Larry always finds ways to write his real life experiences into his shows. A great example from this interview is when he tells a women that he’s an actor and she asks what he does and he doesn’t really have an answer is almost identical to the episode from season 11 when Don Jr. asks what the girl Larry is extorted to cast has done and he’s like “ehhh” 😂

Larry David is probably the most genuine, down to earth, truly personable person in Hollywood, ever. A lot of people act that way, they act that way because they want to be seen like they're very personable people however, this man's personality, his natural charm is so effortless, you can just tell. He is on another level, and at that age still more charismatic and has a larger personality than people that are 20 years old. 😎🎉🙏❤️

I saw many, many Seinfeld moments in this interview. Especially George's character seems to be based on Larry's persona. I like Jerry Seinfeldt as a comedian, but the older and grumpier I get the more I prefer Larry David's sarcasm, social awkwardness and brutal honesty (and I'm only in my thirties btw, my god where will this end?!). It's also interesting that he seems to be basically playing himself in Curb your Enthusiasm. The only difference is that fictional Larry has his social competence turned all the way down to zero. Anyways, this was a great interview. I genuinely enjoyed this!

I’ve caught him laughing like that on the later seasons of curb. It didn’t look natural the way the bottom of his mouth moves. My boyfriend and I are huuuuge curb fans and we love Larry but this always bugged me for some reason. I always zone in on it. I love him though!

I think it’s safe to say I’m 100% convinced that for curb Larry doesn’t read any of his lines exactly like they were on an episodes script/screenplay (which is ironic and convenient considering he himself is the one who’s writing most of them so the lines shouldn’t be to hard to memorize when you invented them lol) but instead he just reminds himself what the context of the conversation is going to be about, sort of remembers what he wrote as the dialogue, and then just completely riffs using improvisation, while also trying some takes using the exact lines he intended for the scene. But I can bet majority of the dialogue in every episode that make the final cut and get aired are the episodes with scenes that include more improv than without. (I think I read that most of this show is improv online somewhere)
