You praised the U8k in three separate videos and then said in another video that you didn’t like it. Inconsistencies like this need to be explained if you want people to value your opinion and judgement.
@@damontroch4765 Maybe watch a couple of anger management videos on your A95l. I have a tv I’m happy with and I have a bunch of cash in my pocket. So if it only lasts 3 years instead of 5 or 6 I get my next upgrade that much sooner.
I just bought a the 2024 TCL QM8. I came from a 2020 Samsung 8k. The black levels are OLED quality and the brights are second to none. What an amazing tv for the money. I hope TCL forces everyone to compete in price and quality.
You're stating that the QM8 is "a little brighter" than the S95D and G4, Give me a break, their brightness levels are not even comparable! Particularly when you consider brightness stability across all windows. I'll never understand why reviewers like yourself, virtually any reviewers for that matter, never talk about brightness stability and ABL. It is the complete Achilles heel of OLED tech. The difference between HDR on a mini LED or high quality QLED and OLED is so vast that it might as well be a different format altogether. I was a staunch OLED supporter until I saw HDR on a high end QLED. I could not believe how big of a difference it was, I felt like I was seeing HDR for the first time. I'll never go back.
The irony of it all---FOMO literally tells you this is for daytime viewing in bright rooms. You are correct in saying that OLED drop offs in brightness are night and day---IF you are watching in a bright room setting. In a dark room setting and properly turned---the OLEDs have enough brightness to meet the requirements. You'd have to turn down the LED brightness TVs while maintaining brightness with OLED. But in this use case scenario, as provided by FOMO, no doubt, the brightness isn't even close.
@@cdragon88 You're completely wrong. Even in a dark room brightness stability is absolutely terrible. Go on rtings and look at virtually any OLED that you're interested in checking out. Look at the brightness scale and you will notice that it jumps around like crazy. The image brightness is completely unstable. This affects picture quality whether it's in a bright room or dark room, it is the very reason why OLED has to use so many processing tricks in order to display HDR. If you are watching HDR on an OLED, you are watching an attempt at HDR, not true HDR. Picture a scene in a movie where you exit a dark cave into the blinding sunlight, your eyes are squinting because of the contrast between the dark cave and bright sun that you just walked into. This is the kind of realism that HDR tries to express but virtually every single scene like this is lost on OLED because of ABL and terrible brightness stability. You simply do not experience it. What you experience is an extremely neutered version of the director's intent.
@@armylrs2391 The irony of you and FOMO then. LOL. Most content is mastered for 100 nits. In a dark room, OLED easily hits that target. HDR is usually mastered for 1000 nits, which OLEDs can accomplish today at 10% windows and lower. ABL--you have the wrong definition of ABL. OLEDs do not have brightness stability issues. So to simplify in HDR content, you have SDR mastering 100 nits combined with HDR elements 1000 nits---in other words, OLED vs LED comes down to contrast ratio vs Peak brightness window size--in a dark room. Remember OLEDs can only reach 1000 nits in 10% windows and under for the most part.
@@cdragon88 You made my point for me- they can only hit it at a 10% window or below and that is just a select few OLED and QD-OLED. The vast majority of OLED still top out at under 1000nits. What happens after 10%? What happens at 100%? Let me tell you- Even the best OLED has to offer cannot hit 300nits full field brightness. 90% of OLED cannot even hit a measly 200 nits fulfilled brightness at 100% window. So let's go back to my example; Your exiting a dark cave into the bright sunny day (or virtually any scene like this in HDR, and they happen often) ABL will kick in and your OLED will dim down to 200 nits and the full intent of the scene is lost. On QLED and mini LED it is not. . . The difference is night and day! Like I said if you own an OLED, you have never experienced HDR. The difference is so vast. For me the realization was when I watched top gun Maverick on my LG G3 and then happened to see it on my friend's mini LED. I was thinking to myself, it must not have been in HDR when I watched it at home because it looked so much more impressive on his set... Once I got home I realized it was indeed in HDR and that what I was witnessing was just the difference in technology. I'll never go back to go OLED. OLED is great for SDR but it sucks for HDR. Brightness stability is a real issue.
Sounds like nonsense because Sony's non-QLEDs were actually faring better in HDR tests than the QLEDs. Other brands tend to have more pop, but it's at the cost of accuracy and their local dimming doesn't really compare. Sony seems to be the king of the LEDs whether they use QLED or not. Though now their high-end LEDs do use QLED. But even if they weren't, they'd probably still be king.
You're reviews are going to benefit tremendously from the use of the HX3110. I always thought that always using certain OLED tv's as a benchmark is somewhat questionable, giving that they consistently crush a lot of shadow details, greatly rely on tone mapping, have limited HDR impact, and can't handle high APL scenes. It's great that you'll now have an actual proper reference display that you can use for many years to come. Will you make a video about the HX3110? I think a lot of your viewers will be interested both in the measurements and your personal impressions. By the way these type of comparisons are great, I hope you'll keep doing them.
Got my U8N 65 being delivered in a few days. I've watched videos on both and the Hisense just seems to perform on OLED level with shadows and it controls it's brightness like a champ. Also can't beat the the audio system so I don't have to always use my sound bar.
Yes it all sounds good, HOWEVER you will notice glitches in the TV's panel at around 6 to 10 months of ownership....you will be lucky to make it to 12 months without the screen going completely black. I have owned 3 U8Ks 75 inch (1 for my livingroom and 2 bedrooms) and only 1 of the TVs lasted 13 months the other two died after 10 months! What is going on with Hisense?? The TV starts off with a BEAUTIFUL picture and ends up with a dead panel that begins to glitch before dying completely! Unless Hisense has addressed the longevity of their panels in the U8N then I wouldn't go anywhere near a store to purchase the U8N!!
@@duMaurier15 Yes, but only on ONE of my TVs was a technician sent out for repair. I gave the TV to my brother after the repair. He uses it for gaming but he tells me that it glitches and freezes and also turns on and off randomly several times per day. He accepts those issues because the TV was free for him. P.S. Dealing with Hisense customer support is a LITERAL nightmare!
I just bought the TCL qm8 2024 after my TCL 825 died after 4yrs of use..The Techs came out and tried to fix it but the display kept shorting out the motherboard..so they recommended I get a new TV instead..so after watching this video..I went with the qm8 851g!Thanks Fomo!

