Larry David on the last season of 'Curb' and why he's not retiring
#LarryDavid #CurbYourEnthusiam #SusieEssman
Really, Susie Essman is the best -- no one can erupt in anger as well as she can.
her reactions are hilarious! she's the perfect sparring partner for Larry.
You should meet my ex wife - wow, she would put Susie to shame
@@charlesdehavilland2437 Impressive. Really.
Why Larry loves her so much
She was hilarious in the Doll episode.
Larry David is hands down the absolute comedy genius of our time. 🏆
Thank you.
I agree because you need a full understanding of contemporary angst and "correct" social behavior to hold us up to the mirror collectively when we cross the line and become ridiculous.. Larry does that on every episode.
Why is he so nasty?
@@zapkvr It's just his schtick. He's the "nasty" inside all of us, but he lets his out and always pays the price for it.
Mate stop using that word too much
Seeing Susie be complimentary to Larry just feels wrong
😂😂😂
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one!
Right…she should be cussing him out and screaming at him to get TF out😂
Larry should've took her home tour. 😂
Didn’t you Love when Viveca Fox told her off
The best
The combo of Larry, Susie and Jeff is just complete comedy gold
Who are these people? They didn't let Larry get a word in. They need to shut up!
And, more importantly, let Suzie speak. Was so rude of them to try to just dismiss her. She's the reason I clicked on this stupid thing.
They’re mainstream propaganda media - what do you expect? They’re so full of themselves, yet everyday they’re told what to say and not say. They’re disgraceful.
Yep, I turned it off when they all started talking at once. I have no idea why people think it takes 4 people to interview someone. Dumb producing. Interviews are best 1 on 1. Ask an intelligent question, NOT ("What's your favourite episode") and then shut up and listen without interrupting.
This happens a lot when comedians is being interviewed. Everyone tries to one up them.
JB Smoove is comedy genius as Leon Black. His character often has me rolling on the floor in laughter.
You have the names mixed up
@@johnrains2339 Thanks.
@johnw U got the names correct! J B. is my fave on the show too! Maybe the other commenter didn't watch when Larry's wife convinced him to take in a family affected by Katrina. The Black family added to the show. So glad Leon Black stayed! He's hilarious!
danny duberstein!
“Did you bring it?”
I loved what Ted Danson said a about Larry when someone asked him of Larry in real life is like Larry in the show. He said: "Larry in real life is exactly like he is in the show, except he has a heart of gold".
I feel like the Larry in the show does in a weird way though haha
Hosts who aren't funny shouldn't try to out-comedy the legend.
I kinda liked how they ripped into him though, and he seemed to enjoy it.
Exactly 😂 correct never...its socially unacceptable
Agreed
Larry is right, Joe should just shut up.
Brian Williams tried that too
LD is a national treasure . He’s the guy we all wish we could be .
Spirit animal
He is a national treasure ❤
Larry David, like Harvey Weinstein, is a disgrace for the Jewish nation
The central premise of "Curb" is that Larry constantly gets blamed for things that aren't his fault, but also gets away with reprehensible things. It's that space between wanting to be angry at him and feeling sorry for him that makes the show so unique and so good. We ALL walk that fine moral line.
I’m always most angry at everyone else in the show.
Well said.
"Just shut up, Joe" was spot on at 10:32.
No kidding! Joe seemed to have an agenda to take digs at Larry. Wth?
@@billfletcher7602he was trying to get a Curb moment but I guarantee Larry hates Joe. Remember, Scarborough is just a regular type Republican a-hole who helped pave the way for Trump…
Yea the guy was acting kind of weird and said some rude stuff.
Joe doesn't like not being the center of attention@@littleripper312
Yeh for real. It’s a good thing Susie was there.
I’m just glad that we were blessed with Larry David’s genius comedy, i’ve been a Seinfeld fan all my life and we will never have anything like it again. I mean because of him I respect wood now.😂
Susie is probably the funniest character for me. She always cracks me up
It’s amazing seeing lower level humans interact with high levels lol Susie knew Larry was annoyed the WHOLE time and was annoyed too but operated well. Beautiful
Yup!! I’m surprised Larry only told him to shut up. Joe was being so rude
Scarborough was kinda assholish at the beginning. A little too comfortable there, pal.
