Scored a 100/100 with the help of this video on my first APA report for my Intro to Business class. Thank you Dr. Taylor!
Outstanding! Congrats!
Who is here because they have a final college paper to write?
Dr. Taylor, you are really AMAZING. Thank you for teaching this APA 7 style. I was so concerned that I had all the format rules required under control. I feel you have the perfect didactics to teach SIMPLY rather than me having to go to read tons of articles and still not having it clear. You have helped me so much. Very much appreciated. I wish you could be my Teacher in Uni. I’d feel less anxious when writing a paper. Kudos a million times!
You are welcome, Conchita. Good luck!
May God preserve you and give you a long healthy life so that you can keep educating us. The world would go blind without teacher like you. You are made to be an educator.
Wow, thanks!

I would request for your advise on how to "cold" email potential Professors / advisors as a graduate student seeking a Masters / PhD. Personally I'm applying for a PhD but I think such advice would also help those in pursuit of a masters degree. Thank you once again.
@@katomoon6170 Happy to help! First, if you would, please tell me the purpose of emailing the potential advisers. Also, what action do you want them to take after reading your email?
@@peakdavid
I want to do a PhD in animal genetics and genomics. Against that background my purpose would be: Inquiry about availability of a position for a PhD in the potential professor's lab or any upcoming such related project(s) that would need a PhD student.
So, I would like to have a discussion with the potential advisor on this matter.
Thank you.

You are welcome!
Hi good work
Thank you 🤝
Thank you for your great tutorial Dr. Taylor! I'm watching several in order to refresh my memory and even learn rules I don't know. So, naturally not everything I have watched agrees. I was wondering about heading indentations as you show what looks like a Heading 2 being centered, but the previous video showed it flush left. Perhaps it is optional. I did check APA style website and found this guideline for heading indentation: apastyle.apa.org/instructional-aids/heading-template-professional-paper.pdf I loved seeing the manual way of creating a hanging indent but wanted to mention that folks may also like the "Hanging Indent" function in Word's Paragraph menu (GoogleDocs has it somewhere too), that does the page somewhat automatically so that each reference doesn't have to be done individually. Thank you again! Kind regards, Tracie
Thanks, Tracie. Yes, Level 2 headings are flush left and bolded. I don't provide any examples of Level 2 headings in the video, only Level 1 headings.
Sorry, I might have them mixed up. I was thinking a Title was a Heading 1, and a Section heading (like around 6:09) was Heading 2. But you're saying a section heading is a Level 1, I think. If it's too time-consuming to explain, don't worry about it. 🙂
@@tracelynne A title is a Level 1 heading. The section headings follow the guidelines set out by APA: apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/paper-format/headings
Thank you for this Video. Very clear and helpful. Just started my Masters. So appreciative for this 👌👌:)

Hello, I commented, on your videos before, I've watched this particular video a few times because I want to burn it into the marrow of my bones!!!! I'm so happy my semester is almost over and I'm ahead of the game and most of my paper is already completed.
