Yeah crushed "like a boss" is a understatement but it's unbelievable how balanced that boat is, always landing perfectly in the sweet spot! Unbelievable boat
I like watching these Lake built boats go through the inlet and when they reach open water, the people are so soaked they immediately turn back for round two.
This is how anyone in a boat this size should traverse Haulover. Yes, you might get a couple slappers, but you'll stay dry and you won't be in the washing machine very long! (Except for almost t-boning another fast CC) 4:20
That was pretty close. My question is to whom has the right of way in that scenario, if the one coming out the inlet or the other(white boat) crossing it???..
@@OmarGarciaElDeLa_O in this case, the one coming out had priority. (Maritime right of way is to give way to starboard.) Not that the crossing boat seemed to note, and I think the one coming out reduced throttle to avoid a bad accident.
The Nor Tech: Best high speed pass I have seen. Must have been taught to drive a boat by either an Australian or a New Zealander. Also heard some good Aussie "tunes" with some AC/DC at one point!
That Freeman 42LR,powered thru those swells like a knife through hot butter!!😉 Seems like best way to go is just full speed, keeping that nose up and just powering thru those waves, most get scared ,throttle down and then that nose dips and they get in real trouble...😎
That Nor-Tech not only crushed Haulover, it slayed it and tossed it out the side! Looks like the inlet was firing on all cylinders that day! Big rollers and waves
I was just about to comment on that loose anchor at the 7:30 mark... it's going to smash that bow horribly! you'd think he can hear the banging... ouch
For me these videos are asmrs for my blood pressure lol hearing the roar of these boats and the waves crashing are better than any symphony orchestra and better than most asmr vids 👍👌
The anchor is being used like a low budget bulbous bow. It smashes the waves to pieces before the wave impacts the hull. The hull could never handle a sea like that with the anchor wave smasher -8050-SS ! Get yours today !
Yeah Man, seriously had to hear that anchor clanking back and forth? If the camera guy recorded it, surely the driver or passengers could have heard it too?
Not really, he’s really going to fast with the boat he has if he slows it down a little it would be a much smoother ride and the boat won’t be 3 ft up in the air Really just trying to show off to the cameras but now probably has to go to the chiropractor
Amazing how many boaters do not know simple marine traffic laws. If 2 similar vessels are approaching each other, whoever's on the right has the right of way.
@Wavy Boats You should do a compilation of all of the boats that blaze through Haulover like its nothing. Kinda like that first Nor Tech in this video did. Would be a good compilation.
Subscribed. Thought it was going to be some dopey video, but turned out to be awesome quality, a treat for the ears and eyes. Now to binge the rest of the content.
Vanquish's cool hull design reminds me of something from the past, but it appears to handle Haulover quite well; but the FREEMAN @5:51 rocks Haulover !!
If you're going to take a smaller boat or a boat without much freeboard move your passengers to the rear to keep the front end light. One or 2 people make a huge difference and I see it all the time.
The prop is spinning at thousands of RPMs along with the gears and shaft of the lower unit. Once in the air the engines rev even higher. Once back in the water the prop immediately slow down from water resistance plus forward momentum of the boat putting great stress on the out drive parts along with the prop. The motor is revving and trying to spin those parts faster while at the same time the water is trying to slow them down
@wavy boats, love the vids. Hard charging it is the way to go imo as well. Just don't keep the passengers and cooler in the front, at least with glass...
I don’t own a boat. Never piloted one. But, by watching a few different approaches to navigating Haulover Inlet, it looks like a few basic rules apply. 1) Careful of shoaling. The channel is dynamic. 2) Keep the boat up on plane to keep the bow out of the water. You will get SHAKEN, but not stirred (rolled). 3) Secure cargo and tie it down. Tie it down again. 4) Bow riding might be fun on calm seas, but there is no place for it at Haulover. Plus, moving mass to the stern helps keep the bow out of the water. 5) Have a good bilge pump... you might need it! 6) Be prepared to get SALTY!
We went in and out pretty smooth. You just got to know how to use the currents to push you or to ride them without fighting it. Or do what everyone else does is go fast and destroy your boat. :)
The Nor Tech mono hull was a long boat with the right shape hull 4 that performance thru that water. Thr MTI CAT looked ordinary, but in its defense crap conditions 4 that type of hull with those water conditions. The shorter mono hulls were always going 2 suffer.
Where are the majority of the boats going when they turn right out of the inlet. Love watching these here in 🏴 but very interested to know where they seem to be all going. Thanks
At 3:55 there's a Pardo boat coming through. Under the boat on the centerline there's a square thing. Originally I thought it was a drop down bow thruster...but you can see the bow thruster hole a few feet behind it..so is not a bow thruster. What is it? Is it the anchor?
One of my favorite themes is the "I am cool so I will act like this is easy peasy - by the bow sitters. Soon to be on the floor and/or drenched. Lol. I am half way through hoping the red-top legend is going to appear soon.
Watched a few other of these vids hydra sports boats definitely took those washing machine waves the best. If was in the market for an offshore boat these vids would be a great start
Guys what's the temperature where you are right now? It's 78 degrees at Haulover Inlet. 🌴🍹😎
52° @ Keystone Heights, FLa. Winter up here... lol 👍😊
26 in Chicago 🥶😥
6c. Hull england.👍🇬🇧
34 in Dallas but warming up some thanks
Hahaha airplane mode!
That nor tech did it like no other! I can’t stop rewinding it. Dude came thru that inlet like he owns it
That hull seems flawless
Yeah crushed "like a boss" is a understatement but it's unbelievable how balanced that boat is, always landing perfectly in the sweet spot! Unbelievable boat
Designed by Norwegians
@@mccoybyz1099 gotta give credit to the captain too. The boat wouldn't do that without a good one.
Nor-Tech is a beast of a boat, designed for rough water and built extremely well. They are expensive though.
The first guy absolutely killed it!, that was awesome!
7:24 min. Anchor smashing lower bow of this boat, The Captain must be hard of hearing not to hear that fiberglass cracking!!
That was really painful to watch. Yikes...
Soo painful to watch 😭
He'll learn
Hope it didn't F it up too bad
That Nor-tech is a beast. Cuts through the waves like butter
Me to my kids: 'Go outside, you're wasting your lives!'
Me at home: 'Haha boat go splashbounce!'
That Freeman cat is beautiful. The way it cuts through the waves must be very confidence inspiring
I like watching these Lake built boats go through the inlet and when they reach open water, the people are so soaked they immediately turn back for round two.
For real! Especially those little bow riders.
Complete with as much weight in the bow as possible.
I love the 22 foot bow rider that stops after taking on a substantial amount of water. Welcome to How to Sink Your Boat 101.
Exactly mediocre lake boats on the fucking ocean....I don’t get it???????

