Yesss! Such a monstrous track. From what I remember, the song is about Islamic suicide bombings, hence the title 'Hexagram' - the Star of David, and the lyrics: "and the car bomb hits quick-click-click-click, faint smile", "death is the standard breach for a complex prize", "play and play, worship, play, worship" etc. Chino's vocals are all raw and live here too, no effects. Pure, undiluted emotion. And Steph Carpenter is one remarkable guitarist - not a lead guitarist, as he will himself say - and he knows how to write a fucking great riff. Uses some wild open tunings, which is what gives the band their unique sound. 'Bloody Cape' from the same album is another good example!
Also, check out 'Rocket Skates' from the 'Diamond Eyes' album. A lot of reactors react to the official video, you should be fine and not get a copyright slap on the wrist, it's a great vid, and song! x
One of my favorites Deftones tracks. I love the acoustic like sound at the beginning then it drops into that sick riff.
