    These cars are known to have bad earth problems, this causes the starter motor to turn real slow and not start at all, if u put a spare jump lead from the battery negative and earth it to the engine you will see the difference, I undid the 10mm bolt of the chassis and cleaned the area with a sand paper to make a good connection. I cleaned the bolt and fitted the lead back to the battery. It works fine now .

      This is indeed a good idea. As I was selling the car and the mechanic came and checked the starter....I didn't want to take the risk and just got it changed for peace of mind. Worked great after that.

      How come that works? I had my battery replaced recently to fix the no start but must have been the starter motor...? Also I couldn't get to the screws on the cowling, do you need a really small screw driver? Honestly so happy I feel like I can keep my car going.. do you think I'll eventually need a new starter motor? :) thanks again

      @@FusedMat hi, yes I'd recommend changing the starter motor, it's on its way out so best to nip the problem in the bud.

      Screws - you need the long headed screw drivers to reach the 🪛 screws

      If you have a diagnostic tool available then it would be good to plug that in to get the error codes, as those characteristics could be a host of things like blocked egr valve, dodgy MAF sensor to a vacuum leak etc. If don't have one then I would recommend a diagnostic be done first

      This happened to me and its the weirdest fucking thing. Im guessing cruise control doesnt work either? If your brake lights went out, replace them. That will restore the power and cc.

    My car is not starting it only shocking on one of the coil and others are not shocking please what did you think would be the problem. Anybody should please help me out

    • @sutsi
      @sutsi  4 місяці тому

      If your coils aren't working then you'll need new coil packs...but something like that will be picked up by a obd reader, so you really do need to get a obd scanner on the car to read the faults first otherwise you'll just be hunting around for faults and wasting money/time on parts that potentially didn't need doing

      Hi. You usually press the edge of the clip in (the bit that you press is facing away from you and whilst you got it pressed in, you should be able to slip it down. Sometimes as its plastic it can be a bit stiff and you might need a flat head screwdriver to press it to give more leverage...to see it properly you may have to get your head right under the steering wheel into footwell. Hope it works out for you.
