The overdrive on a petrol engine gives you more efficiency because the lower rpm of the engine means more air and fuel is injected for each rev. This raises the pressure ratio in the engine and it’s that which raises efficiency. The electric motor has no comparable efficiency effect / benefit of an overdrive. I like your simple videos.
I have a MY 2019 version and I love it. The biggest issue is that they didn't deliver on the promise of Over the Air updates. They could have resolved small things such as bugs, and introduced new things such as a Car Wash Mode and wireless Android Auto.
I allready had 2 over the air updates and one solved my radio problem. But updates are rare. But a Jaguar has to be a drivers car and not a computer on wheels so i don't mind about the gimmicks.

Not sure why I would trade for a new one if only plus is a better privipro system. jLR is a joke currently when it comes to ev's not to mention usa dealers hate electric vehicles and never have on a lot
Ich besitze einen i pace seit April 2021. Das Fahrzeug ist optisch schön, Leistung toll, Reichweite okay und die Qualität der " Hardware " sehr gut. Softwaretechnisch ist das Auto eine Katastrophe. Ständig nicht vorhandene Fehlermeldungen. Ausfall von Assistenzsystemen, das Navi funktioniert nicht, vortemperieren zu Abfahrt geht nicht, Info- Text auf Hindu und jetzt einen Tag keinerlei Infotainment. Ich werde mich versuchen von dieser Bastelbude zu trennen.
Das ist das erste mal das ich von solchen Problemen höre. Hat dein I Pace schon den neuen Computer? Die alten Modelle sind zwar nicht so schnell, gelten aber als problemlos.

The faster a electric motor runs, the more energy it needs. An overdrive could save a few miles at least.
