- I have been wanting to do a carnival photoshoot for 3 years now and FINALLY got to do it! Did all the styling myself and retouched/edited all the photos. I put some before and afters in there because I know some of you like seeing them :)

Nice shoot, what about the pictures with the purple wig? I wonder how those turned out.
Tried that wig in the beginning and didn't think it fit with the rest of the clothes :( So I had her change it!!

Your retouching skills are awesome, but the edits were very much underpar for these shots. It just looked like you chucked a stock filter over them.
Plus the DoF didn't look that great in some shots if you were shooting at 1.2

Jessica, loving your work. Quick question, do you find yourself metering with spot meter off the cheek of the model (exposing for the shadows). If not, where abouts do you find yourself metering and in which mode primarily? Additionally, I assume since the models are often static (not a moving object), you use single point AF? Thanks so much!

1.2 makes rest all blurring except the local point. how do you make sure the whole model is sharp? thank u Jessica