@@shanew7361 I actually bought the 75 inch TCL, and I love it. I got the settings from Quantum tv and it looks great. The upscaling could be better, but streaming content is in hdr/4k is clean. I have zero complaints. I was able to get it for $1500 too. It's gone up to like $1900 now. I see the Hisense is selling for $1400, so at those price points, I would go with the Hisense.
I really loved the last year's QM8. Blacks were great, as someone who uses Subtitles all the time, having no blooming around subtitles is vital. I didn't notice any crushing like in previous years. Fantastic sound and nice full screen brightness. I would have kept the TV but the Dolby Vision was broken. Not only was it super dark but it had a weird hazy sheen to it. If they fixed DV for the 2024 model then I would be happy. I bought it for $2,999. Hopefully it'll be good. I'm just kind of tired of OLEDs after having them for 10 years and I don't particularly like QD Oleds they are ok, but it's hard to get rid of the weird Yellow glow.
All right. My TCL from 2020 has broken down, but thanks to 5 year Geek Squad protection plan I was fortunate to get a brand new replacement TV from Best Buy. I was on the verge of choosing the new excellent Hisense U8N, but watched your video and switched the order to 75 inch TCL QM8 (2024). Thankfully they are now equal in price at BestBuy, so pricewise either one was in my Best Buy plan allowance range. I hope your review would not let me down. Now the wait begins. You shared with us the quality of these TVs in bright rooms. How about dark rooms - are they still good or are they too bright for after dinner movie? What would be the best settings for the dark environment?
I bought the 75” tcl QM7 and am struggling a bit with glare as there is a window behind me when watching the tv. The U8N is currently the same price. Is it a lot brighter and is it worth the hassle of doing the exchange?
I just bought the 85" 2023 qm8 for $1500. I don't necessarily NEED a new TV but I'm trying to finish off my home theater with a high end set. My question is should I send it back and wait for sales on a 2024? Are the improvements that big that I should be patient? Or am I fine now with this purchase and should I just wait until there's a huge jump in tech? I love this new TV era but it's like PC building. Every year there's a big jump in performance so it's not hard to get buyers remorse in the tech world.
I would. I almost bought U8K 75” but i am thinking of getting U8N or U9N now. Rtings JUST posted the newest U8N review. U8N dyamic contrast ratio is around 3X of 2023 Qm8. On the site actually saying it has almost OLED level. And Full GLOSS Screen. The native cotnrast ratio is 2X of 2023 Qm8. N has Color volume so high reach Samsung S95C level. I would think Qm8 2024 will at least match. Since u are getting 85” might as well up a few hundred bucks, might really serve u well in the long run :) It might be possible that Qm8 2024 also do a Full Gloss screen like U8N. I will wait for that if its true. They were semi gloss last year.
I just got a TCL QM7 65 inch for 699 this week. Your videos look good with the bright and blacks of your video. Don’t see blooming like I did with my 6 series from 2019
@@stopthefomo I notice a little with your videos but it is better than my 2019. The miniled helps with the uniform picture and less black crush in scenes
@@Nightowl333 the QM7 is good for picture quality. I like how it doesn’t crush black levels like my 6 series did. Watching the shining and it looks great. A QLED will all be the same for color but it is the MiniLED that helps blend the picture better between the bright and darks of a scene
I receive my 65QN900D on Nov 2nd I am excited. The reason that I got it over the others was for the amazing upscaling and my upcoming ps5 pro and 5090 pc build. I got it for 2202.00 USD so it was a no brainer. The sales were crazy through Samsung. I am an oled snob through and through, but I couldn’t pass this up.
Yea that price is crazy but after about 10 months of owning the TV then the glitches start and after about 18 months to 24 months of normal TV watching the TCL will die🤔.
Are you talking about TCL in general? I have a 2019 TCL QLED, glitches are minimal, and it’s been fine. At that sale price, you can get a 5 year Best Buy comprehensive warranty for around $200, which helps. I’ve had two LG OLEDS that developed pan defects (not burn in, but actually line deformities) in less than three years each, requiring returns or panel replacements. And I’m super careful with all my TVs. So far my TCL has given me the least amount of issues.
Hi and thanks for all the help. What is your take on why TCL is not releasing the X955 QD Mini LED in the North American Markets? Do you think it will make it here eventually? Do you have access to one of these gorgeous beasts for reviewing?
@stop the FOMO you bring up good points about room brightness. Im a radiologist. We generally prefer dark but not pitch black ambient light-for some types of image interpretation (breast imaging) there are actually government regulations on screen brightness (candelas) AND AMBIENT ROOM LIGHT (in lumens). because we cannot afford to miss any “shadow detail” (black crush)! I would love to see display reviewers like you give ratings for dark rooms AND BRIGHT ROOMS (with CLEARLY STATED ambient conditions quantified IN LUMENS)!
Bright rooms , dark and medium lit rooms . And perhaps Filmmaker Mode in suggested theater lit rooms . Those would be useful measures for most of us . 10,000 nit clipping ??? How often does that happen and how useful would that measurement really be ?
What a great review of the TV's I am considering this year! I am leaning most for the 2024 TCL 85QM851G, with 83-85 inch the size I am looking to buy for. You give great, comprehensive reviews that are honest and appealing!

