One small section that was REALLY bad: ua-cam.com/video/8lRBQhnS_2Q/v-deo.html
Yo lol u don’t have to watch the credits to get the cutscene at the end.
The part where you start going insane really got me
Im only 15 but ive been playing halo scince i was four aswell
Your small enough that the money is likely mr beast equivalent so I don’t mind this shilling
No, the Halo Infinite Cortana goodbye-scene is not better than Halo 4. In Halo 4 its like actually watching a loved one die.
Halo Infinite's version at the end of the day only exists to pretend Halo 5 never happened and it emotionally feels like watching a family member committ uninstall in jail after they killed 5 people.
One thing I like is that whenever you find a dead spartan, there are so many dead banished around them, Spartans do not go quietly
Excuse me sir. Spartans never die.... They just taking a long nap... But no seriously those sections had some sick visual storytelling.
Spartans never die there just missing in action
I wonder what their KD ratios are. They're only S4's so they're nowhere as badass or thicc as the og 2 and 3s but still. KD ratios are always nice to see
Dead Spartan?
@@wastelandlegocheem spartan 4’s are the same power level as spartan 2’s
The spartan4’s are smaller though, and likely lack the same level of training since they aren’t trained up from being child soldiers, but power level they are the same
A thing I found interesting in this game was that they used red and blue as team colors in the storyline/writing for the campaign (both literally and symbolically). Red meaning enemy/banished and blue meaning friendly/human. They also changed Cortana to be purple because she is now an enemy but chief still remembers her as a friend whom he failed.
I thought Cortana was back to purple as a callback to CE, since she's pretty much the same shade as she was then.
Shes purple in halo 1
She is purple in both Halo Ce and Halo 2 - It's from Halo 3 on wards that she turns blue. So it is potentially both.
@@Execuor yeah, I like the idea it could be both a callback and a slight nod towards color design. The John Wick franchise does this to symbolize whenever John is in control (Blue I believe) and whenever he is not in control (Red).
@@firstconsul7286 I was thinking that the reason they went back to that shade was to easily visually differentiate her model from the Weapon's model. Also it makes her stand out in all those hologram conversations in the game
Best joke of the video: checking off the "brohammer's family is actually dead" slot the first time you died after the heart-to-heart cutscene.
"Only use the grappling hook rather than dealing with the equipment selection" is a mood. I tried using the threat sensor on the second invisible boss, decided it was useless and went back to grappling hook during that fight.
I hate when games want you to use 1-5+ to swap between shit on the fly quickly in combat. I've been gaming for over 20 years now and still fuck it up.
I piled up a bunch of battery bomb thingies and used the sensor to lure the elite, escharum and the older brute in the tower, escharum immediately went to his shield and the other two were 5 second boss fights
Threat sensor legit doesn't work on Jega
6:01 the smell sensors are there to detect explosive residue indicative of bombs that might be used by insurrectionists (the original enemy of the Spartan program)
Why they still have them on the most recent version designed for killing banished and is a mystery. Maybe it's just legacy support idk.
This is a really cool bit of lore, thanks for the explanation!
Is it from a book or something?
Cause all sorts of potential threats might be revealed by a chemical analyser, such as banished bombs for example.
@@barnarnars8503 It was a tidbit of information from a long time ago, so I can't remember where I heard it from.
Mjolnir armor does have an adaptive environmental filter that could theoretially used to detect explosive residue, but I can't find anywhere that explicitly states that.
We've been using bomb sniffers in airports for decades, but dogs are more effective and cheaper, plus unlike bomb sniffers, dogs can also detect other things, like drugs. We had people sniffers during Vietnam, that would supposedly let you detect VC sneaking through the jungle by detecting sweat and body odor. They worked... sorta... but turns out that they were calibrated using white people eating a Western diet and mostly just detected your own troops, rather than Asian people eating a Vietnamese diet, who smell different as a result of genetics, diet, and environment. Read accounts of soldiers in various wars, including modern day Iraq, and they'll tell you that in the dark, you literally can smell the enemy coming... as long as they're a different ethnicity and eat different food, anyway.
So yeah, I fully believe that 500 years in the future, we could have a sniffer built into combat armor that detects alien funk.
@@barnarnars8503 It's from the halo book fall of Reach.
One thing I'm glad about is that FINALLY someone mentioned that Sorel killed alot of banished with a darn SCREWDRIVER I noticed that on my first playthrough and I've never heard anyone else mention that
It's John Wick as a spartan
10:06 The same thing happened to me in that cutscene but my warthog was full of marines. They all disappeared which sucked because that entire level was ridiculously obnoxious and the marines could've at least helped a little.
22:43 Same thing happened to me as well, the objective marker just disappears after you get close, even if you scan again. But I actually cheesed Jega in under 30 seconds with the bulldog and melee, the victory felt unearned lol
My method was to use one of the mini guns provided in the earlier stages of the level to beat Jega and stayed in the zone of the sensor.
