But if you ever get the chance to go to one, I highly suggest getting a seat or standing room as centered as possible when it comes to the viewing angle. Even better if it's a center-balcony seat.
I went only this year and I totally feel bamboozled. You can totally see where the screen ends, yes they tried to hide it with lights and fog but it didn't end. Also people who were in the back told they could not see it well. I waited 10 years to be on a Miku concert, I bought the ticket in the first few mins it went on sale, and to cheap out like that was a disappointment.
@paradoxzee6834 Yeah holographic Miku looks so much more fluid and better in person. Even UA-cam videos of recorded hologram concerts don't do it justice since it becomes "flattened" due to the lacking depth perceptic experience of actually viewing it with two eyeballs. Plus with a hologram, the light is being continuously projected onto the glass by multiple moving, flowing cones of beams, as opposed to a TV screen that's like... a flat sheet of unmoving diodes.. 60fps... I'm a few months late to this video, but while I was in the merch line at the Portland show (Which I think was the second show of the tour, before it was clear the screen wasn't just because they recorded the Vancouver show) a dude went running up and down the merch line hours before the concert started shouting "It's a hologram! Vocaloid6 actually is AI, but still not the scummy internet scraping thieving kind. It uses machine learning from the vocal samples (which are still paid for from the voice provider as always) to generate more realistic sounding vocals, whereas previous versions of Vocaloid were simply concatenative (using only a vocal recording of the specific kana). Miku isn't actually the first Vocaloid, that would be Leon and Lola for Vocaloid1. Kaito and Meiko actually came before Miku as well, also releasing for vocaloid1. Duuuude yes! I was at the Washington dc show! I am so happy to hear you all talk about it! This whole video has been an ispy game for me and my friends+
Stage setup crew for the Austin show here. The LED Panel display while disappointing, appears to be logistical choice. Glass is heavy, Fragile, and different sizes plus backups are required. the projectors are massively expensive (talking lenses alone of $3k). I expect the LED screen to stay in the future as they are easier to transport and repair. And honestly, once Clear LED Panels reach the same level as this we should see the return of the lack of black void we saw here.
I was at the DC show too! I was one of those vips who camped in line for a very… very long time. It was my first show too and It was so fun!! I’m glad a lot of us got to go have fun!
The memes about Miku being Trapped in the screen and art of her being squeezed inbetween the 2 walls of the flstscreen banging to be let out was the best part of the MikuExpo 2024 situation anyway Youre insanely underrated, glad i found ya
Miku was not the first Vocaloid. LEON and LOLA were and they were released over 20 years ago with English speaking voicebanks. Miku has 01 on her arm because she is the first VOCALOID to be developed by Crypton. (Which is why her code name is CV-01)
Seeing you kids enjoy conversations at the same age i did way back when Vocaloid was created is so surreal. Seeing a whole new generation experiencing a very old world (conventions, cosplay, old anime, old concepts, etc) for the first time is so humbling, yet also depressing because it reminds me of my more youthful, energetic days. 😅😭 I used to cosplay and go to local conventions every single year from 2004 to 2013. Life got in the way after that, so i only went sparingly. My advice to anime fans in their teens and 20s: enjoy every single damn moment of this. You have the energy and drive to do all these things. Go to conventions, meetups, concerts, cosplay, make friends that are fellow dorks (a term of endearment I've used for decades), buy merch, learn to sew your own cosplay, and just have the best damn time. Time will move way too fast. One day you're 23, the next you're 42. 😵💫 Time needs to effing stop! I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. :) very cheap of the staff to use such a small screen. You could barely see the characters. Shout-out to my fellow millennials who were at AX in 2011 where Miku had her first US convert. It was a giant mess, but definitely memorable.
@@mooreanonumbers oh god, the fomo back in those days were so damn real. If you got into an anime two months after its release, the fandom and cosplaying characters from it were pretty much dead. 😅 It happened to me often and it was disheartening not seeing a fandom for a series I just got into, lol. Nowadays, fandoms never seem to die, at least for new/longstanding properties. I can think of a ton of old anime series that don't have a large dedicated fandom anymore. Kinda sad, but it is what it is.
Just got back from my own first Miku concert! It was so much fun! As a broad shoulder-ed fella, I felt really bad for bumping into my concert mates, but they were really understanding. Luckily, I got the hologram Miku and that does make a decent difference. Hopefully you get to see that some day!
I haven’t gone to a Miku show (yet) but I shared this type of experience with the Sonic Symphony, and being in a music show with so many fans of the same thing is truly magical 🙏
this years miku expo was my first concert ever, and when i was waiting for it to start i told my friend “i hope theres a deco song thats all i ask.” AND WHEN VAMPIRE STARTED I WANTED TO CRY OH MY GOD… im a HUGEEEE deco*27 nerd and despite the screen, i had a blast. also, i loved the zombies reference. fav deco song of all time. new subscriber, keep up the banger content :3
Thank you for highlighting the live band and their skills - that wasn't something I'd seen in any other creators' commentary on the event? Given the issues with presenting their digital 'main performers', it's a pity the set & show designers didn't instead decide to really play up & highlight the live elements, seeing they were so awesome! Sorry that you felt so awful during your trip; but glad you had fun moments with the Miku fursona creator & your friends despite that. Your sister sounds amazing and very supportive!
