you take out that cruiser in the first mission, looks like a friggin Lego ship breaking apart. The “explosions” were comical in this shit.
“Then we all died, so we get to watch Chief cream himself again” 😂😂👌
Glad to know that your REQ pack factory assault seems to have paid off so far. Keep up the good work sir.
9:41”when you first saw Halo, were you blinded by its majesty?”
“Because Dr. Squatch teamed up with Halo to slay your stench with Dr. Squatch’s Spartan Soap.”
Well isn't Tammy just the chosen one by now???
*9:40*
Well... dam that's neat
Oh no, they didn't know you can skip 90% of Shutdown by just flying the pelican through a pelican-sized hole.
This was hilarious. How come you not have more subs. You are very underrated.
I swear the first time I watched timmy ascend it was a hell of a lot longer than the second or third time
9:41 Master chief became a precursor lmao
The cruisers are CRS class cruisers, but are only 300m long, due to a stable mutation in the assembly forges when trying to make another model. They have a crew of 9 and can carry a compliment of 50 troops. They have no glassing beam, but rather use plasma torpedoes for bombardment. Also they appear friendly to forerunner installations due to the mutations
I find the pelican and broadsword missions were the best
1:50 oh god im dying of laughter 🤣
8:30 Yes, Del Rio is the bad guy. The Didact is a Forerunner. One of the beings that built the Halos. If he decided to activate just one of them, he could wipe out the entire UNSC. That's a bit more important than the lives of a single warship.
Raw doging the atmosphere is tight! I literally just beat this game yesterday, again. Only because I haven’t owned an Xbox since 2016 and just got a new X.
Halo 4 is one of my favorite Halo games. I feel like Halo 5 retroactively made people hate this one. Like The Last Jedi made people hate The Force Awakens.
2:26 crazy fool, why do you always jump, someday your gonna land on something as hard as you are, and I don’t do bits and pieces
And this time he did. 343, but fortunately he’s more stubborn so he’s fine
Think I'm going to make my own bingo cards for your videos. Says blue egirl, says no problems whatsoever. Maybe a drinking game? Naw I would never make it to the end of a video
DEFINITELY don't make it a drinking game
Milftana lmaoo xD
I'm not exactly sure, but I'm getting the vibe that he and his friends like to team kill each other on their spare time.
I love how chief carves through platoons of aliens that odst have issues just looking at like they’re butter & that captain thinks that he gives anything more than a suggestion to what’s going to happen.
He doesn't care. He just wants to make the 1 millionth shitty I didnt like Halo 4 video
@@kyzaar2 Wooooo, 1 millionth video! What prize do I win?
It's explained in Spartan Ops, but not the main campaign.
The elite explanation is made outside the games campaign, but essentially art team wanted to draw a different faction of the covenant after le split.
12:10 It's made of the same hard light as forerunner bridges so probably.
The greatest battle ever, the Australian space squad vs evil dogs and robot dinosaurs
I love how these intros have progressed from
CE: Played it with the help of a friend and we went insane in the second half
Halo 2: Played it with a friend on legendary because we're insane
Halo 3: Played it with some friends and we drove each other insane
Halo 4: Played it with the help of some friends to keep ourselves sane... it didn't work
