I'm a tearful 67 year old man. This song is an anthem from my youth and I'm so saddenned by the passing of this legend. Gary, keep singing this magnificent song for the angels! RIP x
He will, he will.
You guys do understand that it's a song about a girl that used cocaine for the 1st time and died right? I do love the song as it is definitely spiritual in its innocence in every way:)
@@Josh_Jackson shut up jackson
@@drobichaud1000 lol... Ok. I guess I'll just shut up then🤷🏻♂️
@@Josh_Jackson it’s not.
I'm about a week away from turning 70. I have carried this song in my heart for decades. So beautiful.
RIP Gary Booker. A great voice is silenced, but his legend lives on. He was 60 when he played this concert.
What an amazing performance. The orchestra and choir adds another dimension to an already extraordinary musical composition. And Gary Brooker...perhaps the most underrated singer ever.
Amen. RIP Gary. This song is haunting, yet allows our generation to feel what the war was about.
First I would like to say, you have a very appropriate name Biscuit. You are cute as a biscuit. Secondly, I love your reaction to probably the most beautiful song ever written and performing it with an orchestra and chorus only makes it better.
I can't stop crying while watching this, not because of sadness, but because of its beauty.
Sadly we lost this guy so recently it barely seems plausible.
One of the most beautiful integrations of British prog rock and classical JS Bach style and musicianship ...total quality 💙.
The organ makes this song. They were a great group
Yours was a beautiful, heartfelt reaction. Brought tears to my eyes.Gary Brooker sang this 42 years before this version with this amazing orchestra. He was 21 when his band came out with this great song back in 1967 I believe. My all time favorite song. Your reaction was accurate and wonderful.😊👍❤️
Singing this song every day for 42 years, wouldn't be a waste of time.
Iconic
God bless you, your beautiful face and your tender heart!
🅰men ❤
That's the crack, Joe. A young lass reacting like that to a bloke whom she's never heard of...... And then feeling it, all is not lost.
@@blackbob3358 Too funny.😊
My favourite track of all time stunning performance, enjoyed your reation, God bless.
Gary Brooker M.B.E - Sold over 10,000,000 singles globally, one of only around 35 songs to have ever achieved this.
This particular performance is Perfection...it cannot be topped, his voice which is called a Whisky tenor is amazingly powerful and this as you can see from the set list was near the end of the concert , so a good hour of singing already...
" And So It Waaa-aaas ..." what an incredible note !!
Your a beautiful spirit too, thank you!!!
Had the pleasure of knowing Gary. RIP my friend.
❤️🙏🏻❤️
❤You know there will never be music as there was in the 60s and 70s.
i enjoy your reactions. The joy on your face is special. Thank you.
Love your comments. Gary Brooker, his passion, his voice are legendary.
Beautiful reaction to a beautiful song. Thanks.
This masterpiece was good in 1967, as was Gary's voice. But this completed the masterpiece with this performance, and Gary's voice at 61 in this show, was better than at 22. Yes he is gone, but he will never be forgotten as long as this anthem is played.
This was the best version of this song.
J.S.Bach plus Gary equals bliss.
GARY WILL NEVER DIE THROUGH HIS MUSIC. LOVE HIM. THIS PERFORMANCE IS ONE FOR THE AGES. REST IN PEACE. YOUR MUSIC LIVES ON.
Thank you for the music all time from Germany! Gary Brooker on piano and singer was the man from Procol Harum and the song: "A whiter shade of pale" is forever . Gary Brooker died 19.Febr. 22. RIP Gary.
A lifetime of experience in his voice. You got it! Great reaction> thank you
His voice will live on in this song....and quite possibly this performance, through people of the younger generation remembering the greatest musical generation of our era....and WE (I'm 68) didn't even realize it until now.....and now, you recognize the era too! Thank you
This Song defined what the 1960's was all about. It came out a couple of years before my birth but my uncle was a massive music fan and he loved this song and always talked about what this song meant to him, it was the song played at both his wedding in 1982 and at his funeral in 2006.The 1960s was a wonderful decade of music from the Beatles, the Stones, Motown, the Doors, etc etc etc but this song is the defining song of the decade in my opinion and sung so beautifully by Gary Brooker RIP
What a beautiful reaction full of genuine emotion. What a singer Gary was. A great loss of a wonderful talent. RIP Gary. Take care lovely lady. Best wishes from the UK.