Typical country lawyer
Pretaaaay good
JB Smoove coming on full time changed the show. Leon and Larry discussion are some of the best scenes of the show
I'm from the UK and I love this show
A brilliant series ⭐️
+1 for Philip Baker Hall. I can't get enough of his library cop routine on Seinfeld or his work on Boogie Nights.
Equally- on a great film, by P.T. Anderson called "Hard 8" 👍👍👍
"Punks like you that break the law" to Seinfeld - didn't know he was in boogie nights gonna have to re-watch was so long ago
Susie is one of the best actress , it's very hard to do what she does for so many years, this show wouldn't have been so good without her
And she seems so sweet in real life to lol it's wild
Scarborough can’t get out of his own way
Love Curb and Larry and the whole cast! ❤
Greatest sitcom of the modern era ( last 25 yrs) The dolls head episode is a work of art.
Extras, The Larry Sanders Show, and the original British version of The Office definitely rival it for #1.....but its up there!
I’d throw arrested development in there but Curb is elite
I recently rewatched that episode 😂 what a great show
Favorite episode of mine of curb. “What are you itching your balls for”
Larry the legend, Curb a legendary show!
My fav show ever. RIP Bob Einstein and Richard Lewis ❤❤
JB Smoove really is amazing as Leon.
My biggest regret for this incredible show is that Norm Macdonald was never on it. He was absolutely the only genius on Larry's level.
Discovered that there is a Chat 'n Cut" situation in the film "Moscow on the Hudson" with Robin Williams, made many moons ago! It is at about 11 minutes in a real "bread line" in Moscow in the snow. The line was about 4 blocks long for toilet paper and shoes.Robin's character was not about to cut in, but a lady admonished him for chatting with an old friend who he was surprised to see.
There MUST be a Curb 13th Season, and 14th and 15th . . .
I'd settle for the occasional standalone episode whenever he thinks of new ideas for the show.
Leave them wanting
Everyone loves Larry. Nobody for Joe
Would love to have heard more from Larry & Susie. A ratio of 4 interviewers to 2 guests is not a good recipe.
These Larry interviews are gems!
Susie you are pretty pretty good too!
Legendary Series
Besides this very good interview, I watched Susie on Howie Mandel’s podcast recently. Her acting and comedy speaks for itself, but just wanted to comment how genuine and endearingly pleasant of a person she is, love to see it. Curb imo is the funniest show there will ever be.
Best 1st ep ever! Couldn't stop laughing.... Go go Larry! And plz...plz....don't make this the last season.... We all begging you....
JB's name should be "JB Smooth" :) Great show, can't wait for it.
Larry David is a Human Bobblehead 😂 and the funniest dude on the planet.
I’m gonna miss curb!
Everyone has a Larry David in them.
👀
Hey-o!
Phillip Baker Hall also played the library book detective on Seinfeld.
Bookman
Susie Essman appeared on the late show with Colbert and she was on maybe 5 minutes and Colbert to end the interview thanked her and true to form said “What THATS IT!”. Priceless
JB and Larry are by far the best combo on that show. The Wheelchair Wendy, when Leon asked Larry did he do the dizzle on her. How Leon would have handled it 💀 so many good lines between those two!
Joe is hard to watch in general. Usually talking over Mika. I love everyone else. Especially Larry and Susie. Joe could be better.
I don't think he can be.Countless people have made comments about him talking over Mika.
Love Larry and Susie and Jeff so much
Awesome!
Pretty good.
Susie Essman & J. B. Smoove (Leon) representing "Money Earnin Mt Vernon" NY
One of the greatest shows ever!!!
Love Leon!
Best season ever. The best Jerry
Combination of Reality, and Insanity, makes, the Show.
Wonderful!
Funny Joe says should be a campaign shirt, I still have my hoodie "Larry David for President...
because he'd be pretty pretty good"
Larry's lawyer really handled that cross exam well!
Plan a new show in a nursing home . We seniors would love it.
This is the one and only reason to watch this station. All done.
