- In this video we went to the birthplace of FETTUCCINE ALFREDO in Rome.
A pasta dish that became crazy popular around the world (but not so much in Italy.)
Please, remember to not put chicken on it. Don't be a savage.
Thanks for watching!

The way Emi describes the Alfredo as "squishy" reminds me of the time when Matteo described the wasps as squishy.... No wait they were worms....think I need to watch that vlog again 😂😂
lol
The Italian office of tourism should sponsor your videos. I always wanted to visit Italy. Especially the island of Sardinia. I hope I can go someday
Lol
Sardegna has nothing to do with sardine😂
I hope one day you will visit our beautiful island
@@YouDadu sardinia is the English spelling :)
SARDEGNA not sardinia
@@NOTUnclephil it doesn’t exist the english spelling, is SARDEGNA and that’s it; do you translate your name in all the languages or it’s always dominque everywhere?🤔 the own name is SARDEGNA
@@giulianomamane897 Sardinia is literally how its spelt in English. Why you mad? Be mad at the English dictionary bro 😂
The food looked so delicious! Especially the selezione salumi. I've only had prosciutto, but I really want to try the rest! Eating outside seems so nice! Aside from the wasps. Wasps are never nice.
Your vlogs have made Italy my new dream destination now and I hope I'll make it one day 💛
I am glade that no wasp was around to disturb you while you have enjoyed this pasta.
You makes me smile all the time😊😁❤️ Thank you Lionfield🥰❤️
Yay glad to catch your video in time. I love how show us the history and tradition of Italy. Love your videos.
Thanks guys for another awesome vlog! Thanks for showing us the original dishes and the culture of your country. You're an amazing teachers
Just two things :
1. Mattè's nose covered in freckles 😍
2. The waiter knows who he's dealing with : he gives Emiliano the big plate 😉
Loved this vlog, also loved learning where Fettuccine Alfredo invented, "Not one "wasp" in sight at the Trevi Fountain". Love you Emii Matteo 🥰🥰
What do you mean with "Wasp"?
@@lanfrancoadreani9212 White Anglo Saxon Protestant... WASP
@@ccantrell4053 Is it a slur? I never heard it before...I would hate to repeat it if it's a pejorative.
@@lanfrancoadreani9212 It is mostly descriptive but not always used in a postive way in the US. Does anyone else use this term? It is used to differentiate from just about anyone other than those from the British Isles and non-Catholic religion. So, yes, Italians are not WASP's. I think that it may depend on context and this is my interpretation. Someone else may know otherwise. I think that in the context of the vlog, a non- Italian will not know where the good, real food is. Buon appetito!
@@ccantrell4053 The way She used It wasn't positive.
And that's basically the only place in Italy where you can eat this dish and called like that. So it's not a "typical Italian food". And you can see from the Alfredo name everywhere and the very expensive prices (double than normal) that it's just a tourist trap. 🤣 I mean, pasta butter& Parmigiano is tasty but the guy didn't invent it (it's normally just called "pasta in bianco" elsewhere). He just put his name after some Americans brought it to USA in the 50's.
It's usually called "pasta burro e parmigiano". But I've no clue if Alfredo invented it for first which I doubt or if there are some small differences in the technique
@@lorenzodisante1011 He didn't invent anything new and that's why he's the only place in Italy where you can find it as "Alfredo". Elsewhere they know it simply as "pasta in bianco" or "pasta al burro", which existed since forever.
@@Pedro_99 But you can tell for sure, it's from early 20 century, and maybe something in the preparation is different. I'm telling you this and I'm Italian so you don't need to explain me what burro e parmigiano is 😅
in france where a lot of italians came and brought a lot of dishes and adapted it to french tastes (lasagnes, pâtes bolognaise, carbonara althought we do it with crème, tiramisu, panna cotta, risotto, pizzas who are very often cooked) this piatto doesn't exist.