You have many good videos, but I have a question that I have not seen answered before. How well do these hold up when powered on 24/7? In need of a quality budget TV that has little issue with that. The Hisense U8H lasted 13 months, but issues started right at 12 months. The repairman just just left today after he destroyed the screen (warranty repair thing) and left me without anything until Hisense gets back in touch with me. In market again now
Seems like TCL QM851 will be my new TV I wanted the Bravia 7 but it was not what I was exoexting also the Hisense U8N cost only $1099 what a deal... I want the QM851 but that U8N is pure value.
I just picked up a 85 Hisense U8N and when I have my Apple TV connected, I can’t change out of Dolby Vision to any other setting - Film Maker, etc is always greyed out. In addition, it doesn’t play certain series in full mode. Any suggestions?
I mainly watch NFL during the season and stream movies whenever I can, which isn’t often. I currently have a Samsung 65” curved model: UN65NU8500F and I believe it was a 120mhz refresh rate. The power supply board finally quit and I’m getting it fixed, but putting it in the master BR instead. Which would be the better TV for me? I want clarity of the players in the game and I’m currently looking at these 2 options but also the TCL 75” QM7 or QM8 Mini LED I usually watch the games in somewhat of a dim room even during the day as we have an overhang and trees in our front yard to block unbelievably bright lights from entering Thanks in advance
My finger was hovering on the 2023 QM8, this is available in 50" here in the UK If the 2024 QM851 is only going to be available in the larger sizes then that rules it out for me. For now i will wait and see, the 2023 prices will drop a tad more when the 2024 model makes it here
X95L is good with accuracy and skin tones out of the box, great TV overall and in a different league HOWEVER, 2024 QM8 will beat it in HDR impact (blooming control, specular highlights) but that’s a narrow performance slice so I’d take the X95L due to XR Clear for motion, upscaling and skin tones
just curious, what are you using to watch HDR movies? bluray player? but who sells bluray disc these days? all these very cool specs but I am trying to see how to get quality resource
Amazon, Walmart, Costco, Bestbuy, inetvideo, ebay, pawn shops.. Maybe you should try actually shopping in physical stores or going outside the house...

