Streets of Rage 2 Playthrough (8/8): Final Boss & Ending

- It just wouldn't make sense if you didn't have to fight the old bosses again, right? Anyway, I get to fight Shiva and Mr. X. X fights in pretty much the same manner that he did in the original. In other words, he fights like a douchebag.

The music in this game is 🔥
True but fire just burned my house down cheers 😆😆
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot the account password. I love any help you can give me!
@Callum Aden Instablaster ;)
Bro… the boss battle music made me a try hard.
I’ve got my massive 1600W PA speakers wired through my crt. The soundtrack played on the original VA2 genesis is untouchable
"Mr. X, sir, we could use guns too. Sincerely, your henchmen."
BuddingHumanist not really
I know right. On part 3 the dudes with suits got guns.
Mr. X shot his henchmen, I checked they can get damaged by his bullets
Mr. X does not want them to accidentally shoot him
He met them halfway and gave them some bullets.
Still one of the most satisfying endings in a video game, you stop Mr. X, save Adam (and for all intents, he was the “leader” of the original trio considering Mr. X targeted him) and ride off into the sunset (or sunrise in this case)
... and the music..... tears
I am singing and humming these tunes for almost 3 decades now
The end theme is just a melodic wonder.
im with ya!!
As a kid, I used to nearly well up from that theme. Even now, the hair on my arms stands up when I hear it.
Best beat 'em up ever.
That we can agree on
Same here
IMO best game ever tbh
Yup tru
@@ruijoykong2036 yup tru
Games just don't have heart like this anymore. Just listen to that music man. You can feel this game while your playing it.
Streets of Rage 4... will revive this.
@@lnchan doubt it
@@davidkruse4030 How about now?
I don't miss my childhood because it wasn't that happy, but damn I'm so happy when I smell, watch or hear something old from those times
@@lnchan Well, they did it…in part. Not a bad game, but could have been closer to the originals.
Mr.X Is pretty much your standard mob boss: sharp suit, endless henchmen and a tommy gun.
I still remember my first time getting to this stage as a kid. There’s no real sign or warning that you’re at the final stage, just “STAGE 8 START” appearing on the screen… but you also hear the legendary intro track starting up and you immediately know what the fuck is going down. This realization as a kid nearly made my heart leap out of my chest but nowadays it hypes me up. Honestly cements this game as a masterpiece for me
Fck yeah. As a kid I prob had to pause the game or something there lol. Then you're bombarded with those annoying ass robots and R. Bear, then the elevator ride from hell. Just an epic level on all fronts.
The ending music with those photos just tears me
i remember my first time playing this..dude got up and started shooting..i was thinking oh shit! lol
How do you feel about part 4
Yuzo is back
You gotta love the henchmen names in this game.
Barbon, Y. Signal. lol
_sug q_
that end game music is classic!!
“Throughout the first years of our lives we were forced not just to internalize a few aspects of capital, but to build up a structure of internalizations. As our capacity for coherent natural self-regulation was systematically broken down, a new system of self regulation took its place, a coherent system, incorporating all the aspects of self-repression. We participated in capital’s ongoing project of colonization by colonizing ourselves, by continually working at the construction of a unitary character-structure (character armor), a unitary defense against all drives, feelings, and desires which we learned were dangerous to express. In the place of our original transparent relations to our world, we created a structure of barriers to our selfexpression which hides us from ourselves and others.”Jay Amrod and Lev Chernyi, “Beyond Character and Morality: Towards Transparent Communications and Coherent Organization.” Howard J. Just IMHO.
That music is sooooooo Genesis!
And the first time u see Shiva jumping at you in the beginning of the fight, u know shit is about to get down!
Anyone else think shiva was harder to fight then mr x? I definitely did.
Chris Jackson : Me either. For me, he should be the real final boss. It's because Shiva only use fist and kick, while Mr. X uses Chicago Typewriter. He also doesn't use his subordinates while Mr. X does.
Shiva definitely punked me and my friends when we got to him. That music came on and we was like ..ooooh snap!! Lost most our lives in that fight.. then destroyed Mr. X
Mr.X is WAAAAAY easier than Shiva.
Not really if you spam punch he keeps running into it
Mr.X may have been a badass if he didnt sit in his chair getting old and fat cuz you cant be week and run a major crime ring
Ow!!! That intro music is here as well. Feeling nostalgic. Remembered when I played SOR2 Boss stage & realised that the intro music of SOR1 was brought here.
