Hey man, what you did in this video directly inspired me to try this on my live stream. UA-cam probably blocks me from posting the link, but if you have the time, peek at my channel, check the "TECHNOLOGY TUESDAY (PART 1)" stream and go to around 57 minute mark. Of course youtube streaming gliched out in the middle so it actually continues in the "PART 2" video. Now I'm not claiming this was completely successful on my account (especially I have some drum fills programmed on some buttons that was way too loud and totally out of place for this style in some cases), but it was fun to do, and totally inspired by your video. So thank you for that!! Keep doing your stuff, man!
Definitely seconding this, sometimes I watch these videos when I have a bad day and the energy and positivity brings me back to keep pushing, keep trying and keep creating.
I've been fiddling with hardware and Ableton for a few years and I am glad I found your channel. Gotta admit you're a new source of inspiration to me. I love what you're doing and am inspired by your enthusiasm. I would love to support you on Patreon here in the near future. All the best and please never quit doing this. I got that same coat in blue. Nice style man.
Glad you enjoy it! I have another in dark blue, light blue, green and red. But if you know my channel there's only 2 vids where I where something other than blac. Happy camper me hahaha
Never thought I’d hear ‘apotheosis’ in a UA-cam video on music. Awesome! (Def. Btw for everyone... the highest point in the development of something; a culmination or climax.)
Yeah. It is so easy to get deep dived into the zone Thank You for being such enthusiast role model. I lost not only my dj work, but also the two other jobs that were in the same social face2face pre covidiotism basket. It is all gone and will not come back I fear.
It truly pains my heart to hear this. Just hang in there and take one thing at a time if you can. I am happy that you are getting something positive out of my vids. Hopefully stuff will pick up soon. Hang in there! 🙏🏾👊🏾
i watch the whole video! thanks for the video ... keep it simle the zitat from KISSS - an you mak t also not so mytery complicated .. ill try to be not so nervous at the "Top" befor the drop comes !!
Hey man love your work, I'm an MPC LIve user too. Awesome idea for a video, looking forward to it! Shameless plug I've been doing some music theory videos and talked about drops in my Mixed Meters and Syncopation video :)
@@AnalogKitchen hey thanks a lot, keep in mind it was for a beginning music theory course (distance teaching), but I aim to make videos in the future geared to a more professional musical audience such as yourself!
Lucien you are so inspiring, thankyou! I would really like to know how you setup your faders, are they midi controlled? i have a somewhat similar setup and would love this addition. :)
do you cover in any of your vids the scales you like to use? or how you might bring in a different interval layered on top of a very minor sounding melody to make it a little more harmonically interesting like you did on the minilogue or whatever that synth is above the lnchxl. or even harmonic relatinship across the voices, and even between oscillators which you do a lot on the model d. oh you mention it a little just as i'm writing this, lol
Great vid as always, I have a question though, when changing the melody on the fly, obviously for the video we can hear you experimenting on the MPC live, but on a live set would you do that through headphones so that the crowd doesn't hear it?
I have a question, I drive a similar setup.. I am recording two td-3, a tr8s, digktakt and a model d through pedals into a mpc to collect sounds to arrange them into tracks.. Would you recommend a midi clock sync device? Or is midi sync from the mpc as master enough? And a tip for your mixer, maybe multitrack recording after eq, reverb and or compression ..
Since you brought up the topic of mixers I wonder if you have checked out the Conductive Labs MRCC? More of a hub than a mixer, but I think it's relative for live synth work. I've watched a few videos and if it's in the same league as the NDLR I suspect it's going to be a gamechanger. Mine should be shipping any day now... if the lords of production see fit, it's not been a good year for shipping on my gear so far. I'm looking over your vids to see if you have anything on mobility. It would be cool to see a gear hookup setup/teardown of your live sets and hear you talk logistics, etc.
@@AnalogKitchen not a controller, although it has control features. You might be thinking of the NDLR, which is a sequencer. I expect reviews will be out soon once it ships.

Yes normally you could do the prelisten on any mixer. But a basic understanding of chords should get you going on your way
..and back with the beats 2,3...
Haha. Making sure we all know when the neat drops!
goed bezig!

I’d recommend a multiclock or some other central device to make sure you tune independent strings. Thanks for the tips as well!
I would like to request a video on the multiclock and the problems it solves.

Hi Lucien. I Need your help for Discord please.

Sorted now? 😌
Please do that mixer, but don't use PCM coding but DSD resolution,....at least the option....Analog to digital should not be an issue these days.
Nice points! We are checking how we implement certain things indeed!
