Good idea but I'm visual and need to see the pinyin to learn the words. If I just hear the words, I'm not sure what I'm hearing. But I can still learn from this video by watching while awake since you do have the pinyin.

When I was really young, my family moved to China to live there for half a year for my dad’s job and they told me that I could understand Chinese and speak it on a normal child’s level of vocabulary, but once we moved back to my birth country, they decided not to keep teaching Chinese to me. Like I understand that it’s not my parents’ main language or even second, but I would’ve been so grateful right now if I knew how to speak this beautiful language fluently. Well, we can’t go back, but we can always make future choices.

I'm Chinese, after listening to this while I was sleeping, I woke up know how to speak English fluently. Funny thing is, I can even type fluently. I never knew this work both ways.
You can't learn new material while asleep, but supposedly there are a few studies that suggest you can reinforce past learnt material subconsciously by having it play while asleep. But what's better than that? Actually good uninterrupted sleep. Go to sleep.

Baikeys class is also very good for learning Mandarin. Actually practicing them regularly only works, otherwise all the words vanish from mind. Really interested to learn Chinese, French,Latin and Spanish. Different pronounciations sounds so soothing.
Use Infinite Looper while you use this and you can break it down into smaller parts and have them loop until you have mastered them. Also the while you sleep theory does not work but when you are lying awake and can't sleep this kind of thing is wonderful.
It's actually been documented in multiple tests to "work". Although only to reinforce knowledge and not to "learn" from scratch... get your point though. I'll probably make use of this infinite looper thing too, sounds really handy!

Good luck with everything. Chinese can take a while longer to learn than the other languages you have studied. But in six months you could have basic conversation.

Baikeys class is also very good for learning Mandarin. Actually practicing them regularly only works, otherwise all the words vanish from mind. Really interested to learn Chinese, French,Latin and Spanish. Different pronounciations sounds so soothing.

Use Infinite Looper while you use this and you can break it down into smaller parts and have them loop until you have mastered them. Also the while you sleep theory does not work but when you are lying awake and can't sleep this kind of thing is wonderful.

It's actually been documented in multiple tests to "work". Although only to reinforce knowledge and not to "learn" from scratch... get your point though.

Thank you for this! I am going to listen to this on repeat for a week and see if I’ll remember. I am trying to learn many languages. So far, I can read French , speak it just a little. I can speak Haitian Creole fluently. I know some Spanish. A tiny bit of Bosnian. I want to be fluent in Chinese though. How long will it take for someone to learn?
Good luck with everything. Chinese can take a while longer to learn than the other languages you have studied. But in six months you could have basic conversation.
It takes most people who are willing to learn a language 80 weeks (1 and a half years) if you study 3-5 hours a day..
