I actually played that game a lot when I was young. Furthest I went is just at the door. Never actually remembered its name and it was just lost in my head. Finally, today, I found it and saw what the end of the game is like. Thank you.
I'll never forget that. During the summer holidays we played this game with the homies every day. The question came right up to the end boss: Well, your found you way here. Would you consider becoming my right-hand man? At that time we didn't understand English (only Swiss German and Albanian) and only understood "yes" or "no". A friend ordered us to put the joystick very slowly on the floor, so that we didn't press the wrong button. Unfortunately we assumed that "yes" would mean something positive and "no" something negative. So we chose "yes" and were catapulted back to the 6th level. That was a very depressed day, after all the hard fight to the final boss. I'm not going to mention those two clowns with the fireballs and the two ninja bitches.
Everyone's childhood game, I suppose 👍 From stage 1-6, players walk from left to right. Stage 7 in the elevator where we could throw the syndicates down. Stage 8, players walk from right to left. Original version is always the best and its background music - awesome 🌌
I remember playing this, and one time I got up to the end and I accidently said yes to the partnership, and I was so upset that I shut the game off :/ lol
Took me several years to get to the final boss as a kid, and when he asked me to join him, I said yes, and he booted me back to level six with a hidden compartment in the floor. I was soooo pissed off.
I had this on sega genesis and lost against the ninja twins this reminds me of my teen years Later on in life i found a emulator with infinite saves to save anywhere
On Normal level it’s easy to finish the game... It’s more difficult to finish the game on Hard level. In options, you can choose: Easy (for noobs players), normal (for standard players), Hard (for good players), Hardest (for very very good player)
Was having the same problem. Finally figured out the back attack (Punch + Jump) with Axel dominated them. Face away from them and if they walk at you, just hit them with it straight just before they get there. If they jump at you, take one step away and then hit them with the back attack. After burning through all my continues several times on them, this worked right away first try very easily.
I alwayz get a real Kick outta the Streets of Rage series...... I also the Golden Axe series as well..... But my number one favorite game is Alien Storm..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is a tough game to beat without a partner. I couldn't do it without cheats. There isn't enough continues once you hit level 8
On Normal mode, it’s not very difficult to finish the game, even alone... I finish every time the game, with 2 life remaining...

I always got to the final round but never got to reach the final boss was frustrating