Crazy funny 😁 I loved that show. I could watch “Curb Your Enthusiasm” any time.
Love Larry David and his cast!! Love his personality, behaviour, and fun guy ❤️💕 Wouldn’t miss a show, it's quite funny 🫶🫶🫶🤗🥰
I love my man Larry giving Leon his motherfckin flowers 😀😀
Larry's laugh is funny and he's iconic so as the cast wish them all well the best in their future.
Please continue the show please
Season 12, Episode 5 I never cracked up so HARD! Counseling session, you know what I'm talking about. Felt so good. Thank you two.
I was on the plane the other day, and I watched a couple of episodes of the last season that they did prior to this and it was hysterical. She😂 cracks me up.
I hope there wasn't a guy next to you wearing shorts 😆
Did they serve you a hot towel with tongs that burnt your hands?
Mel Brooks USED to be the funniest man in show biz. But for the past 20 years it's been Larry David.
Their relationship on the show is easily my favorite. Love how quick they argue with each other 😂😂
Finally we can see a nice 360 view of the studio from Larry's head.
This seems like one of the most natural and chilled out Larry interviews ever
Love it!!!!!! MORE PLEASE MORE
Essman is a friggin genius.
12 season of Curb and 30th year of Larry being 67.
Larry needs to do a podcast
Watched to hear Larry talk. Nevermind
Everything is touchis Larry, he makes it amazing. Greatest comedian ever. 😍
They seemed very rude to Larry and they should apologize.
Whenever I see Larry irl it's always like he's in character. He really just be playing himself in the show
Why was this so antagonistic?
It's like having tea with your grandparents who are just so proud.
that was sweet, his praise for JB
We could all act like Larry if we were multimillionaires
Love you Larry💋
Such a big fan of Curb so many great relatable scenes
Has Curb not done one about people who use "the journey" because they think it makes regular things profound?
Curb’s easily my fave TV comedy of all time be it network, streaming, or cable. Just have to add imo Super Dave Osborne/Marty Funkhouser/Bob Einstein in any scene with LD was platinum/gold master of the universe hilarity of the deepest, unrelentingly comedic kind. Tragic he, Richard, and Philip Baker Hall passed before the series did. Such great foils for Larry and each one irreplaceable. Susie deserves all the accolades there are for her work on Curb. Absolutely as good as it gets. Just my opinion but I think the two of them are now almost extensions of one another. They’ll be best buds for eternity.
I don’t believe that Larry David will retire the show. He’ll bring it back in about five years.
I doubt it this time. I’d still watch but he’d unfortunately have to do without Richard Lewis next time.. RIP.
These two on screen together has been comedy gold ...
Larry hasn’t aged at all.
I love Larry and Susie!!!
I absolutely can't stand Joe Scarborough
Larry david is a comedy genius genius - uk fan .on season 11
The best part of the show is when they’re real time laughing at what the other person has just said, when they’re slightly caught off guard.
This Joe guy was an AWFUL interviewer and it got very tense at the end.
Susie actually called him out on it for saying Larry was passive agressive.
They're personal friends, so that's always hard to translate on TV.
Just brilliant!
I love curb so much, but I’ve never seen this programme before and if anything it proves that four interviewers most certainly spoil the broth. What a mess, I’d have been so interested to hear what Larry and Susie say but they kept being interrupted by these clowns. One interviewer please.
I don't watch Joe. I watched the clip for Larry David and now I remember why I don't watch Joe. An old man asked Larry about assisted living. SMH.
Leon needs his own show.
There's an extra on one of the box set DVDs of Leon doing a neighborhood tour, and frankly it was not so funny. I think certain chemistries need to be together to fire, such as his and Larry's.
Larry David Genius in the making !! Where is Jeff?
This interview is actually great. All the other interviews ive seen this press round Larry is showcasing his alter ego from the show, but Larry just seems so comfortable in this interview, and of course Susie is great company as well.
I love the way he’s barely talking!
The best explanation is doing and saying the things that in real life you stop yourself from saying. And the exaggerating it
Nothing like it will ever be done again. Totally Agree!
I think the UK version is 'Peep Show' - both unique concepts and equally funny.
