I love Supergoop. I use the Play for my body, the sheer mineral for my face, and unseen for my face. The sheer mineral sunscreen is great for my oily skin.
I really thought the Supergoop Play was going to irritate my daughters skin. They are competitive swimmers and in the summer swim every morning outside. I am absolutely blown away how moisturizing this sunscreen is and zero irritation. They got way less sun than they ever have in the history of their swimming. I always used blue lizard before this. I know fragrance is in this but it is a winner for our skin of color! I recommend it if you have swimmers.

Thank you SO MUCH. I've been going crazy trying to find a sunscreen that hits literally all the points you talked about: Mineral, PA++++, no fragrance or essential oils, non-drying with minimal white cast. I was about to give up and go for a chemical sunscreen but now I'm going to try Supergoop mineral Play with the cc screen on top in case it leaves a very white cast. I'm also going to dive into all your other sunscreen videos! So happy to have found a dermatologist on UA-cam who takes the safety level of ingredients and the UVA rating as seriously as the SPF! Question: What do you think about the new, supposedly safer chemicals Tinosorb and Mexoryl? If you do see this then thank you again!
Love your content so much. I appreciate the labor of love here. I would love as much content as you want to put out. I would especially love in depth info for skin care for kids especially ages 3 to 10 as you've mentioned in a previous video. I'd love product recommendations for them, what a routine should be. Both my kids inherited my KP, so thoughts on KP for kids would be great. And how often to bathe and wash hair. And especially should I be washing sunscreened kid skin with a gentle soap every night so skin can breathe or is that more washing than necessary? Thanks!!

YESSSS I am so happy you made this video because i was just wondering this week actually! I have tried the 'Play SPF 50' 100% mineral and it leaves a slight cast when first applied but later fades and I'm a black person. I due prefer the texture of color science liquid sun screen buuuuut this is also very very great and i am so happy it is Dr.V approved. This one i would use on the go and at the beach or something for reapplying with no fingers

Love this video! Thank you Dr! I’m currently using Supergoops Play sunscreen and I was a bit disappointed by the fragrance. It gives such a ridiculous glow that I don’t actually mind because of my dry skin, but I wouldn’t recommend it for people with oily skin. I purchased two bottles that I have to finish using and my next purchase will definitely be inzincable that I’m very excited for!!

Dr. V I would love to see a video on the brand Bare Minerals specifically their foundations!!! It would be so helpful especially for people like myself or who are battling acne and trying to find a foundation that works for them.
Bare minerals is a great derm recommended brand. They formulate with a more simple ingredients list free of common allergens and irritants. Its for sure worth a try😊👍

Are there any other mineral/physical sunscreens that don't leave a white cast besides Color science and It Cosmetics you've mentioned those in a prior video. In regards to doing 5 videos a week. I think quality is better than quantity. I've noticed in the comments people said you missed a lot of good sunscreens from supergoop. I would have liked to know your thoughts on those as well.

Can you do a review on the Shishedo Sunscreen stick? I personally thought it was the best sunscreen I’ve ever used, it left a glowy finish and i saw it cleared up my dark spots. Now, it’s hard to buy and i can’t find a different that’ll do the same for me. I purchased the mini super goop unseen sunscreen and i do not like how it feels on my skin. Please help!!❤️
I have play and unseen. Many people like unseen as a make up primer which works very well because it is silicone like texture and feeling. I prefer “play” is light weight when applying and on your face the whole day. It comes out white (very liquid) but no white cast on my skin, but the odor is really strong and leave a shiny look. Still My go to when I don’t want to deal with spreading my tinted or white cast sunscreen.

I have oily skin. I'm planning to to start adding retinol to my skin care as I'm almost 30 now. So all of your videos regarding retinol. I have two queries for the products that you have suggested-
1. Paula's choice retinol and klairs vit c serum. Can I use these two active ingredients all together?? Because one is the ascorbic acid. If not can you suggest me an alternate vitamin C serum which I can use with retinol?
2. Paula's choice contains retinol which I won't be able to use for the wrinkles around my eyes. In that case which brand of retinaldehyde you would recommend?

Their sunscreen contains zinc and titanium dioxide and I know these are the ingredients you love to be in a sunscreen. I’ve only ever liked their city sunscreen serum, but it wasn’t nearly enough spf coverage.

Is sulfur spot treatments ok for skin of color? Please help I’ve been using one but I kinda think it’s making it worse. 😞 it’s pretty much a sulfur zinc and alcohol mix called eradickate

Can you also explain the benefits of iron oxide in the suncreens, I heard they protect from blue filter, is this correct?
No it protects from visible light. Blue Light usually requires a specific shield like we included in Inzincable

There are so many products to review all over the world so I am okay with 3 days.
I have used Supergoop and thought the actress own it to but was corrected. I used the screen for under eyes and a mineral for the face which was tinted but still had a cast.
I use COTZ and Pipette mineral sunscreens for face and body.
I do not know if you reviewed Pipette but would be interested. Also, interested in review of Naturium which I love and Honest products. Again, there are so many products and I know it will take time for you to review.
Also you should check out Seen hair product since you said you were looking for shampoos without fragrance.

Not a sunscreen but Typology. I've been using their Bakuchiol 1% extract for a few weeks now and honestly not sure if it's working. Definitely not doing any harm though, at least visually.

Thank you for this long awaited video. And I also thought that Supergoop was related to Goop somehow. I've been using two of their mineral sunscreens - Matte Screen(SPF 40 - tinted) and Sheer Screen (SPF 30 PA+++) which are both Mineral sunscreens. Anyway I am waiting patiently for my Inzincable to arrive. I hope you will do matte version of Inzincable like Matte Screen, but without the tint.

white cast? does it show white cast on brown skin?
@@ayeshaali6462 The Matte Screen is tinted, so I don't know how brown you are, will be darker or lighter on you. But I would use my foundation over it to mask it. No white cast.

Hey, love your videos, I like to get the cheapest product on a budget. And use Tropic by Malibu SPF 50, UVA 4 stars. I also use Malibu body SPF 50, UVA 4 stars. Is this a good brand? I also use Lacura kids sun spray and cream from Aldi 50 +SPF , UVA 5 stars on my kids and me. I would like to see a video on some cheaper brands that are good for dark skin, thank you.🇬🇧

Omg yeey!!!! I've been asking this for so long and so happy that it's finally here! Can I please get your opinion on Supergoop (Re)setting 100% mineral powder, Dr V? It's SPF35 PA+++ (I know that's not ideal), just want to know if it's ok to use when we're reapplying our sunscreen. Sadly it's the only powder sunscreen I'm able to find and I want to be better at reapplying 😅
