7 years is long enough time to be at one place, especially for an entertainer. I would have moved on as well. I think I read somewhere that most people change their careers 3 or 4 times during their life.

Also I have heard others who were on SNL talk about how competitive atmosphere it was. These actors are fighting to get their sketches on the air. I would think the climate would be grueling after some years.
i mean maybe in entertainment but most ppl id think 2 max. Tons of jobs but most ppl dont have the brain capacity for 4 lines of work lol

I thought the 7 yr contract was pretty well known among fans and entertainers. From what I recall, Lorne wanted cast members to commit to a longer tenure on the show to prevent them from taking other opportunities if they blew up in popularity within a season or two.

Rolling Ormond It's a matter of opinion I guess. I thought Spade was nothing special, and Meyers and McDonald got under my skin. Samberg did some very good stuff some of his SNL shorts are hilarious
Anfubvinch Spade killed it On Hollywood Minute and his Farley movies are legend. Lazy Sunday was good but Lazer Cats was 8th-grade level garbage and he never said anything remotely funny.
Rolling Ormond Yeah, I agree that Spade and Farley have a decent chemistry. Personally I thought Laser Cats was hilarious and most people I've shown it to agreed. It is juvenile of course but it' so goddamn brilliant
