That Tephrocactus looked like a potato 🥔! The blue aloe always get to me. That’s so cool you get exclusive tours. I have the baby aloe he’s growing at the end. As an adult, it pups a lot.
Ha! The Tephro does look like a potato! It's so cool that WE get this exclusive tour! All this only happened because of this UA-cam channel, and this UA-cam channel only exists because of viewers like yourself, Maria! So it's all for us 🥰 It's too bad that I've been traumatized by the horrendous Aloe losses the past two summers. Otherwise one of those little blue ones would definitely come home with me...
Another amazing tour !!! Thank you for showing us again another anwsome video !!! I do like to do my solo tours on homedepots, watch everything and touch everything, stay for forever and ever. Being at home and enjoying this from someone else is great. Have a nice Sunday Cookie's =) 🏜😎
I'm so glad you liked this video! I like to frequent the big box stores often near my home. And sometimes I'll do an entire tour of all the big boxes within a 10 mile radius 😂. It's so much fun treasure hunting for cool plants since all the stores tend to have slighty different inventory. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this 😁
@@cookiescacti No I didn't go. Being 77 years old, I am trying to cut back on buying plants. If I go to this sale, there is no way I will not be buying. That is one reason I really like your video. I get to see it without the temptation.
Cookie is hanging in there and keeping us on our toes. The dream of a second remission is slowly fading, but as long as we can manage it such that Cookie knows no different, then I'll take that. Thank you so much for asking about her, Bill!
Hi love love the tour of the boticanical gardens thanks for sharing. Soooo much wish list plants oh I would break the bank with my spending, but I can only wish and hope as iam miles away in the Caribbean ❤
I'm glad you enjoyed this one! I'm tempted on that cipocereus or whatever the name was... I'll have to see if they have any left by the time I get to the sale.
That Parodia is a monster! I went to the sale yesterday and the discount area was practically cleared out, so hopefully it means all those discount plants found good homes!
Thanks for showing us Jenny! The selection is amazing and reasonable prices for healthy specimens. I myself am currently into Haworthia/Haworthiopsis, could you please show more footage on their Haworthia selection (if you get a chance)? I caught a of glimpses of some H. truncacta. Just wondering if they have any variegated or other variety options of H.. Anyways, I’m so stoked for the sale, I might be able to make it Sunday (maybe) but for sure Saturday is completely booked. Again, thanks for this video, very helpful. Happy growing 🌱
Did you make it to the sale, Kevin? I was there on Saturday and it looked like they had a pretty successful sale this season, lots of empty tables and spaces (which was a great sign!). I tried to capture a little bit of the Haworthia on camera but I think there were only a few pots left by the time I got there. I'll keep this in mind next time I do a shopping video!
14:37 there was a video from a nursery in Tuscan AZ, Plants for the Southwest, where we cuts a couple flats of his astros to develop something unusual and then roots the top half. you can try that
I like growing outdoor yucca. I have like 11 golden sword yuccas and a few other like adams needle and soft yuccas. Its hard to grow here in central Wyoming, hot a few months out of the year and then wind cold and snow the other 8 months out of the year. The goldens do well here. Alot of them have been in the ground for a year now and have pups. I got some texas pear I am starting in pots and I have watched your other video on pear propagation and growing. I will wait and see how they do with the winter and the bitter cold. I have some wild soap weed yuccas going and they are used to wyoming winters here. Have 1 utah aguave I am trying out. Its a wait and see also.
That is so cool that you're growing Yucca outdoors in central Wyoming! Do you pick species that can take the cooler climate? There should be some prickly pear species that do well with cold - because so far it seems like some sort of prickly pear grows in most of the country.
Waooh! Thank you for sharing another cool place and people, i ve got advices to ask you: i want to degraft a gymnocalycium with some pups, do i let the pups on the motherplant, and is this a good time to do it, here in Guadeloupe the dry season is coming soon, thank you very much and see you soon
You know what? I have never degrafted a plant before! Maybe that will be a new adventure sometime in the near future. I wish I could give advice, but I just don't have experience with degrafting. Perhaps Desert Plants of Avalon or Cactus Caffeine would have some information on degrafting.
It's at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. Definitely check out the garden if you love cactus and succulents. The sale takes place March 15-17 for the general public.
I love it when you comment while you're watching the video 😊 Those "ugly" plants are so cool! And to think some of them came from the garden grounds themselves is so cool too. I wonder if they'll all be gone by that time I make it to the sale on the weekend. I'm glad you like the background music because it's there for a reason, let's just say I had some mic troubles that I didn't know until I sat down to edit.
@@cookiescacti I tried to create some video content with a cheaper version of a GoPro camera that was made by Polaroid and I couldn't get any of my computers to communicate with it so the videos are stuck on a device that I can't share any of the contents on it. I have to keep using my phone for now and that is frustrating to me. I hope that you are doing well. wish that I could make it for the show and sale.
@@HyrimBot oh gosh that's so frustrating! I transfer files between my cameras and my laptop via an SD card. This tech stuff can get super frustrating. Are you in Colorado?

Great video. It certainly deserves another look when I have some free time. More important, how is Cookie? Sending here a bunch of positive thoughts.

What an awesome selection and the prices are insane! Thanks for the tour. 😮🤣❤

Hello from Arizona, Marlene! I'm so glad you enjoyed this tour! Which wish list plants did you spot? Are there cactus nurseries in the Caribbean?
Awesome preview! I am gonna check out the sale on sunday! I'm very excited now 🤣

Aloedendron just like Sauquoiadendron; I like that.