Jesus! I’ve never paid attention but Mr. X is built like a tank! Give him Abadede’s brute force with Shiva’s style and he’d be ruling the country with his twins. 😳😳😳
Greatest soundtrack EVER!!!!!
Is Shiva theme better than reptile theme in mortal kombat
I hope they make a movie off this one day! the music makes me think of a trailer for it.
Dark ominous music, birds eye cam over a major city with sky scrapers, street fires, and oddly no vehicle or pedestrian traffic. Cut to various clips of CCTV camera footage showing horrific crime rampant through the streets and a failed democracy.
Audio from various horrific crimes in progress from police dispatchers and 911 callers. Interrupted by cut audio from police radio chatter (officer down, 999, I repeat I need help) major news networks broadcasting the increase in poverty and crime.
Introduce Axel monologue, “there’s no Order, only chaos”…
Then dramatic flashes of fight scenes with Axel, Adam, Blaze and various Bosses. Glimpse of a car chase scene, mass shootings, one of the hero’s lying beaten to a bloody pulp.
Music climaxes into a sudden black screen…Then Audio from shiva to Mr. X followed by Mr. X emerging from shadow holding a rifle with a sinister grin.
STREETS OF RAGE
Movie is coming, same director of John Wick
Thanks so much for uploading:) I remember this from when I was like 10!
Boy , these beats along with sonic go too hard to this day!! Them 90s were special
I objectively know that Axel is saying Bare Knuckle when he executes that upper cut move, but I can't ever hear anything else but "grab the paw".
No way he's saying Bare Knuckle 😂😂😂😂 r u serious?
Always thought that too
@@netzy26 no hes actually saying "ground upper" yuzo koshiro cleared that up recently
I think it's more of "Tiger Paw". His signature karate move. I think remember that from the instruction insert that came along with the game.
I thought he was saying “we’re at the park” while doing his special move😭😭😭
Shiva has the pure class, he deserves 4 stars!
In first version you must just save the city and in this second version you must save both of your people and your precious friend. Believe me this game teaches us humanity ❤️❤️❤️GREETING FROM IRAN
Axel would be such a badass movie character. They need to remake this game
Fighting Force Was Somewhat Like It
There is a fan made remake
Not to mention 4 is coming out soon
They did.
@@M198i heard of this from the history review
This was one of the greatest games ever idk why they never brought it back out in new age
You probably already know by now, but Streets of Rage 4 is on the Nintendo Switch. It's a great comeback for the title
I remember my hands beung so sweaty and pure anxiety trying not to lose. This was before memory cards
who made these games is a legend ! Salute !
Almost 10,000 views. Congrats. In the ending, the sun is at the front but they're lit at the back.
I always needed my dad help to get up to the top floor
Awesome soundtrack..sounds like a final stage should
No 'commentary'. THANK YOU!!
I had Game Over at the final boss when he had very small health left :(
That hurts
Whoever is playing this is very patient and plays defensively. When im playing i have an attack pattern. I play aggressively and offensively. I have 0 patience.
The music 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Coming back to thins after Bare Knuckle 4. The Nostalgia
"REST GRANDPAAA!"
Does sound like he saying that
That ninja paw upper cut was clutch
what a amazing game truly stunning
I love the beginning of the song. Some shit getting ready to go down.
Oh man that cut to silence as Mr X stands up
love that ending song
love the ending theme
i can't remember how many times i did beat the game each time with a different char in all difficulties while i was young i always did not had enough....my mums mum brother(RIP) loved watching the gameplay...for him it was like he was watching a movie lol...
so much time i wasted playing these games.....oh how i loved the streets of rage series growing up as a kid....one of the reasons i wish i had a time machine
First I would like to say the Music ... OMFG .... I've never listened to it with headphones until now... Very Nice! Second, I would like to say it is so much more fun watching other people beat this game than me trying myself LOL Last of all, After watching some Streets of Rage 3 Videos, I have to admit I like Streets of Rage 2 The Best !
2:33 - didn’t know music could slap twice 😎
This one of the greatest games I have ever played I have completed it a couple of times
So...Mr. X got beat up in the first game when the characters did not have super moves. Now they do and he still comes back with the same gun? Maybe this is why his body fails him this time around.
