There was a kid at my high school a few months ago who got suspended for deepfaking girls’s Instagram posts and telling all his friends what he would use them for. Since snap added the group stories that anyone your high school can post on, someone in a group chat the guy that would brag about the pictures in screenshotted all of it and posted it on the school story, along with others (who were kept anonymous) that also came out saying how he’s said creepy shit to them. Ai is terrifying.

I had a couple of friends awhile back, they had AI realistic text to speech voices that they would make of people, eventually they did it to me and made me lose a couple of friends because of it, obviously they made the AI varient of my voice say racist stuff, and it sounded very realistic, I eventually cut ties with them, this stuff is very easy to get your hands on, for free too.

people need to stop treating twitch streamers (both men and women) as sexual pleasure. it’s sad that parasocial fans has become the normal and large scale. i do believe twitch is partly to blame for this but also the nature of live-streaming being seen as authentic, independent and real. i’m not entirely sure if there’s a gender bias towards mediums but sexual content about male streamers seems to be mostly written fanfiction while women is fan art & visual content like AI pornography. it is a problem, it is evolving, it needs to be minimised. you can’t stop it but it sure can be frowned upon, actively reported and turned taboo.

Sad thing is it isn't new. Deep fake is, but when the red room trend or whatever passed around, people developed a filter that used the outlines and basically turned the brightness back up and filled in what their bodies would look like

Unfortunately for her the website is probably run by someone outside the USA, so there's probably little legal recourse available. Other than lobbying for new laws to ban this stuff in the US and have it not show up in searches from the US etc. and she'll probably run into free speech backlash from a portion of the population even then (as laws can be often used for things not originally intended), although I think most can see the harm this type of content can cause. It'd still be available in every other country unless they followed suit however.
She'll probably have to end up opening a lawsuit in some other country, who may have very unfavourable laws towards her case, these kind of websites operate in specific countries specifically for this reason.

The right for your own public image (can't use another person's image without permission, even less, specially in a way that is offensive, etc. Even if being respectful, can't make money out of it without permission). That legal figure is common in many countries. It is complicated but not impossible to put the sites down if they are hosted in other country. Also, there are other ways to put pressure, money/connections involved.

All that needs to happen for someone to do this is for a picture or video of a person to exist anywhere on the internet. Someone took pictures they had posted and used it to create sexual images to sell to people, that isn’t the fault of the person who posted those images. It doesn’t matter that it is streamers that are targeted in this example, it could happen to anyone. Your whole “don’t post anything personal on the internet” is just an outdated way of thinking. Society changes and how people communicate and socialise changes.

A year old, but here's a legal take on it: she will try to sue and receive nothing based on several reasons, all her own doing.
1. Public transmission of photos by the plaintiff to social media in a public atmosphere allows anyone to copy and own but not allowed to capitalize upon a likeness without consent. The deep fakes are her head, but obviously not her body. Anyone can cut and paste one head to another and that's called "satire".
2. The body depicted in such images is indeed not the plaintiff, so the plaintiff did NOT have their privacy invaded and broadcasted, nor did the plaintiff participate in any type of pictured activity as seen with or without bodily consent (meaning penetration).
3. A year later to the day, far more gruesome images from Ai have been circulating on the internet which includes celebrities, suchbas Taylor Swift. Swift's legal team is unable to take legal action against any author of such images because of the previously mentioned facts (see 1 and 2), and if there is any doubt in what I've said, look for the lawsuit that the Swift legal team has launched. You'll never find it or hear of any case regarding it.
In short, there is absolutely NOTHING this internet personality can do about it because they made the first mistake on their own admission; putting themselves and their entire life online for public view.

To law, technically the point 1 and 2 (you mentioned) are interconnected resulting in a totally different view in front of law (court, judiciary).

She won't win the case if she does sue since she technically isn't in the videos at all. All that is shown in the videos are model, computer-generated versions of her. This means by technicality she is not in the videos at all and there is no case here. Since she does not own the computer-generated deep-fake, there is no grounds on which she can sue. The deep-fake is basically an NFT and there can only be one owner and that is who created it.
It could be a defamation case but the person who made them is probably not even in the same country.

The sad thing is that the website that deepfake was uploaded to isnt officially owned by anyone technically, suing that website unfortunately wont do much since the video is without question uploaded to countless other deepfake porn websites. This is a really good point but I think it comes back to the “we’re equal but we’re not.” Like how men are biologically stronger than most women, the perception of sexualizing women is far different than sexualizing men because men don’t have nearly as long of a history with it.