Same thing happened to me at 22:43. For about 10 minutes I ran around repeatedly scanning, expecting the cinematic to happen when I walked through a particular spot.
I had this happen at the excavation site mission, my razorback, full of marines, despawed.
In my case, they all got killed by the giant mining laser. I was so bummed because they were all equipped with the custom sentinel beam and they all died for nothing.
It didn’t despawn my marines, but it did spawn my warthog inside the laser drills and checkpointed, so every time I died it reset to all my marines exploded and being atomized
When it came to the smell sensors, if I remember right brutes constantly smell of burnt tires, grunts literally breathe methane gas, 6 month smelling chief honestly doesn’t seem that bad compared to dealing with enemies that smell that foul
my first video ever seeing on your channel, but it’s amazing! the humor, the sarcasm, the pain in your voice the whole time, the editing; you earned a sub from this vid
22:28 Thank god after a year and a half we are getting firefight in season 5, i hope they include that section as a map for multiplayer
Something I really liked about this game is that the marines are actually GOOD. Not only can they fight, but they do something that hasn't been done since Halo Wars. They make the marines seem badass. In the sections where you rescue squads of marines, you can find the bodies of banished already there. And I'm not just talking about grunts or jackals. There are Elite warlords and Brute captains dead around them. The marines know how to put up a fight.
I know this comment is almost a year old now, but have your thoughts on the Marines changed by now? Because I just finished the campaign recently and I couldn't help notice that my marines died A LOT. Unless they have a power weapon, they don't do too much damage and they die quickly.
@@migueltoledo1884 I haven't played Halo Infinite in a good while, so I can't say that my opinion of its marines has really changed. But something I forgot to put in my original comment was that I was playing on easy or normal or something. Other than that, I don't really know why your marines would be different to mine
11:08 that is so relatable. I literally never used any other gadget because it was far to inconvenient to switch to literally anything else other than the grapple
And the grapple when upgraded it just so fucking useful on heroic. Heavy melee that one hits a lot of brutes. If not one hit, it stuns them. Plus blasts everybody around for stun and damage
About the drop wall, though I agree with you about the equipment and grenade selection being extremely annoying, even when you memorize which button combo selects each item... The drop wall is incredibly useful in situations where running away is not an option.
Oh, that's funny. Jeff mentions only once someone learning to play with their Mother. Me and my Mom beat Halo CE several times together back in 2001, when I was 8.
I played with your mom back in 2001 too, but it wasnt on a video game. 😎😎😎
@@Zero_XTZ5 I know your dad beated yours
@@codoall9427 do you know what irony is?
my favorite broken cutscene was when you kill the two brute brothers and you gotta regroup with the pilot, i drove to him in a warthog and it just stayed there in the cutscene while he and chief just walked through and sat in it.
The fact that you got the original announcer voice actor to participate in this is amazing
19:30 thank you for correctly calling chief’s armor Mk.7 and not Mk.6. For those of you wondering, Chief’s armor is Mk.7, the permutation he’s wearing just resembles mk.6
Am I the only one who thought that we were going to take out the Created over time just like the Covenant? If you are afraid that would have meant fighting nothing but Prometheans, it doesnt really. I always thought that the traditional covenant races would have been indoctrinated into serving the Created, and thats what the ending of Halo 5 was setting up.
Infinite's campaign seems to be the first (and hopefully last) step to distancing themselves from 5's storyline. We're likely not going to see the Created at all from this point on
@@Williaso The recent 343 Canon Fodder mentions "Created Remnants" still existing, and I doubt the Banished could rid themselves of a force that can blow up planets that easy.
@@jakespacepiratee3740 We don't know if any of the other AIs can still control the Guardians, and the Warden was forces to serve Cortana.
@@pokest45-pz52 The Forerunners organized themselves as a Council, so it would make sense if the Created did the same.
@@jakespacepiratee3740 exactly I refuse to believe the covenant 2.0 are strong enough to crush an army of AI with forerunner tech
As cool as the banished are, they’re really just the covenant but more brutes and red and edgy
"He's ready. Are you?"
*Checks off very obvious Halo Reach reference on my card*
I didn't jump in the beam, I was going to, but then Cortanot told me it would kill me. I did miss the little green disk too though.
Love the doctor who reference! Great video as always! Keep up this amazing content
Hate how Vehicles are almost completely useless in this campaign with the introduction of the rapid fire emp weapons.
Okay yeah, that's something I hadn't really considered, but you did remind me of how frustrating it was to be strafing in a Banshee only to just drop like a stone over and over because at least one of them had the Shock Rifle.