@@EverydayElectronics23 idk if I'd go that far, but I definitely get the frustration! FOMO has shown some sports clips and the 2024 QM8 seemed to be struggling a bit still with YTTV content, so not looking like an improvement in that aspect. Bummer for sure.

@stopthefomo how does the G4 hold up against the brighter Mini LED's when it comes to HDR? Is it an actually noticeable difference that it reaches lower nits than the U8N and especially the QM8?
G4 color Volume at 8.3/10. U8N just came out from rtings , Color Volume Matching Samsung S95C. It’s insane. I would expect Qm8 would match that too. For most ppl side by side they will still U8N n Qm8 more colorful even G4 already had color boost to up the like 10-15% from last year. But its not much. U8N Qm851 already reaching flagship QD-OLED color volume . It will have much vivid pop.
We are approaching "Peak LCD". Once they hit 10,000 zone FALD there won't be much left to improve in an LCD panel TV. The QM8 with 5,000 zones is only halfway to ideal, but still I would call it the first of a new breed of TV.
@@510maddog Arguably the 115" model has already made it when that thing has 20,000 zones. Anyone who can fit that TV in their house has the best image quality you'll ever see out of LCD technology.
Thank you FOMO. You never seem to cover how the TV's look at a slightly off viewing angle. If several people are watching at the same time, most probably somebody is going to have an off angle such as 30 degrees. How do the the TVs compare at off angles?
I actually prefer the Hisense UN8 over the current TCL QM8. In a lot of ways tv reviews are subjective. The data is the data, but what's pleasing to the eye differs between people. To me the UN8 just has the edge over the QM8, though both are great tvs.

