I never put much stock in shampoo quality. I had a clarifier and moisturizing one but on the inexpensive side. Once I got AG and Innersense I now realize quality is a very important part of the process. My hair feels and behaves some much better.
Yep! For my hair in many instances I am not of the mindset that a more inexpensive product can work just as good and I also know it is a blessing and I'm grateful for the quality products I do use.

Your content continues to impress me. The ppl I love and children and families that I work with often ask me for support with their hair and I always have a hard time when it comes to products. I actually usually recommend a curl specialist because there may be things I can’t see or don’t know about their hair. But THIS simplifies is sooooooooo much more, especially where it comes to process of styling and choosing products, as well as the health of hair. I think you should do more of these. You already do them but the explanations here are so good. Ppl often don’t understand the “why” and they buy products here and there, not really under why or why not it’s a good choice and how it would work in their regimen.
I am absolutely LOVING my hair after doing the detox! I can't keep my hands out of my hair, it feels so good! I am never going back. I wash my hair with shampoo now twice a week and my scalp issues have cleared up. I don't even do wash and gos (I need a trim big time). I am just doing twist outs (shout out to The Doux Mousse Def) and buns. My hair behaves now. If the wind gets my hair messy I can just smooth it down with my hands and it's neatly back in place. That would NEVER happen before. Oh and my bun looks fuller too! Can you tell I'm loving this?😆
Same I’ve been twisting it out with The Doux. I’m currently experimenting it though with the Giovanni Direct Leave-In to give my hair more body texture and longevity.
@@PreppyFay12 Yeah I don't get the longevity with The Doux that I think I should and I've been told it's because I am air drying with it. Actually I think Fo mentioned this. I'm going to invest in a hooded dryer to see if that helps the definition last longer. I only need it to last 3-4 days because I'm washing again at that point. Do you dry your twists under a dryer?
@@cfoster6804 Yeah I’m drying it under a hooded dryer. There’ something about the Giovanni leave-in that leaves my hair feeling fuller. But The Doux Mousse really flattens my hair and I actually like a fuller looker on day 1 because I wash every 4 days or so since I work out 4+ times a week so I don’t care for it to be super defined because my hair will be flat. I have fine strands and medium density and tight coils. Also The Doux I’m not sure it holds up super well in high humidity. My stylist was saying the same thing so I’m experimenting with different mousses and I want to try with the leave in and less mousse or some combo like that. But who knows I could have gotten a fuller look because I let it air dry a bit with the leave in no then applied mousse and sat under a hooded drier. I don’t want to do that though because I learned air drying could damage the hair.

Shalom Fo Adunni. Thank you for your informative video. Nowadays, a lot of hair influencers/UA-camrs have missed the mark in terms of conveying/delivering their content. In my humble opinion, most of them have been pushing out (five-plus years) meaningless or what I call...copy-cat content with no substance. Stay true and transparent and your watchers will naturally gravitate to you.

Your hair is growing so quickly and looks visibly longer every single video-do you get a summer growth spurt? Great video concept! I love the idea of providing options for people that may not want to dive right into using more expensive products. Having ingredient knowledge is so freeing. I can be anywhere now without my staples and pick up things that will work decently well at the drugstore with the knowledge that I have.

i joined seesomecurls and then paired with a stylist that does wash, blowdry and trims for me on a regular basis until i can afford a curly cut in the future :D. i def agree that healthy hair can be accessible no matter the budget. you just gotta find what works for you!
Hey...for us as black people if we even have the space to consider our hair, healthy hair care can be out of reach for some. But there are different levels where people can get healthy hair care for a steal. Also, there are some stylists that can shape black hair regardless even if they haven't been trained in curly cuts, they don't have to be. They can throw down on a cut.

I saw you made a post on Kayla's video about the Felicia leatherwood brush (assuming that's why your using the wide tooth comb?). You could try the denman d38 paddle brush. It works great worth the coins. I use to use the tangle teaser and when I switched over about 3 months ago after my last trim my stylist noticed a difference in my ends. I just had another trim and I had less cut off.
I purchased a different brush. I'll have to be pretty quiet about what I use for a moment though because I need to see how it will work for a quarter and I also need to be extremely careful with what I share. 😂
Ohhh how I wanted to love the Denman brush. I seen the way it detangles, defines and caresses curls but alas it is not for me!! (in my Shakespeare voice) Lol That Denman brush REFUSES to go through my hair. However, a paddle brush or wide tooth comb would glide through with ease. No words!🤷🏾♀️
@@miss_kolissa Deman has a lot of different brushes from styling/smoothing, blow drying to detangling. I think that gets lost in translation. The D38 is a detangling paddle brush, not the typical one you see people using to define curls. That is not a detangling brush and will pull your hair out if you try! 😂

