If you do the lunge attack using X + Square and continue to hold square, by the time the lunge attack is finished your Burning blade will be ready to go. Makes for a nice combo.
This also works for the downward slash you do in midair when you hold X + Square. It's a nice combo too. Just gotta have that faster charge upgrade first.
@@V.VIIIBeanman yeah the lunge to burning blade is very easily spammed on smaller enemies. Burning blade will send them flying. Then you just do another lunge attack to burning blade. Rinse and repeat until they are dead.
Two things I want square to add if they do an update: a quick press of r3 to actually sprint (Clive just runs slow af to me) and turn burning blade into elemental blade so whatever eikon you have equipped it matches that element. Also I find it weird that there’s no weakness on enemies. Like using flame has no advantages on say the plant enemies than using thunder. That’s just the top 3 that come to mind
the run thing I doubt they will add(most objectives aren't even far from each other so I don't even think its needed) and for the next 2 my question would what's the point of that? sure making it whatever element of the icon you have equipped would be cool but whats the point of it doesn't do anything? and to the third thing about the weaknesses is that those are likely not added due to being limited to 3 icons. if there was weakness then that would mean you would have to constantly change ur build to make use of those weaknesses and that would just get annoying to do(especially for people like myself who experiment until they find a build then stick to that build) it just wouldn't work. plus people already complain the games to easy if you added a weakness system ur just making it even easier. basically if it wasn't already added before release it won't be since they would have to rebuild there entire combat system to make use of the weaknesses or at least allow you to switch icons mid combat(15 had a weakness system with the weapons but because you could switch mid combat you could actually make use of it) also abt point 2 if they were to add that i feel like it would need to do something element related(burn freeze etc)otherwise it's useless. and they would have to make a burning blade like ability for every single Eikon since why are you gonna call a skill burning blade when it does ice

Jor, for Torgal, his sic and ravage do different things based on the enemies state. Ravage will put them in the opposite state aka ground to air and air to ground, and sic will keep them in the current state they are in but does less damage due to that utility. A great combo I like to do is thrust>magic>sic>phoenix shift>attack>attack>magic>attack>magic>attack>deadly embrace> repeat aerial burst combo>deadly embrace>wicked wheel>stomp>stomp>down thrust.
My personal combos: - Pheonix: Rising Flames to Thunderstorm (it’s a good two piece, high damages skills) - Garuda: Rising Burning Blade, double Stomp, Wicked Wheel and then Upheaval. - Titan: Gouge and Heatwave. This slot is basically for counters or Gouge to set up the multiplier
Burning blade can be charged up during just about any animation, including finishing blows. Use taunt to goad enemies into Rook's Gambit counterattack. Heatwave counter can be used against Dragons and Adamantoise and other projectile spitting enemies to take away massive chunks of their stagger gauge quickly. Torgal can be used to extend your air combos. Charged blade -> jump -> attack to juggle up -> attack - enemy step/stomp -> attack again -> stomp -> Wicked Wheel -> extreme downthrust. One of my go to combos Just some of my own tips that I use as staples in the combat. ;)
Right now I'm using: 1st- Shiva w/ Will o' the Wykes and Diamond Dust 2nd Titan w/ Lightning Rod and Flames of Rebirth 3rd Bahamut w/Impulse and Gigaflare I've done 90k stagger damage as my highest so far and I haven't gone to Waloed yet in the story. Combo after Stagger is Wykes>Lightning Rod>Impulse>Diamond Dust>Flames of Rebirth>Gigaflare for finish and by the time stagger is over Wykes should almost be done with cooldown👍💯
Lmao I had the same issue at the start bc so many games use circle for dodge. There’s a control option to swap them, but I think it also swaps some other buttons which I had already gotten used to so I switched it back. Got used to the default controls over time tho
Same and dodging sucks anyways a lot of enemies don’t give much of a tip for when to dodge and most of the times there’s too much going on I use that slow down time ring because if this and I still got circle most of the time lol
@kelela37clch 1 second ago I know, right? Having transitioned from _Horizon Forbidden West_ to _FFXVI_ just recently, it took me awhile to get used to R1 as dodge as well! I thought about changing to Type B or Type C but was too far into the initial part of the game to undergo any new changes, so I stuck with it until it wasn't an issue anymore!
I'm definitely seeing that DMC inspiration there are 👩 in the air where he uses his abilities and it looks like the animation as dates gun shot in a mid air combo
I know that Megaflare is not time efficient due to the hime time it charges! But I am a fan of that eikonic ability 🤣 I am a huge fan of AOE attackss. I will just let Titan guard and raging fist be my single tarhet attack. Time to switch and mix the combo

