Why not parallel the batteries to start?
This literally just happened on my axopar 28 with twin V6 200s. Thank you! This video made it easy for my service person to diagnose. Engines only have six hours on them

I have been on a few of them and would say they are good boats. Seems to fit right in the middle of all the center consoles. If you can get a good price I think you would be happy with it.

Another quick diagnosis on that fuse link is check to see if you have power to the post on alternator if you don’t you know that fuse is bad! Nice video and good easy fix!

Great Video. I was sure this was the issue with my 2019 Verado 250, but the fusible link passed the continuity test, and there is the same voltage out of the alternator and at the endpoint of the fusible link. Any other ideas...

I have 2012 mercury 150 hp 4 stroke with two codes 3172-23 and 621-25 what I can do the engine don’t start and I have a long beep
I would have to plug it in with the Mercury software to figure it out. Try your local Mercury dealership.
2 questions…no parallel switch for battery’s on this boat? And also I see you can start these motors just on the flush port? Don’t need the muffs?
There is no parallel but if you ran the starboard engine it would charge the port side. You can run the engines thru the flush but you shouldn't rev them up or run them very long. It can starve the water pump if you don't have good water pressure or you lose water pressure.

I have a 2013 mercury OptiMaxx 2 stroke. 125 hp. Battery not charging. Is there one of those fusible wires in my motor? Output on the alternator lead is 26 Volts
Yes you do have a fuseable link. Here's the part number. 878231A03
What do you think blew the fusible link? The average boat owner is not going to try to jump their own boat when under warranty.
Not sure really but my best guess is someone tried to jump start it because the battery was low from sitting. Could have been a Marina crew member or a friend. 🙃
Justin isn’t there a rectifier built into the alternator. I was Getting high voltage out of the alternator so I put a new alternator on. Still not charging my battery. I tested the fusible link. Seemed good.
You said the rectifier could be bad at the end of the video. The plug and play wire coming off the alternator. Should I change that wire and where does it lead to? Do you have a part number for that rectifier cable ? 2007 gen 2 275 Verado serial 01b518454.
I checked the battery isolators also. And swapped Batteries to see if the non charging issue stayed on the port motor. Still port motor won’t charge.
Any where else to look in line within the charging system?
I also checked the cables coming from the motor thru the harness to the battery and the grounding block etc.
Does it matter if it’s idling or wot? At idle my fish graph shows 11+\- but voltage goes up with rpm
You will have to check it at the motor. Sometimes you get voltage drops when connected to a NMEA system. It should go up the more RPMs you get. Should be at least 13 at the motor when running. Check between the alternator cable and the stud. The fuse could be half blown and still let voltage thru. I have seen that before. Keep me posted 😊
why wouldn't the starboard battery start the port motor - dont the battery switches allow that?
I thought the same thing. The Starboard motor will charge the Port motor when it's running thru the VSR. The emergency jumper switch is hooked to the house and jumps the house battery to the Port battery. Kinda weird but if the Port motor is not charging then neither is the house. 🙃

Yes. The 150 has the same fuse.

No. Once it's blown that's it.
Not an ideal place to mount a serviceable part!