I have watched this performance many times and I consider it one of the best they ever did for a "Garden Party" audience but I must tell you Bisscute that your empathy and appreciation for a song that has been with me all my life blows me away, how delicate you take it to your heart and understand it so well.
Bless you. ❤️
Late 60's early '70s music is hard to beat. I lived in those days.
Unfortunately, I found about Gary Brooker's passing from stumbling upon your channel.
This is one of my top ten favorite songs, and one of the best live performances I've ever seen (I wasn't there, I've just watched it at least 100 times on UA-cam).
Heaven must have been short of entertainment, as they have recently been collecting some of the finest musicians, actors, comedians that have walked the Earth. God bless, Gary. You did well.
I wasn't aware that he had passed away. How sad. I've always liked this song and Procol Harum. I've seen this video so many times, and it's difficult to wrap around the fact that he's gone. RIP brother.
Your reaction is very much appreciated by this 71 year old rocker that had the good fortune to be able to enjoy this groups music during their heyday. Watching this performance now I have become aware of how spoiled we were in the 60's & 70's as there were dozens of groups pumping out a plethora of wonderful soulful music. Thanks for your reaction.
60's and 70's music is 1 million times better than the crap today
@@johncheek2207 I'm a sure hard Procol Harum fan, but there is still great music being made. Check out bands like Nightwish, Epica, Ayreon, Unleash the Archers, and many more.
Yours was a most Excellent reaction to this song young lady 💯🔥...the beautiful words and feelings you put into your reaction is straight from the heart ❤ 💖💞👌✌👍
We just lost one of my favorite voices! Rip Gary! ❤️
This is one of the best live performance I ever heard. Great and emotional 😄🥲
Such a reflective song on a person’s life always gets me teary eyed thinking of family and friends that are waiting for me on the other side
beautiful song, you almost cried, natural reaction are the best, with no words
RIP Gary. I remember this song when it first came out (I was about 11 or so). This is a wonderful version.
This song my first slow dance, my first kiss my first love! Summer 1967! I was 14 .... yep stepped on her foot!!!😳😅🤭!!! Thank you for this Wonderful memory! Like yesterday to me!✌❤
Great song, excellent reaction absolutely gorgeous host
Really an epic concert. Lovely venue with a relatively small audience. Supremely professional and talented orchestra. Gary playing flawlessly and singing with passion. I can tell this vid was put together by skilled pros because I now feel a glimmer of a feeling that I actually attended the concert. 🙏🏻 to you Ms. Bisscute.
I too am 67, I was a young boy in 1967 when this tine was first released, it became my most favourite song of all time, how delighted I was to find this live version from 2006, amazing 👏
I'm n old guy too and this is high in my five best songs of all time. I thought that your reaction was the best I've seen for the Denmark 2006 version.], you showed great understanding. Thank you dear young lady.

The most recorded song in the music industry. They Royalties alone from this song have bought CASTLES in and across EUROPE
Gary would love that young beautiful woman still sway to his tune....
You're a cutie Bisscute,
Gary would approve your critique
Great song, excellent reaction GORGEOUS HOSTESS
Over a Year on, RIP - This tune is iconic and I will always remember this song the orchestra and Gary Brooker.
I am in my early 60s and I have always loved this song. I remember slow dancing to this song at high school dances. Beautiful song and Procol Harum were a wonderful band. I loved your reaction. Music is timeless and I love to see younger people appreciate music from my youth.
Loved your emotion and feeling, really says all anyone needs to know about who you are. Rasp is a perfect description. I would say he had a Kenny Roger's thing they both shared. Respect and love....
Great pick, surely i know this one, but never seen this live performance, it sounded great..
Great reaction. You showed respect and appreciation in a heartfelt entertaining manner. This song and performance deserve that.
