Finally a ripple pattern that I can not only follow but can also memorize!!! Not only is this pattern doable it is also super pretty! Thanks so much for another wonderful pattern. Just love this channel and how much it has helped me over the years. Thank you. 💕
Thank you haven't done this pattern in 40 years believe that it was too complicated for me then but your demonstration was amazing I picked it up so quick thank you again!!!!
My mom and l are making lap blankets for a nursing home. This is a perfect pattern for them. I am almost done with one and plan on making several more.
I am just beginning to crochet . I am very excited about your tutorial on the simple ripple pattern. Love your teaching style. Thank you . 😀💙Emma Roberts
Thank you for this video-I get it now after looking at several other posts. The solution is the way your camera is angled that enables me to see what you are doing! You are not showing off, but actually teaching. I know it must be difficult to make a video, and I am so happy to have come upon your film tonight. Bless you for truly sharing.
This video really helped me with continuing the pattern because so many ended at just 24 stitches the 36 stitches really helped me understand this pattern better. Thank you.
Brought my daughter home from hospital in the blanket I made for her with this pattern and she still loves it 5 months later, now I'm making another one in blue for her big brother coz he steals hers all the time! Love this pattern 😊💙
Loved the colors of yarn you chose for the blanket. The tutorial is very educational for the purpose of making the blanket. Thank you so much of making the video.
Your tutorial and demonstration were very easy to understand, follow and create the desired ripple blanket stitch. I had tried another description elsewhere and just could not figure it out; my sample looked totally wrong and I was frustrated. Thank you so much for the details and also for explaining why the steps are done a certain way to make a specific look.
Great teacher!so wonderfully explained,God bless you for doing this noble job n educating countless people round the globe 👍👍👍👍God's graces always shower on u...❤️❤️🙏
A great pattern! I was looking for something that didn’t have big holes to make for my third great grandchild. With my first grandchild I decided to make a full size Afghan instead of a baby blanket. Four grandchildren and 2, now a third great grandchildren for made to be heirloom afghans. Thank you it’s coming out great in just one color “ecru”.
This would be perfect for my new great-granddaughter! I can't wait to try it! It looks beautiful, thank you. You did an amazing job walking us through it. Keep up the good work!
I appreciate your channel. You are the most amazing teacher and very passionate about your work. I use all of your patterns for my grandchildren’s blankets. Please Keep up the wonderful work
Wait at the end of every row I do my last peak then there should be 4 stitches left ? I thought 5 since there’s those two from the beginning I only do 2 treb together ? Then chain 3 and turn ? I’m confused
I have been "afraid" of learning this stitch for years. I would get frustrated, upset & I would do a different project. Thank you for this video! The way you explained it made it easier for me. Thank you. From Michigan, USA.
I may end up trying to use this on the bottom part of a poncho for length.. Thanks for the amazing video. I love the angle that you film, because it allows me to see what you're doing!
Hi mine name is Susan Aikman. I am also a beginner. I was making 6 circle from Jan Eaton books amd 3 another books. You making also my fav stitch😊😊😊😊.And i like your video
I am so glad I've subscribed to your channel. I am a beginner and my precious little grand daughter asked for a blanket and I had no idea what to do. Now I will certainly be able to make her little blanket. Thank you so much. I hate when she asks for something and I can't give it to her. Again THANK YOU SO MUCH. BE ABUNDANTLY BLESSED IN THE LORD.
This is such a great tutorial. I am making the blanket, but am also pondering making a scarf in one of the lovely Hayfield Spirit colours..wouldn't need to change colours as the yarn does it for you. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Hi - As this pattern requires multiples of 12, I'd probably go for 36 or 48, depending on how wide you'd like it...that's for a DK yarn. If you used an aran or chunky, you might want to chain less stitches.
This is just lovely. I need more babies in my life😂. Any idea how many balls of each color would be needed for a baby-sized blanket? Your tutorials help so much. Thank you❤
So incredibly helpful. Thank you! Onto my second blanket ever. Did my first blanket all in half double because I was learning but now I’m ready to branch out into a more complex stitch and am going to do this one! 🙂
I love this pattern and would love to give it a try sometime!!! Thank you for sharing or should I say teaching us which is really what your doing!!! ❤️
Thank you so much for your tutorials! You are a great teacher. Just finished making a baby/lap blanket with this stitch using Caron Big Cakes. Sorry I can’t figure out how to add a picture.