@Wavy Boats: Your inlet videos are the best!!
Thanks for being here. Appreciate the kind words! 🍻
Nortech owner really knows his boat and isn't scared! 💪Best I've seen in a while!
The design of those bow riders is like a scoop, crazy!!
Woo, the Vanquish VQ45 looks cool.
If you're a fish. I thought it was capsized!!!!
That 1st Boat Crushed It, “AIRBORNE” 👍👍😎
That old Bertram was looking like a champ 👍🏻
Basically a Nor-tech commercial - beautiful boat and a great captain
The Nor Tech: Best high speed pass I have seen. Must have been taught to drive a boat by either an Australian or a New Zealander.

Everybody to the bow and let me trim all the way down while I'm backing off the throttle
Basically 😂😂
Yep 😌
I was thinking the exact same thing. Stupid driver.
The Hull on that Not-Tech just cuts through the waves, what an awesome boat
Amazing watching how many boat owners just don't understand the concept of trimming to raise the bow.
That Nor-Tech is a monster!
4:38- As we used to say in the Navy “CPA we don’t give a damn”. For non squids CPA=closest point of approach.

Glad we can bring you some paradise. 🌴🌊
Dang bro, I got a ski doo free ride 850 this year and it’s on the way here from Iowa and there’s no snow. I couldn’t even ride my old phaser yeg
that first boat was killing it
07:45 that pizza is gonna be a little bit salty 😂
That boat took in about as much water over the stern as over the bow!
Nor-Tech that's the way!!! FANTASTIC !!
I love when they turn around at the last set and have to do it all over again lol
The Fours Winns is taking a beating from the waves and his own anchor. Maybe checking the windlass should be on the checklist before leaving the dock.
That Nor-Tech not only crushed Haulover, it slayed it and tossed it out the side! Looks like the inlet was firing on all cylinders that day! Big rollers and waves
Used and abused Haulover. Alex Pratt and them boys run everything hard. 🚀

Dude in the 64 Azmut nailed it!! Owners lucky to have that guy driving!!
Gotta love watching the loose anchor on that four winns smacking the piss out of the bow 🤣 qualified captain!!!

Gotta love that vintage Bertram 28 to close out the video.
Good test for boat design on what works and what doesn’t in these conditions !

Love this intro. When these guys catch this much air, do they have to pull back on the throttle so they don't over-rev the engines?
