Wooooooow! What more can I say. Great photos.
I wish you have went to more basic details like where and how to focus and how many frames should you take , best iso, shutter etc
If you're asking about what camera settings to use, you may want to watch more videos on fundamentals first. Without these essentials being second nature to you, like an extension of your hand, it'll be hard to concentrate on directing the scene in front of you, especially in such a hectic setting. Since you asked, though: he already said to shoot with the longest focal length and widest aperture you can (e.g. 200mm at f/2.8). To freeze fast action you'll want something no slower than 1/2000 shutter speed. Use whatever ISO you need for proper exposure, ideally 100 or as close to 100 as you can to minimize noise. Since the ballerina was posing at a pre-determined spot on the manhole cover, and the photographer knew exactly which point he would be shooting from for the elements in the frame to line up as desired, the best way to go is to use manual focus, with a focus lock if possible so you don't change it on accident. If the ballerina's location was not predetermined, you'd want to be in continuous autofocus mode with subject lock (what this is called or what setting will achieve this best will depend on your camera.) Since you want to choose the millisecond at which the leg is highest, you want to be using the highest possible burst rate (ideally on a professional sports camera like the Sony a9, made specifically for high burst rate; if not, anything with at least 8 or 10fps). Start shooting as the dancer is approaching the desired position, and pray that one of the photos in the burst captured it. Repeat as many times as needed until you get the perfectly timed shot. Good luck!
I actually said WOW out loud when you took that very first shot between those two manhole covers and revealed the final edit! Thanks for sharing this because I have my very first dancers photoshoot tonight and all day tomorrow with a local dance school!! You gained a sub from me bud!
Amazing photography takes amazing choreography even when composing your shots! Beautiful work.
You guys made me little anxious, the end result is absolutely spectacular!!! Well done.
Thumbs up for inspirational photographer and dedicated ballerina :D
It’s crazy and I loveeee it 💖✨
Not as risky as shooting onto train rails, but I would wear a bright coloured vest when on my knees for 20 seconds on the road.
but it was the day time soo
Just phenomenal!
Just a question, can I take a video instead of a snap and then extract the frame later?
Very good video showing a kind of photography that not many people would get to do. Thanks for showing. You gotta be quite brave to do this but the results are great.
I love Jordan Matter's craziness
This is ABSOLUTELY CRAZY and I LOVE IT!!! 🤪🔨
Just wondering do you do any other sport photos (like cheer or gymnastics)
But that is from Jordan Matter. It's only repost.

Hi, great video. Where do you actually post pictures for them to have a chance to go viral when you are not a world renowned photographer ?
Thank you so much:) ❤️ your vids!
I just admire your work😍😻😻💓👍
OMG I'm a dancer too, so I understand the pain of running with those ballet shoes on ahah
CLASS
Woww amazing 👏
I am wondering why you would use f2.8 or 4, if they are not moving that is fine if they are doing movement faster shutter can freeze the motion but wouldn't f5 to f8 would get more of person sharper
Can you help explain this 😂 I'm not very good at photography just a beginner thank you
Please tell some about the camera techniques you use ? ISO, shutterspeed ... ?
Jan Laugesen The camera he has is the Nikon D5. In this video he uses a 70-200mm 2.8 but in other videos he uses a 50mm, 85mm, 24-70mm. He says that depending on the situation the correct opening is between F / 2.8 and 4. And the shutter speed I have no idea, maybe 1/1000 or more but with burst mode. And the ISO in normal light conditions is surely 100. The focus mode should have it in "continuous focus"
If one is going to attempt this type of photography one should already be very proficient with a camera!
Tysm for this! Me and my friends might try this!
amazing!!!!
I love dance
Are you using thinktank airport luggage?
It would be more helpful if camera settings were included--ISO, metering, etc.
Danton McDiffett At minute 4:42 you can see the shutter speed on his camera which is 1/650. He use burst mode "continuos high", The aperture 2.8 or 4, the iso I do not know is depend of the light situation & focus mode Surely it's AF-C
@@GustavoAdrian26 Thanks, and I noticed those. But no information on metering, ISO, focusing mode (thought I'm with you on thinking it's probably Continuous).
Did you use aperture priority?
Awesome tips!

how can follow this beautiful ballerina on ins?
Guys, absolutely no photo worth putting anybody in the shooting production at risk. Be creative, bold and brave artistically, no physically.
He’s Sting!
i loved this up until number 5 . to get a great shot does not require u to risk ur life , taking risk new ideas yes but not with u or the models saftey . just because a shot is dangerous or u almost died taking it doesnt make the shot creative or amazing .
My hips hurt when she does that.
at the end i could see her on her tip toes
Te Pareces al chucki 😋😂😂😂😂

Get a ticket for the arts or get slam by a car. I hope your insurance is sufficient
What ever happened to "people don't try this at home"??? This is really irresponsible. Please think before you post.....
David Robot 😑😑😑😑😑
Everyone dies at on point
David Robot if it were safe it wouldn’t go viral
