  • Do you wake up tired? Sluggish? Unmotivated? Life doesn’t have to feel so grueling - and Mel Robbins is here to help you STOP doing things the hard way. She’s the author and speaker who broke self-publishing records with her first book, “The 5 Second Rule,” which helped us all get out of bed. And now she's back with “The High 5 Habit” that’ll unlock your energy and potential, if you let it.
In this #MarieTV, you’ll learn the right - and wrong - ways to manifest your heart’s desires, why neurobics are more important than vitamins, and how to get your inner critic shut up already.
Watch now and discover the one weird little success habit that puts you back in control of your life.
(Mel Robbins does this EVERY morning, and now I do, too!)

Two powerhouse women in the personal transformation space sharing their vulnerabilities, giving voice to what it means to advocate for each other, and reminding us to high five the human we need to support the most - the one we have been ignoring in the mirror for far too long. Thank you, Mel and Marie for the gift of helping us all find our way back to ourselves. Thank you 🖐🏽🌈💖

Listening in, I was kinda skeptical at first and thought it's absurd but towards the end I almost ugly cry in the office because I realised just now how tough I have been to myself and how much I desperately need kindness and forgiveness from my own self.
I didn't even have to go into the bathroom ... as soon as I imagine myself touching the mirror, looking at my own face and telling myself I don't have to be perfect, I can relax, I can be venerable, I'm just a normal human being and it is okay to live my life at my own pace, tears start to come out, I feel pressure at the back of my throat. I had to stop my imagination and come back to work, otherwise my friends will freak out. This vdo came up when I need it most. Thank you Mel & Marie.

I absolutely needed this today. Wow, I did cry, with high five in the mirror, (i see you, i hear you, and know you can do this. Honest and authentic, brave, so true. And Yes, the encouragement, of enpowering yourself. Yes, yes, yes. The bridge
rehearsing the steps, of resilience moments in the present. Love all the research on teambuilding. To be seen, heard, celebrated, and trust.
I loved the dreams part, and believe in yourself. High Five 🤗☺️☺️👋🏽 Thank you SO much ladies. You are amazing.

Hi Marie, thanks for this wonderful video discussion with Mel Robbins. I got to know about her through a book written by Aurora Winter -Words create wealth- I am reading right now. I will start practicing the high5 tomorrow morning, similar to the Marisa Peer method I am enough - love this too. Eventhough I have so much to do with projects and courses I find the time to prepare for my youtube channel to come soon, learning from all these wonderful people like you and these woman. I am a German, living in Switzerland, for now in Jamaica with my husband doing some business here and escaping crazy Europe - I will do this in German to reach women in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and focus on the forgotten age groups 50+. So many need this uplifting and finding self worth and getting up and being motivated - live is not finished at this time in age. I remember the late wonderful Louise Hay as a late starter and her mirror work years ago. These problems among women exist as long as we can remember. Good work done, thanks to you and Mel Robbins and mercy again. I had tears in my eyes when she was reading out these lines from her book!!!

I'm always busy high fiving other people as the CEO of my company, and championing other creators to succeed as a Record Label, President. Creators are the worst allowing the ANTS (automatic negative thinking) in their brains- they need so much love and encouragement. Wow, I just did this...to myself! Had NO IDEA how much I needed this little drip of dopamine on a daily basis to fill my cup so I can give more...more to my songwriter/aritsts, more to my husband, kids, and more importantly to myself. Lastly, Maire I just discovered you and bought your book on audible- as well as Mel's :) You are such a delight. Thanks for this beautiful interview.

It amazes me how connected we all are with the universe. My story is the same story. How to move forward is our mantra here in New Orleans. I can motivate anyone else before I find the energy to motivate myself. You know when I do…when I create a video for others to push forward. I suddenly drink the same koolaid and find a way to move forward myself. Let’s go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m excited to wake up in the morning 🥰 I’ve actually had a similar experience. I was looking in the mirror because (don’t judge me lol) I heard Louise Hay’s voice tell me to look in the mirror. I then felt led to close my eyes and think of looking at my son. Then I opened my eyes and kept looking at myself in the way I look at him. It was profound and eventually a little trippy because I felt like I was looking at someone else. The two people in the bathroom thing Mel said helped me understand my experience a little better.

    I love Mel Robbins too.
I think this interview was one of the best because while Mel has always been completely upfront about her "idiosyncrasies," in this interview she let it rip.
I love her raw, messy, strong, confused, beautiful self.
    Authentic that's the word!

This was such an interesting interview!
I have a MSc in Neuroscience and the way our brains are shaped is fascinating from mirror neurons to help us understand others feelings to dopamine hits from connection and celebration, and even the way fear of social expectation triggers our fight/flight because as cavepeople it would have been the end of us.
I know a lot of the 'self-help' stuff we read and hear about sounds 'unscientific' but there really is a basis behind a lot of these things and I have to say, high fiving myself is not one I've heard about so will definitely be trying it out longer term for myself!

Mirror magic. It's real. There's a reason it's in our fairy tales, and so prominent in magical mythology. We're one of ten species in the world that can recognize ourself in a mirror. Little did we know how powerful that is. Thanks for a great episode.

I like this. But what's interesting from a women's perspective is that we don't "DO" fist bumps - hi5s etc etc... and this research is looking at NBA teams and other teams that are all MALE - so as women, Marie and Mel, I love you but blimey we're having to do this ourselves in the bathroom whilst we brush our teeth because we don't have anyone do this for us? Where are our cheerleaders? How is that fair? why can't I have a fist bump/high five that is genuine, direct and addressed to ME?
