If you are seeing bad data on your maps in shallow water. You might want to try cleaning the face of the transducer with Isopropyl Alcohol. oil, gas, or gear lube from the lower unit on the face of the transducer can give false readings. I had this problem years ago and cleaning the transducer fixed the issue. 👍

Question…I followed your video and when I click over on raw data it doesn’t give me option to delete….do you know why that might be? New helix 9 latest update and set on custom not angler
Another tip to avoid erroneous readings is don't try recording Auto Chart data when running at speeds greater than 4~6 mph.
Oh yeah I keep it down to about 3-5.
Word to the wise.. if you have auto chart live running and your boat is going over 5 mph, your map will be really messed up with wrong depths because the transducer will be at wrong angle. Your reading can change as much as 12 feet if you are going 25 instead of 5 mph. Also if you don't watch the you tube videos on how to level your transducer by using a torpedo level while on the water your depths will be wrong as well. You want to level while going 5 mph so your maps are consistent. Your depth finder images will be more clear as well by leveling your transducer. Leveling on dry land without first using a torpedo level on the water will mess up your depths and picture quality.

My new helix 10 mega Si+ gps g4n won't even shade the area im mapping when I try to map a lake. What am I doing wrong? Any way to reach you to get some help?
If it’s not shading you should call tech support. That seems like a bigger issue
if you make a map one day and save it....how do you use that same graph the next time out on the water? I have a helix 5 but it's a mini sd card so I purchased a converter so I can use the zero lines card...it worked for a while but now it freezes the system....any thoughts?
It should just be automatic. The zero line card should have came with a mini adaptor to a micro. If it's freezing up it may have a head unit issue.
Question for you.. I fought with auto chart live for 2 weeks after getting my helix 10 g4n. I could never see the colored path on the base map with contour lines as I mapped. Nobody, including Humminbird tech, could figure it out. Then by accident I found out that you have to zoom in to be able to see the depths and colored path as I map. Why doesn't anyone say you have to zoom on all these videos?

If a file is saved is there a way to delete the bad points?
Yeah you should be able to do what I did in this video then remap. You can delete the whole card but you would lose everything.
My helix 5 gps g2 has some bad spots and I’ve deleted the raw data but when I drive over it again to rewrite the data it keeps rewriting the data as bad data . The regraphing doesn’t work . What do u suggest?
Is it a G1? Be sure it has the latest updates and try to delete a larger area.

@@jesseshumaker2718 There is a way to open the card on a pc and delete some of the data or even folder there. However humminbird does not recommend you do this. I would call them at that point.