Yes!!! Thank you for using “defenestrated”. It is such a hilariously specific term I love to use 😂😂
And yes. I stumbled around for like 10 minutes at the Cyberder fight and even reloaded the last checkpoint thinking I broke something. I had to legit google to figure out what I was missing 🤦🏻♂️
Hunters are amazing! Love how they change the dynamic of a fight. On legendary I could kill the majority of enemies with the battle rifle, but with the hunters you needed to be creative or spam them.
Thank you for demonstrating I wasn't the only one to miss the glowie hologram on the floor before the boss fight!
Oh boy I can't wait to hear Will insult the game in several different ways I didn't even know existed
Just got done watching the video.
I liked it all but the Jeff Stietzer part was easily the best, but that's nothing personal since nothing can top a Jeff Stietzer appearance. He's just so cool.
22:40. Yeah. Me too. Waked around in circles the point of punching things when the audio kept repeating itself and driving me insane till i noticed it on the floor 20 minutes later.
I just remembered that the autonomous suit walking around with a dead guy in it is the whole idea behind the game Soma
I love how all of the halo games build up to this game in terms of master chief. They finally “humanize” him and I just love it
lol nothing builds up to chief being "human" It's shoe horned in and makes no sense. he's a brain washed super soldier ready to sacrifice himself in a split second. He doesn't "feel humanity", it would work against him in every situation. i Fucking hate 343s writing.
“…delivering a Puma.” Epic reference!
OMG, i just stumbled across this vid and just needed all the laughs to being 2022! The grunt just going up and down on that lift had me bust a gut….
Cyberter actually teleports in and out of the arena. And almost always teleports behind you. So no not surprised you die to him.
Echo-216: (grunts) "So we're done now right?"
Escharum: "SPARTAN!!!"
(MC immediately turns to see Escharum struggling to walk.)
Escharum: "Fight... me..."
Master Chief: "It's over."
Escharum: "Nothing..."
(Escharum staggers towards Chief but falls. Luckily the Master Chief grabs him and gently sets him down.)
Escharum: "...nothing ends."
(Escharum then looks at Master Chief.)
Escharum: "My death will inspire a thousand others... (gasp) Tell them I... died... well."
Spoilers amirite
You're not the only one that had trouble finding out why we got locked in a dark room with red lights and spent 30 minutes wondering around it to find an enemy or way out before realizing that the objective was to find that stupid little hologram
yup it almost got to the point where i was going to look up a guide then by luck i found it
Starting to think I'm the only one who knew to look for it because it was playing the recording the whole time.
I watched this summary, drinking coffee with absolutely no problems what so ever. Choke, snort drink out my nose, spit all over the laptop screen. "That was easy."
Honestly, its clear as day that 343 wanted to do campaign DLC here... or at least intended to. Just sucks it got scrapped and instead we go the shit show of a multiplayer we got...
Doesnt help that a lot of people refuse to acknowledge Combat Evolved wasn't the best Halo ever made and genuinely went off saying that it was 'years ahead of what Infinites story was' or gave it such hard criticism because they dont like that Chief has evolved as a character to have emotions and depth instead of 'pew pew aliens die!'
The missed opportunity of calling the warthog a puma instead of PUMBA😔
My dead body got stuck in the grav lift at the laser mine thing and I laughed for a while at that.
Brohammer, cortanot, bald monkeys going away party... I laughed through this whole video man thank you 🤣
“some Spanish generic name, like Fernando” that crap is hilarious😂😂
I love them subtitles especially during deaths montages.
Thats so true thats Needle throwers are the best weapons against every boss, I recently Played Halo CE, 2, 3, 3 ODST, 4 and Reach and used them as much as i could
I love that Jeff Steitzer takes commissions like this.
I assume you took advantage of the sheer firepower of a loaded up Razorback with rocket launchers when you were having a really hard time on Zeta Halo. Oh especially after you get the tracking launcher.
God some of those damn bullet sponges. See; brute chieftan duo with scrap cannons at the end of one of the forerunner levels.
Your names for the characters are just gold 😂😂😂
I just can't get over Cortana's teeth. They're too fuckin big. Weird thing to throw her into the uncanny valley.
Started playing halo CE when I was 5 and oof the flood gave me nightmares but I love this franchise so much
Survival mode puts them in cryo sleep, basically freezes the body and preserves it.
I missed the interactable in the 'Rdomnai fight too, you're not alone
Either that was real dialog Voice by the real multiplayer multiplayer voice of God.. or somebody needs a raise
6:07 because they need to smell if there is poison/toxicity in the air?
17:22 Can't tell if Will is crying in agony or laughing like a madman.
Small interactable at 22:40. Yes. I circled that room relentlessly before I found that thing. Though the game was broken at first.