@@Pedro_99 hmm "pasta in bianco" is wrong
"Pasta in bianco" is just normal pasta without anything, atleast in Italy
"Pasta al burro" never ate it but it should be something that it's like pasta in bianco or Alfredo oooor just pasta with butter and just mix it
Thank you for making this video!! Everything looks amazing. You guys are so lucky
Great vlog as always. Thanks for showing us part of the art of Italy: the magestic Fontana di Trevi... and the real italian cuisine, wich is also a work of art.
That Fettuccine Alfredo looks like it was(p) amazing. I’m glad you guys got to go to Rome, wand-er around for a bit, and enjoy a good meal :)
Amazing!!! Thank you for sharing with us this perfect culinary video. You guys might get sponsors now for other places in Italy!
I never considered travelling overseas, after watching your videos, I am encouraged to visit Italy. As now I know where the good food is. I hear of people going OS and the places aren't as good as they expected, but this definitely looks superb!
Enjoying these vlogs so much! Thank you for showing us beautiful Italia!
Your vlogs make me so nostalgic, I remember the time I spend in Italy and the food I ate there. that moments bring tears to my eyes, surely gonna visit again, Italy is one unforgettable place
I cannot put into words how i became amazed and suprised!!! Fettuccine Alfredo must be my favorite dish when I have a time in Rome 🤠 Che forza!!! Bellissimo 🙏🏻
I am craving authentic fettuccine alfredo so badly right now 🤣🌱😋 Thanks so much for this video! Very informative!
Wow the recipe seems so simple and yet delicious! It’s nice that they have a terrace where you can eat outside but beware of wasps 🐝 then 😄
Wish we could all be there with you! Do more of these videos please! 😊
Looks like an urgent need to migrate Italy asap.🐿️🐿️☺️☺️
Loved this vlog and all of the amazing, beautiful historical sites ❤️
you guys always put a smile on my face ..
love you always...
what to see you grow
You guys make amazing videos! Please make them longer❤
Beautiful trip & gorgeous meal! Thank you ❤️🇮🇹
I am a Londoner but spent my summers in Roma from a young age because we had family there. I love Rome, such a beautiful cultural destination. Italian food is delicious! I have such fond memories of visiting restaurants all over Italy. What I enjoyed the most was visiting agroturismo family run restaurants. You learn to really respect not only the food you are served but the whole experience of being with family eating together. I have to say though Italians are pretty narrow minded when it comes to other cuisines. One of the best things about London is that you can literally experience any sort of cuisine from every corner of the world.
Yes they are, that's what I miss about the UK, amongst other National habits...however, you Need to take in consideration that Italy usually lags behind new trends, but that doesn't mean that new consumption patterns are not going to take off. Just now the shift onto a High protein diet Is getting more recognition, and High protein foods are gaining traction, increasing in market share and distribution rate
Omg I would LOVE to try it, it made me so hungryyy! Love this vlog guys, great job as always!!!
mio nonno è di Gubbio, però ha vissuto tutta la vita a Roma prima di venire a viterbo città dove vivo e amo (non quanto roma ovviamente) e mio nonno abitava a due passi da Alfredo e lo conosceva!! storia vera
this was great vlog!!; bravo guys!; i really enjoy it; and so relaxing; more vlogs like this in the future please
Rome is in my heart, i hope to return very soon🥰 and try this place ☺ . Thank you guys for this vlog🥰. We love You to the moon and back

Not a single wasp in sight. This makes me want to go to Rome for my next vacation.

Youuu guyssss makes me wanna go there badly ❤
Can you guys do some cooking vids with other versions of italian foods. :)
Would really love you to try the Philippines Carbonara. 😂
Absolutely amazing
I wish there was easily accessible authentic Italian restaurants here in US but too many mess up recipes with the ones in my area.
