thank you for the feed-back, I’m a prospective buyer for a 2nd hand i-Pace in Switzerland. I’m also on a Facebook owner group and since often people write about the problems they have it probably gives a biased view of the reliability of the car - hearing about your experience is reassuring
@@MariosTakoushis it’s just called Jaguar I-Pace Discussion Group. That being I recently posted and among the replies there were a number of people which also experienced a nice reliability. I’m actually about to buy a First Edition from January 2019 with 58’000 km for 36% of the price when new. I first went to test the sound system on Monday and Saturday I borrow it for 1h30 to show it to the family and the view is to close the transaction the following week :=)
Mine 4 years old. 50tkm here in Germany. Two times problem with the small 12V "motor bike battery" which is responsible for the brake support. At the 2nd time, the BMS of the small battery has been exchanged. You can analyse the driving battery with Wattcat. 8% loss, this is OK. Remote battery has been also exchanged by me. Its very easy. Driving since 2000 a lot of Jags. Still own a XF 3.0 AWD and a S-Type 3.0. Waiting for the new electric Jags in 2025.
The next electric Jag will come in 2024 as far as i know and 2 other models will come in 2025. I hope they still be cars instead of computers with wheels.
@@evilelectrician8903 A friend of mine got an Audi Q4 electric recently. He was very surprised about the screen of the navigation system. His new car was not showing the "estimated SOC on destination" - He said, "your car is 4 years old, mine is brand new." Finally he found this information also, but very very deep in the nav menues. He can not seen it while driving. He was really wondering how good is the user interface of the I-Pace. I think Jag will find a good solution. What I miss is the information how many charging stalls are currently free at the next charing point.
I am an I Pace owner since July 2019 too (80.000 km). Happy about my decision, still one of the most beautiful cars available. One blemish: The inner recycled "inlays" of the front wheel arches have lost their shape and exact mounting due to frozen slush in German Winter 2021. Unfortunately I have yet not found a cheap way ro repair them (replacement from scrap yard?), so the 'inlays" are hanging out of the wheel arch a little. Doesn"t look so nice in case you know about it.... I am interested in the key video too. I think my low battery is one of the reasons why the boot keeps not closing properly and sends a warning tone instead.
I hope your heater doesn't stop working. A common problem in the I-Pace. Just had mine replaced at a cost of £1,900. Also would not charge and that was fixed to. 2019 SE.
I had the same problem with the leaky window. Needed a new window replacing as the sealant had deteriorated. Thankfully it was under warranty. Currently waiting on it after a month due to traction battery fault, so replaced the cell, then the bracket broke that holds the battery cell in so had to wait for that to be replaced too. 😅
I have issues with two 12v batteries and key too. there were also problems with the wiring in the car, but it was not expensive to fix it at the not official service. It was an unpleasant problem with the heater, which also needs to be replaced. as far as I know, the wiring and interior heater are now being repaired under warranty as defective. Owned Jaguar two years
3 yrs into my time in a MY20. No real issues other than the dramatic drop in value 😮 - will definitely leave it in next 9 months as Jaguar hates these. And Jaguar does seem to be a total group of idiots as a manufacturer - whishe Magna was given free reign since they are the only ones with an ounce of care for these great rides
@@evilelectrician8903so you paid 1600 euro for a new windshield just because a car manufacturer doesn't know how to glue? Why not throw a rock in it and call the insurance company?
I would say between 300 and 350 km but it depends on the speed and the weather conditions. We drove about 240 km by 4 degrees Celsius and rain with a speed of 110 km/h and had 106 km of range left. The aircondition was on of course.
Usualy yes. If you can live with the not so fast charging performance. But never buy a used car without a testride. Check the range and energy consumtion and take the car out of it's comfort zone. Drive on some bumpy roads to check if there are some rattling noises and check the service book. If everything is ok you can buy it. Why not, it will become a classic car.
Since the end of the XJL and XKR jaguar have gone downhill, even the interior is becoming rubbish, The internal combustion engine will never be replaced not by electric motors anyway. TATA have turned agood motor into a rubbish motor, TATA is not the future.
@@ilaydayoney did the last update and charging was limited to 70% and many traction fault warnings. Dealer had no idea why. Plus Jaguar a announced they are discontinuing the ipace, sell now or else the value will tank.

Great video! I have my I- Pace for 4 months and did 10k kms already and love every second of it. No issues so far 🤞
