"There's No Home For You Here" is a great track from Elephant.
My favourite White Stripes album is probably White Blood Cells. A lot of the tracks are like alternate versions of Elephant tracks.
"Black Math" is quite similar to "Fell In Love With A Girl"; "There's No Home For You Here" and "Dead Leaves On The Dirty Ground" also use a similar riff. The two records compliment each other really well.

I got inspired and starting ripping knobs off all my pedals. I'm not sure the delay is all that useful with only the volume knob, but idk maybe I'll find out soon enough if I keep using it 😛

Not necessarily my favorite White Stripes track but one that made a big impact on me was "Fell In Love With A Girl". I was kind of in a weird place in my life at the time, bogged down with the family life, the mortgage, the job and life's responsibilities, but it helped snap me out of a rut and kinda helped put my life back on a more creative musical path. Thanks Jack White I needed that at the time. And remember Josh you asked.

It's a great circuit. Easy to build and if like me you use pedals for sounds capes and it's a great boost for quiet devices. Its also a pre curser to the Big Muff, so it kind of fits in todays show. You can add a knob to bring in more dirt very easily, this could be a toggle though to keep the one knob beauty.

The Does it Doom Fuzzcoven is a super good one knob fuzz. All the pedals they have made are one knob! They only make limited editions and they sell out quickly but if you come across one-or if they’re reissued-they are worth getting.

Hii. I really enjoy your channel. I love you company's ethos. You really do hit the target.
I've bought boutique, bought vintage, and even gone diy.
Truth for me is that your gear works and is unlikely to break in a shart of plastic (at worst) or have a stomp fail or knob crackly hissy (unlikely but more likely 😁)
Anyways, apart from the Crybaby, my current pedal setup doesn't have anything that cost more than $40 new.Klon-Rat-Delay-Reverb-Looper.
    It sounds great.
I play a vintagey partsy Strat into an Epiphone Valve Junior combo. Not fancy but it sounds good to me and its what I've been using at home for the past 10+ years.
The cheapo knock-offs are very good nowadays. But given that there are pedal hounds who are drooling for Arion and RAK pedals - Well who knows.
At the same time, after the sound, there is something to be said for the real deal (I still regret sellingmy BeeBaa fuzz). But for me that usually has to do with the "user interface" than the sound of the new clones.
I play modular synths a lot. And there is a lot to be said for a nicely built module with good jacks and nice knobs. Sure you can usually go cheaper - but those miniclones are often less fun to play physically.
I don't know. If I had the cash I'd go for a cool pedal like these JHS ones. If I was short I'd go cheap knowing that there it was there tonewise.

Just have to say, Elephant changed the way I think about music forever. I was 11 or 12 and we had a really cool music teacher in school who showed us songs from the Grammy nominees that year. I was immediately hooked on Seven Nation Army and it’s uniqueness. My parents eventually got me the CD and I was blown away by the diversity of music by two people over the course of just one record. Finally something that appealed to my dads rock tastes, my moms country tastes, and most importantly my own wild punk rock tastes. Almost 20 years later and it stands the test of time. Absolutely a top 5 album of all time for me. That’s all, cheers everyone!

    G'day Josh,
Thanks for a great video, & an even greater Record Time.
I'm a big White Stripes/Jack White fan, so I do have Elephant on CD. Being such a big fan, I don't have a favourite album, but I will tell you what I like about the Elephant album.
    1. In The Cold, Cold Night - The 1st time Meg sang a WS song.
    2. Ball & Biscuit - Great guitar work.
    3. You've Got Her in Your Pocket - Different guitar style, but just more great guitar work.
    4. Little Acorns - I love the squirrel story. A girlfriend told me once that she was having problems. I told her the squirrel story. Her eyes lit up, & all her troubles disappeard.
    5. Hypnotize - Just a great song.
    6. I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself - A great version of a song that I had originally heard performed by Marcia Hines in the 80's. I know that Dusty Springfield & Dionne Warwick also performed it, but I remember Marcia's version
    7. It's True That We Love One Another - I taught this song to my nephew when he was about 5 yo, & we sang it for his mum. But he forgot his line; "I love uncle Andrew like a big ol' brother..."
    8. You're Pretty Good Looking (For a Girl) - A great song to play when you invite a girl out (home?) on a date. I know it's from De Stijl, but that doesn't matter.
    9. Apple Blossom - Yes, another De Stijl track, but I jammed with a girlfriend once, to this track. She played her bass, & I was on rhythm, calling out the chords. It was the 1st time I made actual music music with a girl, & it was soooo sweet.
Once again, thanks for a great video. I'm enjoying your channel at the moment, & I'm working my way through the Popular Uploads section... I'm hoping to catch up to you within the next few weeks. Until I do, keep up the good work.
    Andrew

I hope this grows into comparing other 1 knob pedals, like choruses and reverbs, etc. There are a lot of 'em, and some of them are super sweet. Oh, and then when that gets old, a series on pedals with way too many knobs. There have been quite a few such pedals on this channel already. It's especially common with advanced delays, but then there's the crazy amp simulators with more knobs than the fricken amp would have haha.

Hey manufacturer, try this: Make a 1 knob pedal with 4 different settings. Each setting within a quarter turn of the knob (and maybe a 'click' feel when one fuzz type is at its max., before it changes to the next). So it's 4 presets and the user just adjusts how much preset fuzz signal is in the mix.
This logic could also be used in chorus pedals etc. Easy to remember what is what with only one knob to adjust.
Ps. Make the turning knob BIG (necessary for finetuning)
And personally, I'd still prefer some way to adjust to what type of guitar/pickups I'm using i.e. a simple frequency adjustment, like a toggle switch.

    Great job lads 👍
Sorry if you've been over this before, what is the signal chain for recording the bass? Perhaps just a JHS colour box straight to the DAW? Thanks again!
    Killer sounds (:

Hey!!! Hey!!! You big Meany. The best Fuzz Pedal has more than ONE knob. It is the JHS muffaletta. It is the best. It sets between two Strymon's on my board.😲😲😲
Forget about other Fuzz. Just use the JHS Muffaletta. I even have a famous ShoeGaze song called Muffaletta and the Lyrics are: Muffaletta, Muffaletta, Muffaletta, Muffaletta, Muffaletta, Muffaletta.

This episodes got some charm in it. I can’t not through Vick Audio Lucky 13 fuzz into this ring though, just has that one knob mojo
Also, that octave effect is on ball and biscuit and girl you have no faith in medicine, both amazing
