Thank you for taking the time to leave info on this vehicle. I have been shopping. And I to say Jaguar has done it. I'm really excited to purchase a I-Pace EV.
Glad to hear that you would stay with the I-Pace. I've had mine a year and agree completely. My son has a Model 3 and I hate driving it but absolutely love driving my Jaguar. Tschüss.
Congrats! After 3 years, are there any options you are missing and would add from the beginning? Hope Jaguar stays in the business and offers such nice cars in the future
Without aircondition it should be the true range. But i usually drive in the City and country roads and rarely on the motorway so the range is plausible. And here is to much traffic to drive fast.
Did Jaguar make you an offer to extend warranty? I will have my second inspection that is included with Jaguar Care this month and I am wondering is it worth to opt-in for an additional two or three years or not. So the battery has a warranty for 7 years but what if they say: battery is fine, it‘s due to another failure which is not covered?
The 5 year warranty is only for new Jags. Ss far as i know the battery has a 8 year warranty or 100000 miles or 160000 km. In that time or range the battery capacaty has to stay over 70 %. If the battery would lose more than 30 % of capacaty in that time it's a warranty case. But you can see it by yourself when the range will be much lower than usual. I plan to keep my I Pace for minimum the next 10 years and i don't expect any problems. The worst case is when the break discs rust away. ;)
@@gerradwalker346 i bought my I Pace new. The I Pace didn't change so far. There is only a bit of an evolution about the bordcomuter and one or two gimmicks. The car is still great but newer EV's can charge faster. And there have been 4 I Pace burning themself. I know in 2 cases it was while charging in the garage. That's why i wouldn't recomend a I Pace at the moment until it's clear why the cars burned. But the I Pace is one of the rare electric drivers cars and i wouldn't want something else.
@@evilelectrician8903 ok would you wait for 25' version or should I just get the 23' version? I really want this as my 1st electric ⚡ Cars. I have been looking & all over this car for a long time now lol.
Over a year it's 20 kw/h per 100 km. In winter it's more in summer it's less. But usually i just drive on city and country roads and rarely over the motorway.
Firstly , many thanks for your assistance on dead battery. I should really do my own You Tube Channel on my 3 year experience, its certainly been an adventure! But I digress,,, ,,presently I have a Fault on Dash that says Soft Brake pedal , drive with caution ! So I call Assistance , they say OOPS you have driven from Spain to Scotland in an I-Pace ??? So , of course assistance doesn't work, the button will not work, ok fair enough,,, its only 2023 isn't it. So on the phone UK Jaguar (AA) assistance directs me to European AA Assistance, (AA is not Alcoholics Anonymous, although this bloody car would drive anyone to drink ;-) ) They direct me to AA Spain,, this call costs me 30 euros, and they do not pick up, I just get that lovely music and lots of messages about how they care about me, and I am so special, and it will be recorded for ??? Anyway 30 Euros later I give up. So I am on my own by the looks of it, and I am now asking your advice on what to do about this alarm. Meanwhile I bit the bullet , and phoned around trying to get the Car looked at by Jaguar UK. Well thats, an hour of my life I will not get back, and the earliest inspection I can get is 5 weeks time. So they said drive it, until the light goes from Amber warning to Red warning, then stop the car! Ironic really stop the car, when you have No brakes,,, but that's life with the Jag. ;-) So what to do ?? I know this is all on me, and you would never endanger me by giving me advice about the cars braking system, and perhaps I shouldn't really drive it at all, but we live in the real world,, so I am just looking for pointers and any history on the subject... Many many thanks from 2 tonnes of car, with perhaps no mechanical brakes, but great REGEN !!
Sounds interesting. Soft brake pedal, never had that warning and i don't know anyone who had. If there is air in the brake fluid it can reduce the brake power that's why the brake fluid usually gets changed every 2 years. So that would be the first thing i would do, change the brake fluid. And for that you don't need a Jaguar dealership. A average service shop should be good enough .
@@evilelectrician8903 Many Thanks , I did my own version of logic, trying to force the Jag to charge the small auxiliary battery. So started car, put on every load I could think of. Full AC electric seats etc etc full lights,, sat for 5 minutes like an idiot. Then switched car off, Plugged in Charger , normal 240v Jag Charger. Came back 30 minute's later. Stopped charger , unplugged just to make sure, then started car. Alarm Gone. BUT after 2 short drives the Amber alarm was back. But then it went out again,,,, ! So I am thinking its electrical, and not the brake fluid,,, but as you say, brake fluid, is easy job, why not ? Otherwise digging out, and replacing the small battery is the next step. Such a pain as the bloody car is one huge stored electrical system, but they need batteries, instead of capacitors as back up....mmm anyway thanks again for your assistance, as of yet, NO call back from Jaguar dealers after promises, or any contact from the dealer I bought the car from, or the hopeless Jaguar Assistance.. They joys of being an early adopter.... Ta
I just do not see why the I-pace costs so much. Where is the value - not in the badge (the history of bad reliability with any car with that badge would only lower the value). So where is the value? Why pay 50% more for the Jaguar than its competitors? I really am looking for reasons to buy one but I just cannot see any.
It just depends on the expensive options and how you compare the cars. A BMW X6 or X5 with a 400 hp traktor engine was more expensive, heavyer and accelerates slower than my I Pace S. More important for me: driving the I Pace feels exactly how i want it to feel. Power speed and steering is great and there are no anoying savety toys that i can't shut off or ruin my fun. The Porsche Taycan is the only better drivers car at the moment and maybe the E-Tron GT but they are more expensive. At the moment i don't see a cheaper EV on the market with the qualitys of the I Pace. But, of course, that's just my point of view.(;

Love the 18 inch spoke wheels. Classy. Plus better ride quality here in the Midwest, better range and cheaper replacement cost tires.

So far, very happy with mine, no problems at all.
I agree. I would buy my First Edition again. The ONLY ev car I may switch too is the Hummer EV but I would need to see it operational first.
You have rust on the brake discs because the brake pads are too small. However, the tyres look to be 'high' profile - very odd looking.
I also have to break more.... 😢

the range on yours appears in the end to be 448km. Is that the true range? Mine tops at 335km at 100%..
