      This is the problem Canada has with multi-cultural immigrants. They do not accept our values and way of life with respect to so many cultural norms including women's rights, freedom to wear what you want, abortion, assisted suicide - they come here and want to change our laws to curb our freedoms and erase our Christian European culture. Better to go to countries that align with your values. It works out better for everyone. All the best to you in Malaysia!

    You know, seeing you and many other content creators moving to Malaysia from the West makes me long to move back myself. 😢 I'm a Malaysian living in the Netherlands currently with my family for the past 7 years, and my only hurdle keeping me from relocating back to Malaysia is my children's education. Otherwise, I'd have moved in a heartbeat!
    I used to take whatever I experienced in Malaysia for granted before my move to the Netherlands. But being away for 7 years, with the high cost of living, makes me appreciate Malaysia a lot nowadays ❤

      @@mhfazaana if you set aside the Islamic education part of the Malaysian education system, Netherlands' is more holistic and well-rounded. They don't focus only on academic performance, but also on non-academic development.
      Even for the academic portion, consistent performance is promoted as they implement somewhat like a CGPA system for results. So can't just simply push your studies until the final exam for one final push.
      At least that's my view based on what I've seen so far in my children's education journey.

    As a mother I would rather have a permenant residency than having the fear of getting rejected with visa renewals every two years or so. Specially with young kids, you can't risk sudden changes in their lives. Since you guys have your hijab business (which I'm assuming you will be expanding while living there), and also your youtube income, if I were you I would def go for the MM2H platinum. A peace of mind is worth every penny even if it means no access to your money for a year. Best of luck to you and your family.

      Guardian Visas are year-to-year but are good as long as children are attending school. Unfortunately it's one visa per family and no employment in Malaysia.
      Is the hijab business export only? If not one will have to get an employment visa.

    The New MM2H removed the requirement for the 40k MYR overseas income. In my opinion Labuan option is the best. Upfront cost to set up around 10K usd and 3200 USD yearly there after. This cost will easily get offset by the lower cost of living. Just imagine minimum monthly cost of living in Canada for a faily of 4 can easily run into 5 to 6K. Where as you can live in malaysia in 3K, which is a saving of min 2k/month (or) 24K / year.

    I am sure you guys are going for a Labuan visa. I am relocating to Malaysia and I have gone through the hassle of visas for different types. Only a Labuan visa gives you the liberty to stay longer and independently. For an employment visa, I don't think you guys will be doing a 9-5 job just to have that visa (Dependent on employer). For MM2H, yes the capital requirements have gone down but still, it is a lot of money. For Digital Nomad Visa, again you cannot stay more than 2 years with current rules. lastly with Labuan Visa, you can route your current income to the Labuan company and then get paid from Labuan company as an employee of that same company that you own. Hence, No dependency of others, No capital requirement, and you can keep renewing your visa every two year.

      Supposedly...but they have not gotten Parliamentary approval. They also haven't published the full set of criteria such as foreign proof of income. The Fixed Deposits are very high and even with the ability to withdraw 50%for specific approved items one is still placing a large amount in an untouchable account for the length of ones visa. Also in Malaysia only RM 250,000 is protected from bank collapses or other financial crises. So that means for the lowest cost Silver program RM 750,000 is not secured by deposit insurance.

    • @TravAlligator
      @TravAlligator Місяць тому

      @@gerrelldrawhorn8975 Lowest cost Silver program (5 years residency) is RM 500,000 and after a year RM 250,000 can be withdrawn. So if investors are protected for the remaining RM 250,000 it is still worth it.

      @@gerrelldrawhorn8975hello, a Malaysian who living overseas here. I think many Malaysians will agree with me. The idea of a Malaysian bank collapsing is unthinkable. The Malaysian banks have gone through rounds of consolidatiosn to arrive at the size they are now and this process was done over 2 decades to avoid foreign takeover. They are fairly stable now and Maybank or Public Bank are very strong banks. But you can definitely still choose foreign banks in Malaysia to put the MM2H deposit, eg Standard Chartered, UOB, HSBC, OCBC. All these foreign banks operate in Malaysia and have HQs in Hong Kong or Singapore.

Based on all the info online it just seems like the rules keep changing quiet a bit.. is the 90 day tourist visa super easy to renew if you just leave and enter back? Seems like there are AirBNBs for 2 bedrooms for around $400-$500 CAD.. which is pretty amazing for a short term rental.

    Different state in Malaysia have Different requirements for MM2H program..I have some good news for you from my hometown,Sabah..
    KOTA KINABALU, April 17 - Sabah announced that the state will lower the age limit for applicants to its Sabah-Malaysia My Second Home programme (SBH-MM2H) to 30 years and above.
    This means there will be a 20-year difference with the federal My Second Home programme that has a minimum age limit of 50 years.
    "We will also allow participants of the programme to sell their property after five years on condition they must purchase a new home valued at no less than RM600,000,” said Hajiji in a post-Cabinet meeting statement.
    According to state Tourism, Culture and Environment minister Datuk Christina Liew, the SBH-MM2H programme is expected to be implemented this month.

    • @gerrelldrawhorn8975
      @gerrelldrawhorn8975 Місяць тому

      I hate these piecemeal announcements? Is it mandatory to purchase property for the Sabah MM2H. Or is that only for a certain age group. If you are required to buy another property at the end of 5 years then can one ever sell THAT property or are you required to have a property until one leaves the program?
      It's like they never look at things from an applicants perspective...it sounds as if the banks and property developers are setting up the rules. There regulations drive away 90% of the financially capable potential applicants who might rent (a better investment for them, at least initially, to avoid getting stock in a place they ultimately dislike). Rent generates more RM than what is paid on a mortgage. It also benefits the long-term local investor.
      By driving away those who may prefer to rent they are forgoing tens of millions of Ringgit spent yearly for living expenses, healthcare, etc. That's revenue into the Sabah economy.
      It's a similar mistake that the former Malaysian government did when the took away the old MM2H and brought in the Premium MM2H.

    • @gerrelldrawhorn8975
      @gerrelldrawhorn8975 Місяць тому

      They haven't clarified if these visas are renewable and require that one "top up" the Fixed Deposit at time of renewal. That was one question immediately raised when the premature and preliminary announcement was made back in December 2024. Also no comment about proof of income or pension.
      If one can renew then why not just do multiple Silver visas rather than a Gold or Platinum?

    Once, when Islam is still in it's purest state, at the time of Rasulullah ﷺ and all his companion رضى الله عنهم, this planet of Allah are marked with the Mosque. The visible boundary, not some invisible one like now. The one that are marked with the Mosque is the land that has been returned to It's Original Owner, ﷲ ﷻ. Everyone that lives in it, either a Muslim or Non Muslim will live as brothers and sisters or as a beloved neighbors. The gap between the rich and the poor are non existent. But that's a long gone history and most of us, doesn't realize it as part of the memory of Islam. Anyways, my prayer is that ﷲ ﷻ will ease your transition to this humble land of Him, which we called it as Malaysia. For me personally, I don't reckon you as foreigner, you guys are just our brothers and sisters of Muhajirin and we are your Ansari. May we will see you in the khuruj for rijal(men), and may our Ansari wives will be together with our beloved Muhajirin sister in Masturat Khuruj (husband and wives) in the path of Allah spreading the risalah/Islam. And إن شاء الله, this planet will once again been marked with the visible living proof, The Mosque. And Islam will once again, be functional again as the saviour for humankind and the Djinns. Amin Allahuma Amin 🤲❤️🤲
