Beleza tanta, tanta, pura admiração, nada mais! Beleza, tanto, exclamo-te! Beauty so much, so much, pure admiration, nothing more! Beauty, so much, I exclaim!
Thank you very much for this formidable piece of art and the lovely vignette into the bargain. By the way, research reveals a natural bent toward self-deception so great that the need for counterbalancing forces within the mind - forces such as insight and respect for truth - becomes more apparent than ever. Have a wonderful weekend, dear Jeffrey!

Good morning dear Jeffrey. Beautiful morning, coffee, bed still, so many beautiful pieces that I didn't know. Yes. Life can be beautiful and you mannage to make it even better. Thank you! There is a famous anecdote associated with this aria - Handel wrote it for his famous soprano Francesca Cuzzoni but when she saw the score she was indignant and said she wouldn't sing it as it didn't demonstrate the capabilities of her voice. Handel is said to have seized her and threated to throw her out the window if she didn't comply!
@@JeffreyStivers Sorry I must have missed it. You should follow up the painting/mirror theme with the mirror song from "Semele" - "Myself I must adore if I insist on gazing ..."
@@JeffreyStivers The whole story of the real person not turning out to be as beautiful as the depiction in the painting reminds me of king Henry VIII when he finally met his wife Anne of Cleves -she was nowhere near as beautiful as in her portrait that had been sent to him previously -so he divorced her!
Beautiful voice, love it!
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