Thank you for another priceless lesson in what to consider and how we might strive toward healthy hair. I have found a curly cut stylist, thanks to your and another viewer's suggestion, in the Dayton area of Ohio. She is about a 50 minute drive from me, which is certainly doable! While I really love the idea of a curly cut for my Wash and Go's, I also still like versatility and the option of also wearing a blowout now and again. Will it be possible to wear both styles with a curly cut?

Must give credit to this video. I’m presently looking for a nice shampoo to replace the black soap I’ve been using. I tried a shampoo product from Cantu. Can’t remember the name of it but my hair hated it. I need some thing protein free. Still on the hunt. May just end up using pentene Pro V shampoo To match the conditioner I use. Also saving up for a curly cut. Already know what shape I want😏💁🏾♀️.
You likely don't need protein free. Don't worry about that. If you can access a stylist virtually through for example the Hydra Bar or Black Girl Curls digital services they can give you a product list. Also check on the resources in my description. I mentioned the Pantene suggested by a stylist in our previous convo because I didn't know at what point you're starting and what's available to you, but since you're saving for a curly cut if you can in the meantime you may way to link up with a curl artist through a virtual service or through the free info curl artists may provide online (but it may be time consuming and difficult to navigate the "free" info, a heads up).

The problem I have and my companion is the scent. He hates those minty fragrances so I had to give away most of my products. I prefer unscented or less lightly scented products.
I am a believer in buying better quality products. I can tell the difference now for sure. It's them curly cut prices I take issue with. Mainly I believe the cost of those cuts is designed to give this stylist a certain lifestyle that lets them be in the salon less and gatherer other streams of income like digital salons and other online courses. I'm all for understanding the price of cosmetology school, continuing education, and work-life balance but that model seems unsustainable as your clientele will be very small. Many working-class black women can not afford to pay for $200-400 hair cuts on a quarterly basis. Having to save up just to get a haircut takes away the value for me. If I were struggling to make ends meet and I saved up 400 dollars hair would not be where that money would go. The balance is off.
I'll post a detailed discussion on Friday but for now I will say I don't expect for black curl artists to lower their prices for curly cuts especially since curly cuts aren't a necessity for healthy hair. I would also be clear about the tiers for pricing. There are many curl artist who charge less than 200 for a quarterly cut. Being a hair stylist is very expensive to maintain. I have to present the balanced perspective that curly cuts are inaccessible because I need to be transparent that I am privileged to save for quarterly hair cuts. Also some people can't get curly cuts due to locations and because inequality has made it difficult for many of us black people to even think about or invest in our hair how we would like to. How do we strike a balance where black stylists can live in the comfort they deserve and black people including stylists in the midst of all the inequality we experience find our way to more accessible healthy hair care for everyone?
I hear you girl! I really do. My curl stylist charges $100 to wash style and trim my ends every time I see her and I asked if I could just wash and style my hair and just come for a cut but she said she can’t because of regulations/ sanitary reasons she has to wash my hair. I’m thinking now to push my trims to once every 4 months (3 times a year) instead of 3 months (4 times a year) because yes it’s expensive and definitely something I have to budget for but budgeting on its own is a practice and I’ve found the shape of my hair to be valuable because I do less manipulation on it to get it to look a certain way and now spend less time and money on my hair overall. We’ll see though how often I’ll be seeing her but with my fine kinky strands I don’t think it’ll be good to go long (4+ months) without trims and I don’t want to trim my own hair and jack up my shape.
Girls it’s like night and day when I use the hooded dryer especially with certified products like wrap foams/ mousses that are traditionally designed to be set with heat.
@@PreppyFay12 how long do you stay under the dryer for please? Do you use a hot or warm setting?, and do you also finish with a cool? I hear so many conflicting things, but a hairstylist in a video I watched just yesterday said that gels and mousses are meant to be used with heat. I never knew that. 😯
@@BeaunaturelleFeb11 So how long you sir will depend on your hair characteristics. For example having longer denser (lot more hairs on your head) will increase the drying time. For me depending on what combo o use can have my hair set within 25-40 minutes it all depends. My hair is short, medium density, tightly coiled