This live performance is truly a masterpiece. The strings and woodwinds are all on their own cadence and rhythm that comes together and ties off together when the piano and vocals start. And it only gets better from there. Awesome concert.
This version of this song is my favorite song of all time. I have lost so many close people this last year but Gary Booker was the legend I admired most. It just adds to a profound sadness I can't seem to shake. Like a guy said in a previous post. Hopefully you are singing in heaven. My wife just got there a few days before you Gary. Sing to my wife and make her happy because I'm pretty sure she will be able to find it there unlike here.
I love your passion for the music. I love you
Best reaction video to this song ever!! I know Gary is smiling in heaven after seeing it.
It's amazing to see a older man deliver.. showing how it's supposed to be done love it...
I'm 67 years old and have loved this song since it was first released. I was lucky enough to see them live a number of times over the decades. The last time was unexpected. My girlfriend of the time worked for a corporation with front row seats at a somewhat close venue. She told me she had tickets to see Jethro Tull for the next weekend. I didn't ask who would open for them and only found out once at the venue and halfway to our seats when I heard a couple telling their son who looked about 12 years old how he would love Procol Harum. As much as I love Tull I was more than twice as excited to have the chance to see Procol Harum again. That was in 1993 and Gary Brooker still sounded as good as he did when the song was first released, and still sounded fantastic in 2006. He was an incredibly talented man.
Amazing ❤
I was fascinated by your expressions as you watched this performance. This is one of the most beautiful concerts of Procal Harum and I've watched it over and over again. The Danish National Orchestra are magnificent. You will probably like "Salty Dog and "An Old English Dream as well. Thank you for your depth of insight and feelings.
It’s a masterly composed song but Gary’s voice is sublime, unmatched
In a hundred years from now, people will watch this on UA-cam and it will be just as loved then, as it is today as it was in 1967, when Procol Harum released this and it stayed at the top of the charts for 6 weeks. It is one of the most beautiful pieces of music and it is timeless. Thank you Gary Brooker and Keith Reid for giving us this magnificent musical piece. RIP Gary and thank you
In my humble opinion this song is the song that reminds me of all the 1960,s brought, the greatest song of that decade.
RIP Gary Brooker , your voice will live on through your musical recordings forever and this song will in particular be continued to be played so so many others in years to come will appreciate your talent
Simply one of the finest live performances ever captured. Any time frame any genre
one of the best live performances ever..............and the song
Probably the most consistent singer ever, sounded exactly the same until the very end
Their incredible music will live forever. The original was just as full & stunning. Thanks for your reaction.
What a lovely reaction thank you.As a Procol harum fan since the beginning and seeing them live 8 times I had a little tear in my eyes listening to your kind words following the tragic news about Gary's passing. One thing is sure God hasjust booked the top of the bill for his concert in heaven. They can't take away the music and I will be listening over and over till the end
Feeling emotional is what is been human is all about
One of my favourite voices! Your face when the oboe came in was exactly the same as mine!!❤ I know I'm late to this particular party but I'm so glad I found this reaction. Thank you!🤗
Such a Beautiful song ❤👏🏻
When you meld a truly classic song with a philharmonic orchestra .......you get pure magic , as with this tune .....and the Moody Blues " Nights in White Satin " ....Another absolute classic ..
This song is a masterpiece and you're beautiful Bisscute!
We recently (within the last year) lost Procol Harems lead singer Gary Brooker. He toured up until his death & never lost any of his voice, if anything it got more distinctive with age. RIP to an amazing voice. One of the best of his generation.
Girl I really like your reactions and you as a person. To see and listen to you, warms my heart. There is alot of love living in you... I can tell.. it's in your eyes.
Fifth video I've watched this evening featuring this version - it's amazing. I think I want it at my funeral....
Bisscute, that was a very beautiful Tribute to Gary,Thank You....
Bisscute I for one appreciate that you didn't reduce the size of the video of the band and orchestra members, as most reviewers do, to near 1/16 the size of my computer screen. Keep posting reviews of great music and great performers!! Thank you very much!!!
