I saw many, many Seinfeld moments in this interview. Especially George's character seems to be based on Larry's persona. I like Jerry Seinfeldt as a comedian, but the older and grumpier I get the more I prefer Larry David's sarcasm, social awkwardness and brutal honesty (and I'm only in my thirties btw, my god where will this end?!).
It's also interesting that he seems to be basically playing himself in Curb your Enthusiasm. The only difference is that fictional Larry has his social competence turned all the way down to zero.

LARRY: WHAT A FANTASTIC IDEA! MAYBE I WILL!
JERRY: OK! I can’t wait I’m so excited to see how miserable you become after the first table read.
LARRY: I’m already always miserable so if that’s what you’re looking forward to you’re going to be greatly disappointed. But just watch how I create another show just as good if not better than the one we created that you starred in. And it’s only going to be better because it’ll be starring me!

Larry is the best. He knows he’s a curmudgeon - and he knows that we know he is a curmudgeon . James does a great job holding back and just give Larry too to riff. Great guest.

Real life and his art have melded together. Is this a real interview, or is it a trailer from the new series? (I jest, just making a point). My wife and I just binge watched series 1 to 10. When we got to the last episode in series 10, guess what we did? Yep, started again. We love you Larry.

I’ve caught him laughing like that on the later seasons of curb. It didn’t look natural the way the bottom of his mouth moves. My boyfriend and I are huuuuge curb fans and we love Larry but this always bugged me for some reason. I always zone in on it. I love him though!

Another interview of Larry acting just like the Larry we all know and love on curb. I think it’s safe to say I’m 100% convinced that for curb Larry doesn’t read any of his lines exactly like they were on an episodes script/screenplay (which is ironic and convenient considering he himself is the one who’s writing most of them so the lines shouldn’t be to hard to memorize when you invented them lol) but instead he just reminds himself what the context of the conversation is going to be about, sort of remembers what he wrote as the dialogue, and then just completely riffs using improvisation, while also trying some takes using the exact lines he intended for the scene. But I can bet majority of the dialogue in every episode that make the final cut and get aired are the episodes with scenes that include more improv than without.
(I think I read that most of this show is improv online somewhere)