I mean the Halo 2 references kinda make sense. They are both forerunner halo installations so it makes sense that they both contain the same elements
U said it made no sense that something worse than the flood could exist on the ring when the rings were made to destroy the flood. That was the point; the rings were meant to kill all life so the flood could die but the endless were a race that survived the rings being fired, so the forerunners considered them a threat.
I went through the entire game only using the grapple, to find out, by accident, that a fully upgraded thrust gives you temporary invisibility. LOL
Autonomous suit with a dead guy walking around u pretty much explained crisis 2 and 3
I love how will said He would blow up Australia when I’m watching this at the airport right before my flight to relocate there 💀💀
Joseph Staton did work on Halo 3, but mostly at the end, actually Halo 3 and Halo Infinite have a lot in common.
PERECT thumbnail for this video. Absolutely perfect.
27:02
After hearing him say that I'm disappointed in myself for just finding him out he's the voice I grew up with
Not the only one that took 9 hours to find the glowing disk
22:29 we are getting it now!🎉
olfactory sensors are useful as chemical sensors. lots of complicated fluff reasons. can detect acids, chemical agents, atmosphere, etc.
Wicked witch? I call her the kahn maykr
14:38 "We apologise for the fault in the subtitles. Those responsible have been sacked."
22:37 the interactable is so small i thought i softlocked and restarted the entire game🥲
I love Halo Infinite. This is my 2nd halo game after CE. After playing it i played master chief collection where i really liked halo 2 & reach . But halo4 is a nightmare and I've only heard bad things about Halo5 . So 343 really did a good job with Infinite. Man i had so much fun in this game. From the graphics to gameplay, everything is top notch. Fighting Attriox would have been much better but it is what it is. I've completed halo 3 recently and playing Halo 4 right now and god damn that game is insufferable.
Why would the suit have smell sensors? Oh I don't know, detect biological weapons, or the atmospheric content in whatever planet you're in, additional detection method besides radar, visual and auditory. Take your pick
I've actually been quite curious as to what exactly Chief runs on, food-wise. Does he just pop an MRE in between travels, or does he feed off of the fear of his enemies?
I hear Jackals taste like chicken
@@Williaso Colonel Master Chief servin' up KFC (Kentucky Fried Covenant) since 2001.
Funny story. I took one of the mini guns from the section right before Jega into the fight... I CHEESED THE FUCK OUTTA HIM. It hits him so fast that his invisibility and shield NEVER get the chance to reactivate, and I killed him in like 15 seconds deadass.
the "no problem whatsoever" made my day jejeje
HOW DARE HE! All Williaso wanted to do was complete his bingo card, and Atriox can even give him that after 11 hours of suffering. :(
Love your vids even your sponsorships are entertaining.
10:30, damn, even the dead have fun
I would have walked over those insignificant pixels atleast 50 times only to then get stealth sword raped 100 times after I activated it
I was doing this on Heroic, I stopped at the Spartan Killers. I might come back to this now that the Co-op is in beta. And maybe after I beat DOOM Eternal on Nightmare. I left the game for awhile so I need to get used to the game again.
For anyone who hasn't completed the game and wants to see the end cut scene, you can skip the credits and it will still put you in the cut scene
Cutting Crew joke is underrated
11:20 someone set up an autohotkey that lets them switch en pretty seamlessly on Reddit. Looks sorta like scuffed Doom.
Also want to let you know the subtitles are greatly appreciated. Also sled.
Something I realized about this game is that the difficulty for the game is really really harder than it should be easy feels a lot harder than it should be normal feels like you're on heroic heroic feels like you're on legendary and then legendary feels like you're trying to fight an endless wave of nothing but bosses and no that is not a joke i went and replayed the game four different times on all four difficulties and legendary made me scared of the game
I'm happy I'm not the only one who spends way too much time trying to shove warthogs where they don't belong
This guy really said that Halo 3, Reach, and ODST all have bad writing... bruh that is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard all year
I love the "puma" RvB reference
you watched the credits,... haha lol, if you skip it you still get the end credits scene
I also jumped in the the power beam thing think it was an elevator and I soon as I jump in not Cortana says you want to avoid that it would hurt...... Also it took me like 5 minutes to find the little glowy hologram thing
Has anyone ever told you you sound like Tina from bobs burgers? I loved this video!
I played Halo CE at age 3, it was my first video game.
At 10:43 I got a brute Chopper in there
If you translate the morse code in the hyperius scene, It just says "BITCH!" that's kinda neat.
Do you want to know what I did for 1/3 of the game? Racked up enough whatever they’re called points to grab a wasp, and flew everywhere cus I was too lazy
3:05 thats basically Crysis 2 and 3 plots
Love how your completely right about the co-op comment 😂
Yeah for my first play i exclusively used the grappling hook
Honestly, great video, love the humour in this!
I'm gonna be honest I was disappointed we didn't get a warthog run or something after we beat the harbinger
Love the Black Templar Litany!!! 40k references Strong
