I recently purchased a certified 2022 Buick Encore GX. I love it. I drove a 2019 Jeep Compass before I bought the Buick. The difference is vast. I don’t drive everyday and when I do it’s under 40 miles. As far as the response when I accelerate I am impressed. My car feels bigger than it actually is. Thanks for the video. I am not well versed on cars but this has been very informative.
I like the look of this car, and Buick is a company you can definitely bargain down. I currently have a 2019 Encore with the 1.4 L engine. Peppy and the mileage is always 30+ no matter how I drive it. The smaller 1.3 L in a slightly heavier vehicle is probably a non-starter for me. In my current Encore, it was the first time to use the start/stop technology. At long lights, I think it helps the fuel efficiency for sure. Guess the 2019 will be a keeper for awhile.
Good review Sam..I was hoping this would be a decent vehicle as a potential replacement for my elderly Mom's aging Ford Escape. At those prices for the questionable quality I will advise her to skip this. Thanks again for the great video.
It's actually a nice vehicle, my only gripe would be that it does not, have adaptive cruise control... You would think what all the safety features available on these vehicles that GM would implement that,
Lol, it IS an Import, from South Korea, I believe. And the warranty in Canada at least is 4 years, other than Hyundai and Kia which is 5 years in Canada, 1 year more than most brands, most brands are a 3 year warranty!
We haven't been able to buy an actual Buick for years now. They've either been an Opal or a Daewoo. No thanks. I'd prefer a real Buick. And the MPG here? Really? My MINI Cooper is way overpowered for normal driving (S-Series) yet if I literally drive it like a maniac on the expressway it returns 33.5 MPG. Believe what Sam is saying about these tiny turbo engines like this Encore has. I don't expect engines like that to last.
I don’t understand the purpose of the Buick brand, since it is sold in GMC dealerships offering competing SUV’s. Since Buick no longer sells sedans or coupes, why does it exist? This particular SUV seems appealing, but the 3 cylinder provokes questions
I was going to trade my sonic in for one of these. I think I'll just wait for something else. It reminds me of a newer CUV sonic and I was hoping for more
Boots or high heels, who cares. Wear what you want. Too bad on the Buick. It's a good size and decent looking. I've learned over time, that's not enough tho.
Tiny little engine, and it can't give good mpg's. I can't imagine the tiny thing going a whole lot of miles down the road, anyways. Definitely a lease vehicle. Now, about the boots; Way cool!
Have a 1.3 for over a year. Lovin' it!
Actually, I have the 2021 AWD . It's getting 34 to 36 mpg with the 9 speed trans. The CVT might be far less efficient.

Those boots are made for walking 😂😂😂
Ronald McDonald called.. HE WANTS HIS BOOTS BACK
As a student who knows little about cars but needs one, thank you for the video 😂😭

Going out on a limb: No one but Sam will ever drive an Encore in those boots.
That's exactly what i was thinking... I think he stole his girls boots.. lol
Those BOOTS!!!!
@@deanberg3777 The boots got my attention right away too. 🤪
My ex boyfriend had those same boots but his had blue laces😂 and similar leather hat. Fun times😉

What's with the wrestling boots?

I wonder how a salesperson at a dealership would respond to a customer saying “why does it look like the dashboard has three different colors?” 😂
If it was a good salesperson they would not even hear it or acknowledge it. ;)
Ok so what is the horsepower with AWD?

Front seat bottoms super narrow and uncomfortable.
Sam, what's going on with your boots?
Holy smokes
They were tied tightly and fitting well during our shoot. They are now in the closet.
35k? Nope!
You can get an Equinox or a colorado for that much money.
Why would I waste my money on a "Buick" that isn't even made in America. That's crazy!
Can't see a single reason to even consider this.
Something is distracting me from the car!
what is that?
@@frankmarzig1972 I'd say it's the boots.
You scored that way too high . 2 out of 5 stars 🌟
