Okay I just finished my blanket. I started with 213 chains long (including 3 starting chains) and completed 105 rows. 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨 it has taken me about 3 weeks to complete it and I am SOOOOO happy!!!!! I alternated two colors; 5 rows per color; Sage Green and Medium Gray. I will be posting a picture to Instagram shortly and will absolutely be tagging you!! 😘😘 Thank you so much for this tutorial!!! I can’t wait to do more and make moreeeeeee 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@brittanygardner9776 I apologize I did not measure it exactly, I just used my King size mattress as my source for size. The completed blanket covered the entire king sized mattress. I’m pretty sure I used a 4.0mm hook and classic acrylic yarn from Michael’s brand yarn. 🧶 I hope this helped!! Happy crocheting 🥳
I really appreciate your wording in this tutorial. Using "next" followed by "after that" makes this much easier to follow than tutorials that just say "next, next, next..."
I started a blanket 15 years ago with my mommy. It started out great then clearly I didn’t continue with the same pattern or something and it got wider and wider somehow. I stopped and put it away. Then I lost it. For 15 years. My mom passed away last year and I flipping found the blanket in the back of my closet! I pulled it out and couldn’t remember the pattern or the stitch or even how to read the instructions. A friend helped me to remember the stitch and how to hold the yarn, etc. so I started practicing on a different yarn and even worse this time, one side got wider and the other got shorter. I had no idea what I was doing. I found your video and undid the whole thing. I’m starting fresh on the practice yarn using your video and I WILL finish the blanket I started with my mommy. Absolutely beautiful mocha ripple afghan. I used to live in Detroit and during the winter (many years of visits to Kmart and Hudson’s for yarn on sale) I crocheted everything. Doilies, runners, afghans hats. The patterns have completed left me. lol. Watched this video twice and I feel the cobwebs dusting off. Thanks for this wonderful review.so patient and easy to follow.

I have always wanted to make ripple stitch Afghan and you are the first instructor that has explained it so I could understand it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love your videos!
I’ve been mentally preparing myself for a big project next year, I love your channel and this tutorial, and so far I can’t wait to get started on a blanket I’m making for my grandmother. It’s supposed to be a ripple with enough color changes to make it look like a beach with waves from the ocean. It has to be big enough to be a throw blanket so that’s 50“ x 60“. She loves beach themed items and I thought maybe this would be a great gift to present for next year’s Christmas.
I pet my yarn too! Then once I have finished a project, I look at it admiringly. I take pictures of it. I show it off to friends. 😁 I just found your channel. I love it.

