Larry David it’s always strangely constrained with Conan. He told once that he think Conan it’s too much smart to be with, and I think in some way, he’s intimidated by Conan wittiness. Pretty, pretty, interesting.

The interesting thing is that Larry David being a really intelligent person it's overwhelmed by, I don't know if this is the right description, Conan's intellectual status? Because they have a great chemistry but I think Larry feels overwhelmed with Conan in some way. He's more habituated to listen people laughing at his observations but not generating dialogue and going deeper on them.

This is crazy because no one knew in the audience who this guy was and didn't understand his comedy. He was just some random writer during this. Conan said "good luck." I think he succeeded lol

They did not know him completely visually but we all had seen his name in the credits for many years and had seen him in interviews with him and Jerry. Slightly anonymous is more like it. Fans of the show knew that Larry David was the inspiration for George Costanza. When Larry left Seinfeld after season 7 it was news material widely printed.