The Alfredo that pop chicken, spinach or cream into it it’s American version. Ironically, it’s created by Italian, I ever seen Italian Nonna that stay in America who did put Cream into Fettuccine Alfredo, then I was shocked too, then I realized that Italy was poor, food accessibility was less that’s why they moved to America, they found out America was rich of lands, so yeah…They invented Italian American version…Same as Meatball Spaghetti, Penne all’s Vodka, Hawaiian Pizza…Which doesn’t exist in Italy
That looks superb 👌🏼. So thin and delicate and creamy 😋 😍
Just gorgeous! ❤️
Thanks for showing us the original recipe....very simple!!! I wonder why it was complicated with all the heavy cream?
I agree that the name "Fettuccine Alfredo" and its specific preparation aren't as well-known in Italy. While many people on UA-cam have likely encountered the recipe, a simpler pasta dish with the same basic ingredients (butter and Parmigiano Reggiano) is a common favorite from the Alps to Sicily. We call it "pasta burro e parmigiano." It's also known as "La pasta dei cornuti" (The Cheating Wife Pasta) because its quick preparation time (about the same it takes to cook the pasta) would allow an unfaithful wife who spent the morning with her lover to still serve her unsuspecting husband a delicious meal.
I noticed that when you shoot a video about food, you just have a very bright mood😂😎
I like how this vlog feels like I am on a date with Emiliano and Matteo.
Same
Even Matteo has the name Alfredo on his face
3 weeks ago about 3pm I am walking around the quiet back streets of Modena, a little bit lost and still Italy is cool and charming. Approved.
thanks for so much details, history and receipt.
Love your videos ❤️
Troppo caroooo però! Io sono povera. Solo antipasti e primo?' Very squishy I really like it'.😂😂
It's so delicious that Alfredo...i wanna try it too 🤤
Its almost 2 Million Subscriber and i gotta late to say it but Congrats to made 2 Million Subscriber wish u luck and keep up for the new content!!!
Uhhh Italy is so beautiful!!! I wish I had the luxury to try this😭😭 Also not Matteo looking at the menu😭😭
22 bucks for a plate of pasta. Totally worth it. Been there. Bravi!
This video made my last same feel even more Italian than it already is, im getting classic fettuccine Alfredo for dinner baby!
I love Matteo's smile... I'm captivated.... whoaaa it looks so delicious 🤤🤤🤤
Alfredo is the main character 😗💅
Great weather it seems with such dish ✨
I hope no wasp was around 😂
Please do tour Italy videos !
I wanna visit so bad !
please do more Italy vlog i really enjoy your videos.
Happy advance 2M subscribers lionfield🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
More long videos like this pls!
2:30 FACTS
Another one is when you see the waiter coming towards you with food. Thinking is yours you get excited only to be disappointed when he passes you ...
The hunger intensifies😂
10 out of 10 perfect pasta
Supposedly here in America they started adding some heavy cream to Alfredo sauces because the butter here in the states wasn't as creamy as it is over there in Italy.
Mega Cool
Yummy 😋 I mean you guys 🤭 lovely place too 😉
Try to do longer video about italian food and cool places in Italy in your style
This is epic
Mamma mia! 22€ for Fettuccine with Butter and Parmigiano! You just paid for the name.
You guys are hilarious. I will be visiting Italy in a month and can’t wait to try the food. Unfortunately I will be too far from this restaurant to experience. Let’s see if an American can eat pizza properly while in Italy.
It looks very delicious, I'm going to try it one day
I love your videos and always watch with interest and a smile. After all, not every person will be able to make good videos and at the same time make music. Show different sights of Italy as a whole. I also study the history of Italy, how it was in the 20th century and I want to tell you "Ave Duce" but still I won't
Have to look to see if they have an antipasti love it hahah
Approuved!!!❤
Así simple. Mi favorito 🤩.
Oh my god I wanna try that out it looks so good
it looks very appetizing🔝🔝🔝
That's definitely delicious 😋😋
Adesso mi avete incuriosito! Voglio provarle! E comunque il tavolo fuori bello ma attenti alle wasps 😂