I want to thank you so much for this tutorial...I FINALLY learned to do this pattern. Thanks again to you. I have tried other video's to learn this and just gave up because I wasn't getting it. You explained and showed so well at what you were doing it wasn't hard to understand. I am so proud now I can do this pattern. Love the colors your doing very pretty.
Amanda Cutsforth Love your blanket and am going to get the wool and give it a go right away. Will keep you posted and thanks for giving such clear instructions in your tutorial
I don't recall the size of the hook to use! I will be using regular yarn! Glad the weather has cooled so I can get started on this project!!! Thanks for your help!!! 💜💜
I love your tutorials!!!! Thank you so much! I started this blanket today and I am trying to send a picture but cant figure out how. I guess you cant on here. My colors are different. I am using white, 2 purples and 2 pinks and thinking of adding a variegated yarn but havent gotten there yet. I have white separating each color but am second guessing myself. Is there a way to send you a picture?
Thank you so much for your tutorials. I am stuck in NY and have decided to learn to crochet. Your tutorials make learning very easy. You teach at just the right speed and make me feel like I can do it. I have made 5 of your blankets already. My first grandchild was born recently so these will come in very handy. My only problem is trying to buy yarn online since all the stores that sell yarn are not allowed to open. I can’t thank you enough for saving my sanity during this pandemic!! Can you recommend a good yarn for beginners?
Congratulations on your first grandchild! ❤️ As a beginner, I found using a chunky yarn and 6mm hook easier because the stitches were bigger and easier to see!
Absolutely adorable and just what I was looking for... Can you tell me how many chains you would do for a baby blanket.. as I think it would " shrink" because of the waves..
Blossom, good morning!! Love your Ripple Stitch variation on you blamket. I purchased some #3 yarn and am trying to see what I can make with it because it is too flimsy. Any feedback will be appreciated. I am losing my eyesight, so it is difficult to crochet any baby items because I can’t see the little stitches! thank you!❣️
Hi Rebekah, I love this blanket and the colours; I have 50 gms each of 8 balls of different colours. Can you please advise me how many grams would you need for a baby blanket. Since I have the yarn and hook ready, I am anxiously waiting to start. Thank you. God Bless.
If possible could please answer before this afternoon I want to do this pattern but if I don't do a row of treble crochet first get to many holes so if I was to do that first I would I start the pattern after that please help
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I love this pattern, Your instructions and the angle of your camera seeing how exactly it is done is so perfect for me. Now I really understand how to do it and will definitely be making this lovely pattern.
Hello Teacher, Great tutorial, I am starting my first blanket and I have a question on the chain. How much does the chain length shrink with the ripples. I want make a king blanket measuring 3m x 3m. And I didn't know how how maby to make the chain?
I love this stitch! However, my blanket is rippling! It does not lie flat. Perhaps my foundation chain is too tight? Should I use a larger hook for my initial chain?
Hi, first time here. I was checking out other crochet channels and saw this video on the side panel. I saw the blanket and loved the colors and design! I'm definitely, going to check out more of your videos!!! 👍❤️
You have me hooked on the alt turning chain now, is there a version of this that would incorporate that instead of the ch3 turn? I'm not sure if I'm thinking it correctly, could you not chain and do the alt plus a DC in that first stitch?
Yes, you would just turn your project without doing the chain 3 and do the double stacked single stitch and a double crochet right next to it! I am not a fancy boarder person so I LOVE the straight edge
How many chains are needed to make a baby blanket. I realize it’s in multiples of 12 and then add 3 at the end. Appreciate your response! Thank you so kindly.
Finally a ripple pattern that I can not only follow but can also memorize!!! Not only is this pattern doable it is also super pretty! Thanks so much for another wonderful pattern. Just love this channel and how much it has helped me over the years. Thank you. 💕