I’ve just started this wash condition and style thing and need to know if going under a hooded dryer is absolutely necessary. I know you said that you sit under the dryer for about 40/45 minutes, do you finish with a cool shot to close the cuticles? I’d really like to try what your regimen, coz your hair looks amazing. 👍🏾
Hey! You likely want to consult with a trusted hair professional to fully develop your own routine. There are some resources in my description. I also don't air dry or use a cool shot. To my knowledge a cool shot isn't needed to lower the cuticle. Hope this is helpful!
Would you be willing to share which detangling tool you ordered? I also have tried the Felicia Leatherwood Brush and haven’t in awhile because I don’t know you to use it without my hair breaking. My hair is tight and fine and the only thing that has worked for me is finger detangling. My stylist uses the Felicia brush when I see her but for weekly shampoo sessions it just wasn’t working out. I know detangling tools cut down on detangling time which I love but it’s hard for me to find any that don’t break tight fine coils. The natural state is an already fragile state but I’m tired of using my finger lol 😩
I won't be sharing it for now and if I do share it it will have to be at least after a quarter of use and I won't be recommending it to others because you know that's not how I roll 😂. General recommendations for me a typically contributing to bad habits such as purchasing things we don't need for naturals. Have you talked to your stylist about your issues with the Felecia Leatherwood brush?
I used to own the wet brush at one time and returned it. I had to split my hair into such tiny sections or the bristles would just bend and not get through my hair. There’s a stylist Jennifer Rose in NYC that recommends the Wet Brush for very tight coily naturals. It just felt like it took as much time as finger detangling because the sections had to be so small. I might just have to go back to the Wet Brush and be patient. Kinky hair is fragile and requires gentleness and patience. Do you own the original wet brush or a different version?
It's not that something is wrong with eco styler or wet line. To follow their philosophies they don't use heavy plastic gels like eco or wetline regularly. Aeleise expressed (I'm paraphrasing from memory) depending on the context in her opinion eco can make sense, like if there is a wedding and someone's hair needs to not move eco may be the styler of choice. The stylists of Black Girl Curls feel eco and wetline cause heavy buildup that if not cleansed properly can assist in hair becoming dehydrated. Also I believe Aeleise (paraphrasing from memory) has expressed that using cleansers strong enough to remove the heavy ingredients in eco or wetline regularly does not contribute to maintaining the integrity of the hair as best as possible. Now what does Fo think, I don't have judgment for what people enjoy for their hair. I discuss my hair and info I've learned about hair care in the hope that it's inspiring and fun.

Couple things to keep in mind. Black Girl Curls specifically Aisha does not recommend using a wide toothed comb to detangle tight curls. Paraphrasing her she said wide toothed combs do not get all of the shed hair out. She recommends the Felecia Leatherwood brush, which is black owned. I am using a wide toothed comb in this vid because it is more relatable and I also haven't gotten my new detangling tool in the mail. Lastly if you're looking for a black owned wide toothed comb Pattern Beauty has some, but I'm not sure if it is seamless. When I googled seamless combs the Pattern comb popped up. Hope this helps!

I brushed the Felicia leatherwood brush on my arm and it felt quite scratchy! I was surprised. I can’t imagine what it’s doing to my hair over time. Ill look into the pattern tool.

Hey! The stylists I learned from actually don't recommend the dryer I use but they do recommend any quality table top dryer. The dryer I use works for me and my previous stylist used it but for some it can ruin their hair style because of how it blows the hair in the middle upward.
Moisturizing hair is a process not a product. Selecting appropriate shampoo, conditioner, and possibly high quality light leave in with heat protection properties matters. Also you have to consider the condition of your hair. Is your hair already having problems retaining moisture, if so then braids may be a dehydrating and damaging style choice. I currently don't have a set stylist. My previous stylist raised her prices, so she no longer fits my lifestyle (no hard feelings, just facts). I'm currently looking for a new curl artist and I get Curly Cuts around every 4 months. A great place to start if you're looking for someone is the cut it kinky directory. It's listed in the description.
Base gels are typically botanical, which means they have humectant rich ingredients like marshmallow root or agave that help the hair retain moisture and possibly attract moisture from the atmosphere. Topper gels typically have some sort of antihumectant property to further fix the hair in place and in a sense seal in the more humectant rich base. But things can get tricky, there are some gels that contain humectants but aren't typically used as base gels due to their antihumectant properties. If you can subscribe to the Hydra Bar Salon virtual education or Black Girl Curls virtual education in the description would be very helpful.
It seems like not many of the products used in the detox or in the black girl curls are black owned. That would be something for me to get past. I know that’s not the fault of the “founders” of black girl curls, but it is difficult for me.
I think they recommend a good bit of black owned companies, (Trepadora, Curl Junkie, Curl Mix, The Doux, Uncle Funky's Daughter, and Tre Luxe). I hope that as things get better black owned companies can do better in supplying higher quality products that consumers can purchase in liters and save money. I know of some black owned companies that sale liters but for me I find their formulations to be problematic.
In addition to the black owned companies that Fo pointed out, they also mention some of Camille Rose Naturals, TGIN, Miellé Organics, Soultanicals, Obia and Oyin Handmade products in the Wash Your Damn Hair E-Book, Chapter 5.

