And really grateful to have Dan from @DanVsWorld guide me through the great Vietnamese Cuisine in California! Our first stop, the best handrolls in the country at Brodard's where the specialize in the Vietnamese handrolls amongst other Vietnamese dishes and their pastries!
And as luck would have it, right around the corner is a unlimited Lobster buffet! And not only were their lobsters, but a great selection of seafood including crab, oysters and delicious scallops on the half shell. And all this gets better because of the great value! the rolls come on a communal plate that everyone is supposed to grab from.
Styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery. At $38 apiece, they can't afford a dishwasher, let alone being so non recyclable....
The rolls look great! Reminds me of Summer Rolls in Temple City/Rosemead. I love that Dan asked if he can pick up the rolls to show the audience; so considerate! Nothing beats politeness from these two gentlemen.

You are really not a picky eater. Either that or you’re too polite. That buffet looks pretty depressing for $38. Nothing wrong with being polite but I think you should try to be more transparent in your reviews to avoid misleading your viewers.
You should have seen Tim having pig blood at the Filipino restaurant.

Excellent buffet restaurant with amazing choices but disappointing they use styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery. Especially with our major environmental issues we are experiencing this summer. None of these styrofoam plates disintegrates and just piles up in our landfills.

Foam plates and plastic utensils? Seems odd, especially in California!
Seems like a lot of places haven't gone back to washing dishes and don't plan to...many using plastic in LA and OC 🤷♀️😏
That was definitely a surprise for me. didn't really like all those disposable plates/cutlery
The switch to plastic happened because of the covid scares, they haven't switch back yet as I was there a couple weeks ago.

Definitely appreciate the feedback and taking the time to reach out. I did enjoy both places..it was quite good value and given the price point, it certainly met expectations. I think there were a couple of dishes at the buffet that weren't too good, but those were few and far between. Again, really do appreciate any and all candid comments.
How I missed this, I don't know ... Anyways, it's new to me today 😊 Great episode. As always , my stomach was talking 😂
I’m not sure what are the rhymes and reasons behind the use of disposable foam plates and plastic cutlery at the buffet but that has to be not good for the environment considering how many people comes thru the buffet each day. I hope the restaurant will revise that soon.

Tim n' Dan, very tasty looking food, ya had me at the rice spring rolls...and I heard the crunch. Fish sauce is a favorite of mine.
Eatery Two, also mouthwatering foods. Clean and fresh. Ah Friend, those are only half lobsters and gosh they kept putting them on your plate. I would have added a whole plate of the sashimi. Soup looked excellent, needed to know the ingredients. More scallops. 👍 Best

That Lux buffet is not that good anymore. Qualities are way down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OC resident here. Great suggestions for Viet food. I just want to point out that both of these restaurants are not technically in Little Saigon, which is a few blocks stretch within the city of Westminster - just in case if travelers are stopping by and get lost. :)

Promoting a place (Luxe buffet) that generates a ton of styrofoam plate waste and plastic cutlery waste is highly sus. How many plates did you go through? At least 5 styrofoam plates I'd say. Plus the food looked nasty so there's that.

Oh, you're not the only one... there are actually a few people who were kind enough to reach out offering their services for a haircut. I do have to rant a little, a very sweet Korean lady cuts my hair, and recently she was insistent on perming the hair... I refused, and have noticed that ever since, she has been keeping the hair long to make her case for perming the hair... We'll see how this unfolds 😉

No place like Orange County for great food!! My Aunt and Uncle lived there. We were the only Southern people who used soy sauce for year's!!😂🤣 My Uncle was from the Philippines & taught my Mom all kinds of awesome recipe's. They'd come to Tennessee every summer & we kid's could not wait!! Uncle Rudy could cook like no other!! Sorry Mom!!😂 You tried!! I miss them everyday & you brought back memories with this video!! TFS!! You just didn't eat any fish eyeballs!!😂 Uncle Rudy always saved them for me since I was his favorite!! I hid them under my plate!!🤣😂😆😉 Our little secret Tim!!😂🤣😆😎

Man Brodard is only known for their pork roll. In terms of the other foods there are places that better specialize in the Banh xeo, vermicelli dish. Your buddy Dan is t trying, but there is so much better
The scallops are low quality. Come to the east coast and get big quality sea scallops.

Not the greatest! Somewhat underwhelming buffet! The first stop with the specialty eggrlls , etc with Dan was very good & worth a stop! The buffet was no big deal!
Would definitely go back for the Brodard spring rolls. The main draw on the buffet were the lobsters and was fun for the first time, but yeah, it's not somewhere one would frequent regularly.

Really enjoying your videos. I've never enjoyed rice spring rolls...too slimey for me but love the ingredients. Please do a video on salad bars. Spinach, Ceasar, macaroni, eggs....
Not sure why you'ld go Brodards for Spring Rolls knowing that you're going to Luxe Buffet(or any Buffet) afterwards. it takes up room in the Tummy and Screws up the taste palate....
But since you're a Food connoisseur, a Foodie, you're use to it......
For me, "if' i know i'm going to a Buffet for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner, i'm drinking lots of water to expand my Tummy and starving myself until then.......

Here, besides spring rolls, other dishes are only average to bad, and the prices are also more expensive than nearby shops. Tourists from far away states and people in the SD and LA areas don't know anything about this restaurant so they only come here to eat.
Get your own dipping sauce. No need to double dip man.
OMG, I was in Little Saigon at least four days a week a while back. There was nothing like this back then. It was all hole in the wall and awesome. That "Fremch coffee" is Robusto and will get you wired to the tits for about 4 hours. Do not do two hits. The best is slow dripped in a dented up old stainless steel dripper. If the cook's middle name is "Thi" or "Van" you are getting the real thing from a real old timer. These folks always found my Vietnamese pleasantly surprising. I am long gone, but adore Vietnamese people and Little Saigon.
try Lam Van Nem Nuong. It's a small ToGo but they have THE BEST Nem Nuong. Everyone else this restaurant is far second.

Yikes, they are dipping the spring rolls into the sauce after taking a mouthful and think nothing of it. It would have been better if they spoon the sauce onto their plates first.
Brodard is awesome. Luxe Buffet? On the other hand, meh,. Not a fan of that kind of lobster
We are really spoiled in having these restaurants in our backyard.
I went there today (Sunday) with the family. The crab was great, and they offered more dishes than the traditional "Asian Buffet". The lines were quite long for the crab, and extremely long for the lobster, but there were plenty of other dishes that you could have chosen from and not be disappointed. They did ration out the crab because people started taking bucket-loads back to their tables, but all in all the food was great. My only gripe was the waitress and lack of following through with drink refills after multiple times of asking.
The big draw is the lobster and there was a big line when I went as well.. but near the end, there wasn't much of a line at all. It's interesting because when I went, there were a lot of crabs to go around. Glad you enjoyed it and it's quite good value for a comfort Buffet 🙂
Urgh paper plates and plastic cutlery. That's why we carry out own cutlery around when ever we go out. That plastic cutlery and paper straws are awful.

We went to the luxe buffet horrible service the cook at the grill was really rude totally ignored us and when we asked for seconds he made rude comments we didn't no enjoy the luxe
they also have wooded ear fungus the black looking thing inside the eggrolls just fyi.

@@DavidSriracha , actually more than 10yrs ago , the older son named Huân moved to Texas and he opened A LOT of BRODARD , I would say 5 to 7 restaurants, then ….. years go by he couldn’t take care all , now he still haves few ( too last !!!!)