I remembered my dad had streets of rage 2 back in the 90s on sega genesis when I was a kid he and my stepbrother would play 2 players all the time and i would always watched them play all the time i missed the 90s as a kid now im an adult still playing streets of rage myself
nice one Nova
epic theme of the first streets of rage :)
I’m here because I heard the end song on a freakin Whang! Video a week ago and haven’t been able to get it out of my head since! I was unsure if it was this or street fighter but after watching a couple street fighter endings I knew it was streets o ragè
DAMN YOU WHANG!…… oh that’s why he writes it like that with the !
His animation is alot spiffier though. Mr X I mean. I espeacially like his laugh animation after he knocks you down.
Shiva is just awesome. ^^
That Green Bear Jr. was harder to fight than Shiva or Mr. X LMAO.
Everyone in the game once you get to Mr. X: Hold up, we could’ve brought guns?! Why the fuck are we messing around with punching then??
That throw recovery. Is cool - I don't know how to do that.
Gotta play this game at Mania level
Casi lloro 😢siempre me acuerdo de este juego cuando lo jugaba asta con mi mama ❤
A dope classic video game 🎮
🔥💪Grand Upper!!!
Anybody here remember the secret code to play as Shiva? Loved his move where you can hold an enemy down, and just whail on him until he's dead. Not sure it was either on SoR2 or SoR3. Been a long time.
the music in this stage was also the intro music from the first game
I'm having flashbacks!
I like this music❤
Mr. X always had quite the bankroll and health insurance policy for his team of bad guys.
tall bad guy, armed with a thompson machine gun, evil laugh, bunch of minions, right hand before the battle, badass theme, legendary final boss
That’s Mr. X
I love the music
🐐 🐐
That's because he is shooting them, its like a desperation move, he is trying to hit you at all costs (even if it means killing his own men).
Adam just randomly lock up…in the basement
happy 14th year to this video
When you are super pissed
oh i also forgot you need to try this in Mania difficulty setting, that's the setting i love playing in but you do have to enter a controller code.
Shit was about to get real when I first reached this level.
Here for nostalgia. SoR4!!!
The ending theme is just basically The Jackson Five’s I’ll Be There, right?
I reached mr. X with a quarter of my last health bar.
FML
It's fun to experiment with different characters against shiva and mr x in sor4
like the way they call for "reinforcements" a cop with a bazooka or a gattling gun
Epic Soundtrack! ****ULTIMATE BRAWL MUSIC****
05:26 what I came for
The game was soo old but i love it
1:50 how did you do that before hitting the ground?
I remember getting pissed because I hit the final boss off screen and couldnt see his last animation proper.
Did the whole world play this game during their childhood? Amazing that this Japanese game is so popular 👏
Love streets of rage
It's actually 'GRAND UPPAH!'
I need a streets of rage anime. How did they beat mr x while hes holding and using a tommy gun. I need to know
In my opinion, the bullet shot should’ve took way more from the players life bar…like at least 3/4 I would say. After all, its bullets and bullets do kill to kind of think of it. And it would’ve been a true final boss fight.
Mr. X's bullets do less damage than Shiva's final crash lmao
Rubber bullets
Anyone notice that "Nail" was wearing a headband like Naruto and ran like him?
Mr. X is a good guy
8:56 Look at how small Skate looks, riding piggyback on Adam! Did that kid really just beat up people? 😁
I honestly wonder if they accidentally put R. Bear as the first of the boss rush instead of Barbon lol
😭😭😭😭😭 90s please come back
how do you do that uppercut move? I sometimes do it randomly & I don't even know how.
Colling Smith : Press the right or left button twice and then press a to punch.
Yeremia Patuan Thanks
Colling Smith : You're welcome, brother. By the way, do you still play this game?
Yeremia Patuan I played it occasionally on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection.
Colling Smith : Wow, that's cool. I play it on Fusion 364 Emulator. By the way, who is your favorite character?
Why do the names say "Shout OW!" and stuff in the credits? I'm assuming it's either helping how you're supposed to pronounce the Japanese names, or a joke.
I will always remember my first encounter with shiva. Wtf is th… we gotta fight him don’t we?
Guns blazing
AAAHH!!
GRAND UPPER!!
WAAA!! (Z Kusano)
This game is more real than PS5 never gets old impossible 😂
So, Mr X is basically the "Belgar" of the Streets of Rage series?
