Sabah-Malaysia My Second Home (Sabah-MM2H) program is expected to commence by the end of May 2024.
But, it is still in the final stages of preparation and has not officially commenced. The Sabah government has approved the prerequisites for the program and is finalizing the standard operating procedures. Once these are completed, the program details will be made public and the application process is expected to begin

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's interesting to hear such strong support for Sarawak. As part of Malaysia, Sarawak offers unique advantages for the MM2H program, which might be why many expats prefer it.

Compared to many Western countries, Malaysia offers a lower cost of living. Affordable housing, food, and healthcare make it an appealing choice for retirees and expatriates.
Malaysians are generally known for their friendliness and hospitality, which makes settling in much easier for expatriates and tourists.
Plus, located in the heart of Southeast Asia, Malaysia is a hub with easy access to other ASEAN countries, making it ideal for businesses and travelers looking to explore the region.
