    Thank you for this video! I wish I had done this before. I had to pay someone to bust through my foundation to replace a pipe because I got it clogged with all the butters and oils. An expensive lesson learned!!

    Thank you Ariane for the advice! I never thought of doing it this way and from now on, I will wipe everything before washing! Bonne journée!

    Yes! This video is so helpful! I am now starting up with wholesale soap making and this will speed up my process and less expensive using paper towels!

    How do you clean all the things you use for the lye?

    So do you add laundry detergent to your laundry when you put those in the washing machine or do you just allow the soap that's on it to be your laundry detergent thank you I really appreciate all of your videos

      Yes I do! I buy my laundry detergent in our local zero waste shop. I just refill my jugs. ☺️

    Does cold prices cause drain clogs

    I’d let the rags sit for awhile and then use them to clean.

  • @2sistersabuggywilkinsoncoy833

    So newbie here. My question is if we have to wait days for our soap to cure, how is it soap in the rags? Is it because its a small amount?

    Hi. Im just curious Im curious if you ever heard of grease trap? I wonder if that will work for soap and candle wax?

    • @ArianeArsenault
      @ArianeArsenault  2 роки тому +3

      Yes, but grease traps like they have in restaurants is quite expensive to have installed. And they need to be cleaned out quite often. I have never clogged my drains in 19 years in the making. I prefer this way 😁

    Do you worry about having too much soap in the washer? I know that I had a problem with a washer once that stopped working because of “soap lock”. There was too much soap and created too much bubbles/foam so I am very careful about the amount of soap I put n washer.

    • @ArianeArsenault
      @ArianeArsenault  2 роки тому +3

      Nope, I have never had this problem. But I also don’t use a front loader. These machines are so sensitive. I use a good old top loader washing machine.

    I just let them saponified and wash on the next day

      As I said, this is also great way to wash, but doesn’t allow to make more soap on same day using the same stockpots. Sometimes I have to make several batches a day and I only have my 2 big stockpots
