Whataburger in Texas does this to some extent. Not always internationally themed but there's an interesting chicken sandwhich and burger being swapped into the menu every month or so.

About the "Shaka Shaka Chicken": I think you got a little packet of seasoning with the patty which you pour into the bag and shake (hence the shaka shaka: the common Japanese onomatopeia when shaking) to give it flavor.

With the Shaka Shaka chicken it’s supposed to come with a flavored powder packet of your choice and you’re supposed to dump it on the chicken in the bag and shake it up then eat it ! Just like you did with the fries! Love your videos by the way !

Goes to a fast food restaurant and expects the food to look like the photos 😂😂
fast food never looks like the photo - those are built by sandwich artists (pretty cool to see how its done if you never saw it before) and you get a sad ass sandwich instead.. that is normal and expected.... but its different with this KFC sandwich. the picture clearly shows a buffalo style chicken sandwich tossed in sauce (which I love) yet he got a chicken sandwich with sauce dumped on top. I would have still eaten it and enjoyed it, but I too would have been slightly disappointed and noted the same. The BK one should have been expected though... no way the shrimp were going to be placed that perfectly on the sandwich (nor that many)

I'd suggest Belgium as the next country for this series (if there's gonna be one?), but I know it might not be very appealing to pick Belgium with so many other beautiful countries and cultures out there. If you love beer, chocolate and the best fries in the world though, it might be worth considering! 😁 If you do ever visit, I'd definitely be down to hang out and get a beer with you and Max!

We are living semi-coinless here in Japan for years. You just need the right cards (for example PASMO / SUICA which is generally used for commuting)
I lived in Japan for 5 years, most people there eat thier sandwiches while holding it in the wrapper. Might have had an easier time with that Wendy's bbq burger doing it that way.

Living abroad and traveling extensively, I've found that the US brands, abroad, are far better than those in the US itself. The food is fresher and the service is better. The only exception is McD's in France. Worst McD's ever! Here in Dubai, BK has hotdogs and chili dogs. They're actually really good.
I've thought about this issue before. My theory is that low food standards by americans is to blame. If they demanded more, voting with their wallet, if the competition was stronger, chains would deliver more. But crap gets the job done, so nothing improves.

I live in NJ, the McDonald's here have been using the number system (where the bring you the food) for a few years now. Covid screwed that up. Supposedly also if you work for McDonald's you can cook for yourself whatever creation you want. They had a special for about I believe a week or so where they selected some favorites of their staff and sold them. Thought that was epic.
