Pokimane, the most-followed female streamer on Twitch, has taken to TikTok to share a horrifying influencer scam that even she ALMOST fell for!
Poki is no stranger to brand collaborations so when a brand reached out to her, she had no reason to question the intentions behind it.
However, someone pretending to work for the lingerie and loungewear brand Neiwei was really attempting to attain photos of Poki topless. The scammer even went as far as creating a fake thread of emails from a supposed boss and a legitimate-looking PowerPoint presentation.

This happens way more often than you think, I had a friend who is a guy insta model and when he hit 20K only some modeling company emailed him saying they’re looking for new models and his perfect so they want pictures of him in his underwear and measurements and after he did that they asked for new ones without the underwear to “asses” if he is built good enough to model the clothes, he didn’t do it but he was glad that he didn’t because that same account posted his underwear pics later on without his consent or even talking to him he just randomly found it on Twitter.

At first I was like “ok let’s hear his reasonings” but then he told me he absolutely needed pictures 18+. When I refused to give them to him he just begged me, inventing a million excuses (like “I will lose my job if you don’t do it right now”, with so little formality) and that’s where I knew it was all a scam. Don’t fall for these things

A good rule of thumb when you receive any solicitation is the check the email address. Both where the email came from and where it's going. Most of the time it will be a random email that has nothing to do with the company.
If it looks legitimate, then contact the company "contact us" section from their actual website. Don't use anything from the solicitors email.
After that, definitely do what she did. Thourouly read the email. If anything stands out as shady, like sending nude photos of yourself or gifting you expensive items or cash, it's more than likely a scam.
Lastly, even if all that checks out. If there's any doubt in your mind. If something just doesn't feel right or you just have a bad feeling. Don't convince yourself it's all in your head. Listen to your gut. It verywell might be legit, but if you don't feel comfortable, the free item isn't worth the risk.

This happened to me but on Instagram there was this brand that texted me if I wanted to be there brand ambassador I asked what it was abt it was a lingerie brand that I never heard of and they said like I need to make measurements of my boobies and waist so I was like ..what ? I asked can I just sent the measurements through text they said "no whe need a photo " so I just blocked them bc that's just weird then I got a email from the same brand telling me that if I don't send them the measurements I would face a hard time or sum like that basically they where threatening me into giving them that photo I never did I just went to the police station and just explained them and after that they got arrested bc apparently they have done this to millions of girls and sum even sended the photos and there photos ended up being selled to old disgusting man ...I was shocked