I never put much stock in shampoo quality. I had a clarifier and moisturizing one but on the inexpensive side. Once I got AG and Innersense I now realize quality is a very important part of the process. My hair feels and behaves some much better.

Your content continues to impress me. The ppl I love and children and families that I work with often ask me for support with their hair and I always have a hard time when it comes to products. I actually usually recommend a curl specialist because there may be things I can’t see or don’t know about their hair. But THIS simplifies is sooooooooo much more, especially where it comes to process of styling and choosing products, as well as the health of hair. I am absolutely LOVING my hair after doing the detox! I can't keep my hands out of my hair, it feels so good! I am never going back. I wash my hair with shampoo now twice a week and my scalp issues have cleared up. I don't even do wash and gos (I need a trim big time). I am just doing twist outs (shout out to The Doux Mousse Def) and buns. My hair behaves now. If the wind gets my hair messy I can just smooth it down with my hands and it's neatly back in place. That would NEVER happen before. Oh and my bun looks fuller too! Can you tell I'm loving this?😆
Same I’ve been twisting it out with The Doux. I’m currently experimenting it though with the Giovanni Direct Leave-In to give my hair more body texture and longevity.

I'm going to invest in a hooded dryer to see if that helps the definition last longer. I only need it to last 3-4 days because I'm washing again at that point. Do you dry your twists under a dryer?
@@cfoster6804 Yeah I’m drying it under a hooded dryer. There’ something about the Giovanni leave-in that leaves my hair feeling fuller. But The Doux Mousse really flattens my hair and I actually like a fuller looker on day 1 because I wash every 4 days or so since I work out 4+ times a week so I don’t care for it to be super defined because my hair will be flat. I have fine strands and medium density and tight coils. Also The Doux I’m not sure it holds up super well in high humidity. My stylist was saying the same thing so I’m experimenting with different mousses and I want to try with the leave in and less mousse or some combo like that. But who knows I could have gotten a fuller look because I let it air dry a bit with the leave in no then applied mousse and sat under a hooded drier. I don’t want to do that though because I learned air drying could damage the hair.

Hey...for us as black people if we even have the space to consider our hair, healthy hair care can be out of reach for some. But there are different levels where people can get healthy hair care for a steal. Also, there are some stylists that can shape black hair regardless even if they haven't been trained in curly cuts, they don't have to be. They can throw down on a cut.

I saw you made a post on Kayla's video about the Felicia leatherwood brush (assuming that's why your using the wide tooth comb?). You could try the denman d38 paddle brush. It works great worth the coins. I use to use the tangle teaser and when I switched over about 3 months ago after my last trim my stylist noticed a difference in my ends. I just had another trim and I had less cut off.
I purchased a different brush. I'll have to be pretty quiet about what I use for a moment though because I need to see how it will work for a quarter and I also need to be extremely careful with what I share. 😂

Ohhh how I wanted to love the Denman brush. I seen the way it detangles, defines and caresses curls but alas it is not for me!! (in my Shakespeare voice) Lol
That Denman brush REFUSES to go through my hair. However, a paddle brush or wide tooth comb would glide through with ease. No words!🤷🏾♀️
@@miss_kolissa Deman has a lot of different brushes from styling/smoothing, blow drying to detangling. I think that gets lost in translation. The D38 is a detangling paddle brush, not the typical one you see people using to define curls. That is not a detangling brush and will pull your hair out if you try! 😂

Must give credit to this video. I’m presently looking for a nice shampoo to replace the black soap I’ve been using. I tried a shampoo product from Cantu. Can’t remember the name of it but my hair hated it. I need some thing protein free. Still on the hunt. May just end up using pentene Pro V shampoo To match the conditioner I use. Also saving up for a curly cut. Already know what shape I want😏💁🏾♀️.
You likely don't need protein free. Don't worry about that. If you can access a stylist virtually through for example the Hydra Bar or Black Girl Curls digital services they can give you a product list. Also check on the resources in my description. I mentioned the Pantene suggested by a stylist in our previous convo because I didn't know at what point you're starting and what's available to you, but since you're saving for a curly cut if you can in the meantime you may way to link up with a curl artist through a virtual service or through the free info curl artists may provide online (but it may be time consuming and difficult to navigate the "free" info, a heads up).