Thanx so much for honouring Gary and Procol Harum this way. Great reaction. As a 55-yo rocker I can say this song was very popular among youth in the late 70s and 80s to get into contact with the girl you fell in love with. Sweet memories...
Hello Bisscute! This was such a memorable song for me when I was young. I could see it's affect by your reaction. I was the same way when hearing it during middle school.
The Singer Gary Brooker is an English man, the creator of the Song back in 1967 with the Band Procol Harum . He passed away in Feb 2022 at the age 77. A great song, also Homburg is another song he wrote. A great singer and song writter
Thank you for this reaction. Please consider reacting to the studio version. It was remastered for the 50th anniversary and sounds great. RIP Gary Brooker. A genius.
Don't forget Conquistador
Thank God, music from Rock's golden era such as this gem was captured for our enjoyment and re-enjoyment as we see current youth discover our treasure they missed out on. Laying hardly out of sight to be uncovered so it can light up our world again just as it did initially. This is a fire which will never extinguish.
He sang this song so perfect. He will akways be remembered. R. I. P. Gary. We will forever listen to this beautiful song. Such a beautiful voice.
Great reaction!! Very honest and moving!! Thank you!!!
a rasp captures it perfectly. Yours is the best reaction I've come across for this song (and I've listened to many). Congrats - a moving video.
Have done you hand your hand down on this so song! And, your department is soo cool.
Great reaction and you are a very beautiful person
Thank you so much ❤
If there is an anthem for the decade that was the super swinging sixties...this is it.....so..so..evocative of that wonderfully psychedelic time ......I know..because I was there...and lived through it
If you like orchestras you'll love Tommy Shaw's "Sing For the Day" concert where he joins with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra.
Amazing things those kids can do.......songs like You're Fooling Yourself and Blue collar Man as well as Girls with Guns....yes it's kids but you will be amazed at their talent.
I am very happy to hear this song again. Today would be my mother's 94th birthday. I dedicate it to her. They both give me such beautiful memories.
R.I.P Gary Brooker, 02.19.2022 🙏 One of the best male voices ever.
i agree.......wonderful voice
Your appreciation for good music calm down relax and enjoy Gary rest in peace brother thanks for being awesome 🧸✊🧸🤜🧸💥👊🙏🌹🙏🦋💋🦋🖤😎
Immortal song and performance, and heartfelt reaction - new subscriber and fan here!
Those of us who are senior, see this song as part of our story. The organ riff is actually the signature of this song.
What a pleasure experiencing this through your eyes and ears - it's the closest thing to being able to hear it for the first time after all these years. You are a beautiful soul and I appreciate your open-hearted reaction, and I just subscribed :) Keep up the great work!
I never have seen them live but I knew this song from many years back ..I had their 1st album and another album called Home .I listened to them a lot . .Easy to find on You Tube also....Gary was a great front man ...
Vidstorage,
You must get their second and third albums. "Shine On Brightly" and "A Salty Dog". You will love them the way you love "A Whiter Shade Of Pale." ❤️
Truly a song that has stood the test of time. Beautiful rendition that captured a masterful song in a gorgeous surrounding. Thank you for the wonderful reaction. This is a song from my youth, 1967.
I remember hearing this when it came out in '67. Definitely the right year for it to aborn. Gary was only 22 years old then. Now we're all dying. 😢
Your reactions are so great. Keep it up. Procal Harum one of the great bands of a great music era
Incredible performance! Thank you!
It's a song of the Sixties. It's been voted as the song of the decade. Kind of represent the sign of the times.
RIP Gary. Thank you for a beautiful song to listen to for 55 years.
Something about this song just catches me every time rip Gary Booker you will be sorely missed :(
You are so lovely! I loved your expression when he started singing. ❤ And I think ‘raspy’ is a good descriptor.
Thank you
I loved this song,I was 19 years old in 1967.Its amazing he sounded in 2007 ,just like he did 40 years earlier, this song brought back many memories,RIP Gary you were loved by many people!
Likely the most beautiful reaction I have ever witnessed. I could see how you were moved as I was moved by this band for years. Tears as I write this.
