Nervous? I would be angry with so many rude people! This park has hundreds of square feet of area, but it seems the people just want to walk between the camera and the model!

That was quite a change seeing you work up close to the model with a short lens but the result is beautiful as always. The bright colours and lights of the fair made some lovely Bokah.

As usual Irene wonderful video. The Stampede was packed again this year. We had a tripod for the fireworks on the grounds and so many people said "Take My Picture". People are always in a great mood during Stampede.

Beautiful photos. Love the colour! Interesting to see the colour differences between the images shot with the Canon and those shot with the Sony.
The colors you see are not a good representation of brands, as they are edited.

Absolutely stunning, I'm from Calgary too! I feel like I've seen you before at some of the locations you shoot at like Confederation Park and Bow Valley Ranche. I avoided the Stampede like the plague this year haha but you did an amazing job in such a crowded location!

Interesting choice of focal length! I’d have expected a 35mm considering the environment. They came out great! I’m going to have to try this out and just be different.

Your friend Carlos really like warm tones, doesn't he? :-) But in direct comparison your edits looks way more natural and this fits much better to the mood of the funfair. Would love to see a comparison when you 2 are using the same settings and same edit.

Can I ask, are you using Auto focus or are you manually focusing these shots? Also curious what metering you use in situations like this (spot or centre weighted etc)?
And most of all thank you for sharing you knowledge, it is very inspiring.

How could you quickly change settings to stay on right exposure?? Is it experience??
When i do it i lose my focus to get model poses also lose focus to other things and this make me nervous and not creative 🤔🤔
Switch to continuous focus and maybe play with the Aperture Priority setting rather than full manual to get the hang of it
Love what you always seem to accomplish with natural light..and always nice to see alot of yourself in the vids...do you shoot single shots mostly or "burst" ? Isn't it difficult to get good focus when u r always at small fstop?
i usually shoot single shots, but in a situation like this, where i had a lot of people walking in and out of frame, i was taking a LOT of pictures haha

great video, by the way if crowds are a problem, make them an interesting part of the photo, ie: do long exposure shots, this makes the moving parts blur, like water on a river, so they are not a distraction to the model + background, but a usefull element to separate the two.
like the photos of Drew on large format, use the bokeh to advantage!
How do you find a model!? And how much should you pay them. I do studio photo shoots and get payed and I have done out door photography with friends being models but I’m not sure how to find actual models and if you pay them or they pay you? Someone please help me