I am a believer in buying better quality products. I can tell the difference now for sure. It's them curly cut prices I take issue with. Mainly I believe the cost of those cuts is designed to give this stylist a certain lifestyle that lets them be in the salon less and gatherer other streams of income like digital salons and other online courses. I'm all for understanding the price of cosmetology school, continuing education, and work-life balance but that model seems unsustainable as your clientele will be very small. Many working-class black women can not afford to pay for $200-400 hair cuts on a quarterly basis. Having to save up just to get a haircut takes away the value for me. If I were struggling to make ends meet and I saved up 400 dollars hair would not be where that money would go. The balance is off.
I'll post a detailed discussion on Friday but for now I will say I don't expect for black curl artists to lower their prices for curly cuts especially since curly cuts aren't a necessity for healthy hair. I would also be clear about the tiers for pricing. There are many curl artist who charge less than 200 for a quarterly cut. Being a hair stylist is very expensive to maintain. I have to present the balanced perspective that curly cuts are inaccessible because I need to be transparent that I am privileged to save for quarterly hair cuts. Also some people can't get curly cuts due to locations and because inequality has made it difficult for many of us black people to even think about or invest in our hair how we would like to. How do we strike a balance where black stylists can live in the comfort they deserve and black people including stylists in the midst of all the inequality we experience find our way to more accessible healthy hair care for everyone?
I hear you girl! I really do. My curl stylist charges $100 to wash style and trim my ends every time I see her and I asked if I could just wash and style my hair and just come for a cut but she said she can’t because of regulations/ sanitary reasons she has to wash my hair. I’m thinking now to push my trims to once every 4 months (3 times a year) instead of 3 months (4 times a year) because yes it’s expensive and definitely something I have to budget for but budgeting on its own is a practice and I’ve found the shape of my hair to be valuable because I do less manipulation on it to get it to look a certain way and now spend less time and money on my hair overall. We’ll see though how often I’ll be seeing her but with my fine kinky strands I don’t think it’ll be good to go long (4+ months) without trims and I don’t want to trim my own hair and jack up my shape.

Hello Fo, lovely video, one question, is the hooded dryer absolutely necessary. Will it affect results if I don't have or use one?
Girls it’s like night and day when I use the hooded dryer especially with certified products like wrap foams/ mousses that are traditionally designed to be set with heat.

For me depending on what combo o use can have my hair set within 25-40 minutes it all depends. My hair is short, medium density, tightly coiled

Hey! You likely want to consult with a trusted hair professional to fully develop your own routine. There are some resources in my description. I also don't air dry or use a cool shot. To my knowledge a cool shot isn't needed to lower the cuticle. Hope this is helpful!

Would you be willing to share which detangling tool you ordered? I also have tried the Felicia Leatherwood Brush and haven’t in awhile because I don’t know you to use it without my hair breaking. My hair is tight and fine and the only thing that has worked for me is finger detangling. My stylist uses the Felicia brush when I see her but for weekly shampoo sessions it just wasn’t working out. I know detangling tools cut down on detangling time which I love but it’s hard for me to find any that don’t break tight fine coils. The natural state is an already fragile state but I’m tired of using my finger lol 😩
I won't be sharing it for now and if I do share it it will have to be at least after a quarter of use and I won't be recommending it to others because you know that's not how I roll 😂. General recommendations for me a typically contributing to bad habits such as purchasing things we don't need for naturals. I noticed with the brush I have to finger detangle properly AND work in smaller sections. I love the "wet brush" more tho.
I used to own the wet brush at one time and returned it. I had to split my hair into such tiny sections or the bristles would just bend and not get through my hair. There’s a stylist Jennifer Rose in NYC that recommends the Wet Brush for very tight coily naturals. It just felt like it took as much time as finger detangling because the sections had to be so small. I might just have to go back to the Wet Brush and be patient. Kinky hair is fragile and requires gentleness and patience. Do you own the original wet brush or a different version?