Hey I was at that concert in DC. Oh shoot I see myself in the VIP line! Also Yes that volume was so loud I legit had to go to the bathroom and stuff toilet paper in my ears because of how close I was to the speakers on the right side.
I brought my dad to the show in Detroit, then a buddy of mine to the show in Chicago, and then a different buddy to a show in Toronto. And it was worth it every time.
bro i LOVED this concert so much, idrc about the screen, but what bugs me is that my venue stocked 99 glowsticks where there were about 2k people there so i didn't get a glowstick which was sad but a really nice guy next to me let me use his for half the show. the community is so sweet and it made me wanna go back as soon as it was over

But yeah, not the first. Not even the first for Crypton (think that would be Kaito or Meiko)
@@TheobaldLeonhart brother?!
This >>>
Yeah it's Leon and Lola
gotta get hardcore carbon fiber glow sticks next time loll! also I doonnt knowww how to feel about that LED switcharoo there, but im glad you guys had a great time! Alsoo, awesome story animation! =)
I tear up too when I see the crowd at concerts. Feels so amazing to finally belong
I LOVEEE miku sm and seeing videos like this make me so happy!!! I also went to Miku Expo pretty close to her, and I was soo happy and I had a blast
only 9k subs is absolutely criminal, you deserve more
i saw this video randomly while going through youtube on my tv and thought i would be interested i can 100% see this girl being the new jaydenanimations love the art style keep it up i even logged into my laptop just to comment this lol 💙
This made me your fan; love your art style and voice.
Okay woah this is amazing
Super underrated btw my favorite song from Miku was Catch the wave
I was at the DC show too! I was one of those vips who camped in line for a very… very long time. It was my first show too and It was so fun!! I’m glad a lot of us got to go have fun!
The Miku Experience was amazing brah! 0:26 SONIC AND ANIME PHASE OMG
The memes about Miku being Trapped in the screen and art of her being squeezed inbetween the 2 walls of the flstscreen banging to be let out was the best part of the MikuExpo 2024 situation
anyway Youre insanely underrated, glad i found ya
Miku was not the first Vocaloid.
LEON and LOLA were and they were released over 20 years ago with English speaking voicebanks.
Miku has 01 on her arm because she is the first VOCALOID to be developed by Crypton. (Which is why her code name is CV-01)
number one thing on my bucket list was and still is to go to a vocaloid concert 😻
UA-cam put this on my recommended and it was such a joy!!!! Also a huge Miku Fan Hiiiiii
Seeing the recent Vocaloid revival feels a bit surreal to me too because when I got into it around 10 years ago I had a big late to the party feel.
10:22 OH MY GOD THANK YOU FOR REFERENCING THE ZOMBIES SONG THAT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES :D
Honestly, I've never been to any concerts before, but I wish I could go to one, including hatsune miku
Woah haven't even finished the first 30 seconds but damn this animation is so good
I haven’t gone to a Miku show (yet) but I shared this type of experience with the Sonic Symphony, and being in a music show with so many fans of the same thing is truly magical 🙏
Finially, a new UA-camr I can obsess over 🥰
this years miku expo was my first concert ever, and when i was waiting for it to start i told my friend “i hope theres a deco song thats all i ask.” AND WHEN VAMPIRE STARTED I WANTED TO CRY OH MY GOD… im a HUGEEEE deco*27 nerd and despite the screen, i had a blast.
also, i loved the zombies reference. fav deco song of all time. new subscriber, keep up the banger content :3
i’m addicted to your art style
Thank you for highlighting the live band and their skills - that wasn't something I'd seen in any other creators' commentary on the event? Given the issues with presenting their digital 'main performers', it's a pity the set & show designers didn't instead decide to really play up & highlight the live elements, seeing they were so awesome!
Sorry that you felt so awful during your trip; but glad you had fun moments with the Miku fursona creator & your friends despite that. Your sister sounds amazing and very supportive!
I was also there for the DC show, the live band killed it!
And it was worth it every time.
bro i LOVED this concert so much, idrc about the screen, but what bugs me is that my venue stocked 99 glowsticks where there were about 2k people there so i didn't get a glowstick which was sad but a really nice guy next to me let me use his for half the show. the community is so sweet and it made me wanna go back as soon as it was over
Miku Expo is coming to Australia for the first time in ever in November. I'm PRAYING they got their shit together. Im still going because this'll probably be my only chance to see a miku concert but fucking hell they better have fixed it.
The fact that you can make your own miku expo with a plastic or something that reflects and is transparent and a cellphone
I love it all and the community ✌️
I’m so sad my first vocaloid experience was this big tv. I’m excited I got to see her this year either way! I wish I had the full experience. I was super excited to see the hologram
i'm going to one in november and i'm so excited omg!
i went to the newark show, first ever miku expo, and honestly neither me or my boyfriend minded the screen very much. we had such a fun time we hardly noticed!