You have a wonderful voice for videos and the explanation of stitches in this pattern would be great for a beginner. You are the first person that I have found that holds your yarn and hook like I do. Sometimes it makes me hurt to watch some of the others. They are going to have arthritis very bad when they get older. Love this pattern and your video.
I'm just getting back into crocheting after over 50 years of being weaned off it. I absolutely love the sedge stitch and I'm crocheting baby blankets and afghans (throws) using it, but I saw a shawl made with the ripple stitch and I have to learn how to do it. It seems somewhat involved and counting has to be done. At 73, I hope my memory holds because it does look lovely. Thank you so much for the tutorial. Of course, you know I'll view it multiple times. Thanks again.😊
Just finished making this, I used mainstay red, white and blue. The only color I had and I love how it came out. Thank you this was very easy. I will make more.
Because of YOU girl, I will have a go at the ripple as I've always wanted to😊 Your style of teaching is just perfect for me and the speed you speak at. Many thanks from a crazy cat lady in Yorkshire UK! 😍😻
I started this pattern about two weeks ago and I am obsessed with how great it is. This is the first project I've made bigger than a scarf and it's going fast but looks amazing. The stitch seems like it should be hard but it's easy to get into a rhythm. Also, real talk, I've definitely gotten to the end of a row, realized I had the wrong number of stitches left, gone back over the row and found I'd miscounted, and then... Kept going anyway because I'm too lazy to rip out a row of work. As long as I've only been off by one or two, if I just double crochet into the remaining stitches after the double crochet two together stitches, double crochet twice into the chain, and continued on with the stitch pattern in the next row, it's been totally fine! As a beginner, knowing the pattern can tolerate my minor mistakes has been a huge relief. 15/10, highly recommended.
I have learned so much from watching your videos. Thank you for being a most patient teacher! (It took me a while watching how you hold the yarn to get the hang of it for tension and hand comfort). Every new pattern I watch you demonstrate is something for me to aspire to and practice. I love how you crochet while sitting next to your partner. That is so nice. Thanks, again.
Thanks for this refresher of the ripple stitch. My grandchildren & I have planned for me to make my daughter an Ocean to Seashore-themed blanket using this stitch and colors from Ocean blue/green to sandy colors. This should be nice! Thank you again!
Wow, I've tried this pattern so many times on different tutorials, and I just couldn't get my head around it, and I've been crocheting for a few years now.. I tried your tutorial, and I got it first time round.. Thank you so much 🎉❤😊
This is the first video of yours that I've seen, but it definitely won't be the last. Your energy ad personality is wonderful! Your instructions are easy to follow, yet in depth enough to teach a fairly new crocheter. Beautiful work.
Since I've began to crochet again, I've never been able to crochet a ripple throw. You are the absolute BEST! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was able to follow your directions of multiples and came out with the same amount left at the end. Never have I been able to do that with other UA-cam videos! I'm working on a project for my father-in-law and can't wait to show you my finished project. You are Amazing Toni! 💕Lisa Duron

12 seconds in and you have the BEST vibes
I have learned so much from watching your videos. Thank you for being a most patient teacher! (It took me a while watching how you hold the yarn to get the hang of it for tension and hand comfort). Every new pattern I watch you demonstrate is something for me to aspire to and practice. I love how you crochet while sitting next to your partner. That is so nice. Thanks, again.
Thank you for your help with this stitch. I’m now making a blanket.
Oh my goodness...you are so sweet and the best crochet teacher...thank you so much. I have always wanted to make this pattern. You are amazing xx
Is a very comprehensive lovely tutorial. Thank you!
Also, I'm in LOVE with that colour combination and all the colours themselves too.
Anyone else wishing there was more than 1 video a week! Could literally watch your videos all day Toni!❤
I pet my makes ALL the time too. From the skeins to in-progress projects (gotta test the texture) to afterward. Yarn is just so touchably perfect.
You are not only talented but warm and fuzzy love your video.❤
Your afghan is beautiful. You are a very talented lady. I'm happy I found your your youtube site.
I love how you're cuddling with your blanket at the end of the vid😂❤ love you❤
The yarn colors are wonderful… I love them… Thanks so much for the tutorial.
I listen to books and crochet too! I am so glad I found your channel! Thank you
Yes I do that to listen audio book and crochet... Listening from St Vincent and the Grenadines🇻🇨
Your stitches are so beautifully even. Gorgeous
I just finished making this Mocha Ripple Afghan, it is so beautiful I am so happy how it came out, thank you.
How many skeins did you use?
@@amyallen9611 I used 16 skeins of yarn, which was 2 Skeins of each color
Thanks for this refresher of the ripple stitch. My grandchildren & I have planned for me to make my daughter an Ocean to Seashore-themed blanket using this stitch and colors from Ocean blue/green to sandy colors. This should be nice! Thank you again!
Easy to understand, coming from someone who taught myself the box style as a child. Thank you
Wow, I've tried this pattern so many times on different tutorials, and I just couldn't get my head around it, and I've been crocheting for a few years now..

Beautiful! I’m going to try Red Heart hombre yarn in grandkids favorite colors; blues for one and orange or corals for the other.
I love the colors in that ripple blanket.
I've been thinking about a ripple stitch afghan in the back of my cluttered brain... Now I know it's meant to be. Lots of fond memories with this beauty. Thank you!
