I have never, in 5 years of re-training myself to crochet since childhood, been able to do a ripple blanket. I absolutely love the ripple, but I could never get my stitch count correct or get my increase/decrease in the right place. But I just received my skein tones skeins and your such a good instructor I want to give it another go!! 🤞🏽😬

I started a blanket 15 years ago with my mommy. It started out great then clearly I didn’t continue with the same pattern or something and it got wider and wider somehow. I stopped and put it away. Then I lost it. For 15 years. My mom passed away last year and I flipping found the blanket in the back of my closet! I pulled it out and couldn’t remember the pattern or the stitch or even how to read the instructions. A friend helped me to remember the stitch and how to hold the yarn, etc. so I started practicing on a different yarn and even worse this time, one side got wider and the other got shorter. I had no idea what I was doing. I found your video and undid the whole thing. I’m starting fresh on the practice yarn using your video and I WILL finish the blanket I started with my mommy. Thanks for posting this!

I started this pattern about two weeks ago and I am obsessed with how great it is. This is the first project I've made bigger than a scarf and it's going fast but looks amazing. The stitch seems like it should be hard but it's easy to get into a rhythm. Also, real talk, I've definitely gotten to the end of a row, realized I had the wrong number of stitches left, gone back over the row and found I'd miscounted, and then... Kept going anyway because I'm too lazy to rip out a row of work. As long as I've only been off by one or two, if I just double crochet into the remaining stitches after the double crochet two together stitches, double crochet twice into the chain, and continued on with the stitch pattern in the next row, it's been totally fine! As a beginner, knowing the pattern can tolerate my minor mistakes has been a huge relief. 15/10, highly recommended.

Since I've began to crochet again, I've never been able to crochet a ripple throw. You are the absolute BEST! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was able to follow your directions of multiples and came out with the same amount left at the end. Never have I been able to do that with other UA-cam videos! I'm working on a project for my father-in-law and can't wait to show you my finished project. You are Amazing Toni!

Ah this is perfect! I was trying to find some easy patterns for lapghans for some of the nursing home residents I like. (When I give multiple people who live together gifts, I like them to be similar but also different/individual.) I'm excited to make this in blues and greens for one of the fellas.
Also it was super cute seeing you slowly wrap yourself in the blanket at the end.

I have learned so much from watching your videos. Thank you for being a most patient teacher! (It took me a while watching how you hold the yarn to get the hang of it for tension and hand comfort). Every new pattern I watch you demonstrate is something for me to aspire to and practice. I love how you crochet while sitting next to your partner. That is so nice. Thanks, again.

I had some trouble figuring this out at first. For whaterver reason, even though i followed your stitch count, mine worked better doing 3 stitches at a time instead of 4. Once I figured that out it was great. Thanks.

You have a wonderful voice for videos and the explanation of stitches in this pattern would be great for a beginner. You are the first person that I have found that holds your yarn and hook like I do. Sometimes it makes me hurt to watch some of the others. They are going to have arthritis very bad when they get older. Love this pattern and your video.

Thanks for this refresher of the ripple stitch. My grandchildren & I have planned for me to make my daughter an Ocean to Seashore-themed blanket using this stitch and colors from Ocean blue/green to sandy colors. This should be nice! Thank you again!

Thank you for giving another great video. I love your content because it is rehearsed and well executed (no 'hmm' and stumbles in your delivery). Really like the extra effort of the Table of Contents - helps with knowing where to go when viewing again! Thank you for all you do!

One of my favorite blankets. I did one with alternating cream one way and the back was a variegated color. I got rid of a lot of my variegated colors, and every bit of cream I had. Very fun to do!

I love this pattern!!! If you want a softer ripple, with less pointy peaks and more curved over, I do 3 and 3 instead of 2 and 4. So 3 DC increase, 3 DC, 3 DC decrease, 3 DC decrease, 3 DC, 3 DC increase, and so on, but the starting chain pattern is the same