I'm disappointed there is nothing about using the last 4 our of 7 Eikons.1st 3 move sets were way more fun, engaging, and useful than the last 4. I was hoping that I was missing something, but this video seems to confirm, the last 4 Eikons abilities just aren't as enjoyable or practical.
So far (about 5 hours in) the combat is very badly signposted. Trying to read enemy attacks when the screen is full of particles is near impossible, and fighting multiple enemies is a mess... the lock on system doesnt work well to change targets and seeing anyone behind your back is not happening...
Not quite but close. They would need a wheel of weapons to switch with the icon abilities. That would probably melt most people's heads. To me the music during the Titan eikon fight was very devil May cry.

Its the enhanced attack from semi-prime. In this case he is most likely using berserk ring which allows you to accesses semi-primed combos without using any bar after a perfect dodge
Can someone explain something to me. Besides Zentetsuken and kamehameha beam, none of the other ultimates do even that much damage. Fully upgraded Thunderstorm does more damage then Ramuh's fully upgraded ultimiate. Hell, fully upgraded Thunderstorm does more damage than anything else then a full zentestuken and super houdoken. Yet everyone keeps saying "use your ultimates, use your ultimates' - Why?? They don't do all that much damage.
The story telling in this game is super high quality!!!. The battle system is just ok. Its fun enought to keep me playing so that I can enoy the story. After playing Elden Ring this game is Sub-par. No strategy at all. I'm pretty sure you can beat the game by pressing the square button and R1 to evade. Even the eikon battles get a little booring. It's 75% watching and 25% actual gameplay. At least thats the way it is 4 hours in. I think if this game was full open world it wouldnt work as good. It needs to be linear for the sake of the story, but at the same time it's what really hurts the game. Theres no sense of grandios scale. Even though it looks like the map is big and by the time we beat the game there will have been tons of areas covered the game feels small....and yes even with the eikon battles. They should have figured out how to make it full open world and with keeping a good flow of the story\cutscenes and just have teleport areas all around the map. I wouldnt mind riding my chocobo accross the land and even upgrading my chocobo as you play the game. They missed some good oppurtunities. 7/10 so far for me. It's not even close to being the best FF.

My main issue with this game is that all the enemies are damage sponges. Even the lowliest of enemies take forever to whack out of existence. And the bosses..........slap slap slap slap. That's all you ever do. Slap slap slap slap. It gets a bit tedious...
Sounds like you're either not utilizing the combat mechanics or just don't enjoy it. Judgment bolts while staggered should do pretty big chunks of damage. Either way at the game probably isn't for you. Elden ring is fairly similar and not everybody likes that game either.

These videos are kinda useless. The game only requires 100,000 AP to master every single skill… you can easily farm 50k AP in waloed in FFM in about 30 minutes
Long range, is a projectile counter and can be used as a quick combo extender that launches or keeps enemies in the air. It's one of the most useful moves in the game lol.

It's funny cause even the yoshi p said the demo was very cutscene heavy because its the beginning of the game, sometimes people never pay attention, better to ignore em and enjoy whatever your playing honestly. I'm having such a blast with this game, I will say the side quest design is very very repetitive, but with how well the combat and story is it doesn't bother me tbh, enjoy❤💪
Who complains about cutscenes in final fantasy lmfao? Back in the day us kids used to buy these games just for their 3d cutscenes. Lmaoooo. The games Hella fun. Been playing it since the demo. It was a nice touch letting you skip the prologue. And while slightly gimmicky the eikon fights have that Naruto level of bijjju against bijjju action and emotions.

You need the mastered charge for that combo to work at any distance

well idk how far into the game you are but the general skill tree is basically ifrit's skill tree which is fire.

it stacks you can see it when you look at the hunt board the gil reward changes and its worth it also for quest rewards so DO IT!!!

How u get extra yellow bar. I'm level 33 I only have 2 of them.
On ability tab there are three bubbles inside of Clive’s main ability wheel. Each time you upgrade the top middle one you get another yellow bar