It's not that something is wrong with eco styler or wet line. To follow their philosophies they don't use heavy plastic gels like eco or wetline regularly. Aeleise expressed (I'm paraphrasing from memory) depending on the context in her opinion eco can make sense, like if there is a wedding and someone's hair needs to not move eco may be the styler of choice. The stylists of Black Girl Curls feel eco and wetline cause heavy buildup that if not cleansed properly can assist in hair becoming dehydrated. Also I believe Aeleise (paraphrasing from memory) has expressed that using cleansers strong enough to remove the heavy ingredients in eco or wetline regularly does not contribute to maintaining the integrity of the hair as best as possible. Now what does Fo think, I don't have judgment for what people enjoy for their hair. I discuss my hair and info I've learned about hair care in the hope that it's inspiring and fun.

Couple things to keep in mind. Black Girl Curls specifically Aisha does not recommend using a wide toothed comb to detangle tight curls. Paraphrasing her she said wide toothed combs do not get all of the shed hair out. She recommends the Felecia Leatherwood brush, which is black owned. I am using a wide toothed comb in this vid because it is more relatable and I also haven't gotten my new detangling tool in the mail. Lastly if you're looking for a black owned wide toothed comb Pattern Beauty has some, but I'm not sure if it is seamless. When I googled seamless combs the Pattern comb popped up. Hope this helps!

Hey! The stylists I learned from actually don't recommend the dryer I use but they do recommend any quality table top dryer. The dryer I use works for me and my previous stylist used it but for some it can ruin their hair style because of how it blows the hair in the middle upward.

Moisturizing hair is a process not a product. Selecting appropriate shampoo, conditioner, and possibly high quality light leave in with heat protection properties matters. Also you have to consider the condition of your hair. Is your hair already having problems retaining moisture, if so then braids may be a dehydrating and damaging style choice. I personally don't believe clay is an adequate cleanser for my hair and the stylists I follow don't recommend clay for proper cleansing.

What’s the difference between a base and topper gel? I can’t seem to find the answer
Base gels are typically botanical, which means they have humectant rich ingredients like marshmallow root or agave that help the hair retain moisture and possibly attract moisture from the atmosphere. Topper gels typically have some sort of antihumectant property to further fix the hair in place and in a sense seal in the more humectant rich base. But things can get tricky, there are some gels that contain humectants but aren't typically used as base gels due to their antihumectant properties. It seems like not many of the products used in the detox or in the black girl curls are black owned. That would be something for me to get past. I know that’s not the fault of the “founders” of black girl curls, but it is difficult for me.
I think they recommend a good bit of black owned companies, (Trepadora, Curl Junkie, Curl Mix, The Doux, Uncle Funky's Daughter, and Tre Luxe). I hope that as things get better black owned companies can do better in supplying higher quality products that consumers can purchase in liters and save money. I know of some black owned companies that sale liters but for me I find their formulations to be problematic.
In addition to the black owned companies that Fo pointed out, they also mention some of Camille Rose Naturals, TGIN, Miellé Organics, Soultanicals, Obia and Oyin Handmade products in the Wash Your Damn Hair E-Book, Chapter 5.

@@sphanksjohns the book is currently not available. They are revising it. Also, Sonya is so right about their recommendations, but I'm not sure if they would currently recommend products from those brands.

Why do you say that higher quality products are not available for black people? Are you saying because it’s not accessible due to DISTANCE? Or do you mean because of the price point? I don’t really like that statement. I think ALL people spend their money on what they WANT to.
Exact quote: "Higher quality products are not accessible to a lot of black people." Please refrain from misrepresenting my statements because it can do a disservice to other viewers. Black people are all over the world so because of their location higher quality products may be inaccessible and in terms of price point for some black people due to global racism and other forms of inequality they are not able to invest in their hair care in the way they would like to. You don't have to like the statement but I work to have a more global and non-classist perspective on my channel. Those of us that have the money to invest in higher quality hair care is a different conversation than those that are being robbed of basic living necessities. All of this will be addressed in my upcoming video Friday.

@@uberhaute_naturalz84 😲 are there any other botanical gels available. I'm not sure how much the Tasalahq products cost but it appears she has a botanical gel in her collection. I also don't know the performance of her product though. And if this is not an option because the jar aren't very large I wonder what is available there. When I finally make it there I will be snooping around to see what is available.