The Bravia 9 spanked the living crap out of the QN900D in KG stream. I don't even think that was an opinion just straight fact. I am not sure it would be brighter than a QM8 2024. But it will be up there and definitely have better processing and contrast and color and shadow detail.. That said now that you soon have your 3110. The truth can be revealed among all the TVs. I am not really into OLED because of my PC usage and ASBL would be really annoying. If that didn't exist G4 would be my otherwise pick if B9 was a total waste. But thankfully it's not. It won't beat any OLED in a dark room. But it will be close in most scenes and will have brightness advantage in SDR and high APL HDR. I think it might beat the G4 in shadow detail. And definitely in color luminance etc. I also don't sit in a dark room, but dimly lit light controlled room with ambient bias lighting behind the TV.
I don’t think it spanked it. I think it beat it by a small margin. In quite a few scenes, the 900d looked better. It’s just that the b9 won in most scenes. In game mode, they were almost identical and both lacking imo. Game mode definitely looks and performs better on a newer oled. I’m not certain, but still leaning towards the G4 as the best overall tv. I’m gonna wait for more side by side comparisons.

I just picked up a LG UR9000 to replace that H8G and for a $500 tv I'm very impressed. It's not as horrible as all the reviews claim. I thinks it's actually pretty good. It's just not super bright. The last led Sony I had was a x85j and it had great motion especially for sports, upscaling was superior as well. If that doesn't work I'm going back to LG G series OLED.
WE CAN ANSWER THIS IF YOU ACTUALLY COMPARE MOTION AND UPSCALING AND PROCESS POWER. YOU NEVER COVER THESE AREAS AND ONLY COVER NITS AND CONTRAST. THOSE THINGS ARENT MOST IMPORTANT AS MOST OF US STILL STREAM SHOWS AND SPORTS
hmm. I live in China and I now have to wonder. The QM8 2024 you are talking about is indeed *almost* the real flagship. I say this because in China, they sell the true flag ship under X11H (not G). The 85X11H has 10368 zones and XDR is 6500 nits. I don't think this model will be for sale outside China in 2024, most likely that will be the QM8 2025 model. Sadly, no idea how good it performs since I didn't find a store that has this puppy.
I don't know if FOMO knows the bravia 7 exists, he skipped right to mentioning the bravia 9 above the x90l !!!!!!!! Still outside the price bracket sure, but not AS big of a financial leap.

HOW IS MOTION AND UPSCALING
@EverydayElectronics23 I agree and longevity of firmware updates etc.

The U8N in a 55” has a completely diff panel than its larger sizes. I wouldn’t recommend it judging it on the same scale as its 65” counter part.
Saw the 55" version at Best Buy, it looked great. It looked better than most of the TVs there, only the high end OLEDs looked better, but not by much.

@@stopthefomothanks for checking I am also interested in this as well!
Best Buy has used QM8’s available for as low a $650!!
Hi Fomo does the newest TV run on dual voltage
I mean 110/220
Are you going to review the QN95D? I haven't seen many people even talking about it.
Unlikely because once again it’s a limited release TV available only from custom installers
@@stopthefomoShocking to me how much worse the QN90D performs against the new QM8.
2023 85 inch QM8 is $1500 at BestBuy
Sick deal 🔥
What model is the TCL QM8 in Australia? 🤔
Where do you see dynamic tone mapping on the 2023 QM8? I don’t see that option on my TV
Same
Does the ‘24 qm8 do Dolby vision gaming at 120hz?
Tcl qm8 is the same as tcl c855 on other markets?
I don’t think it is, I believe the 2024 QM8 is the x955 basically
@@TheMailerDaemonLives yeah, thats what I thought. Thank you.
No it is more equal to the TLC C845
The X955 is up to 115" not up to 98"
Whose the hell great stupid dumb idea was it to name TVs the same name for consecutive years in a row 🙄
I actually prefer the Hisense UN8 over the current TCL QM8. In a lot of ways tv reviews are subjective. The data is the data, but what's pleasing to the eye differs between people. To me the UN8 just has the edge over the QM8, though both are great tvs.
I find U8N to be more similar to the Bravia 9
U9N or the X series is coming out going to smoke a lot of tvs
Thanks, it looks like mini leds (TCL) are ultimate tweaking nightmares. Out of the box headache, washed out. Yes you can get awesome quality but you have to be a pro to do that with a calibration device for sure :-) I'm just saying because it looks like it.
How can I get the firmware v295, I had reached out to TCL and they told me that my 2023 85" QM8 was already updated to the latest version at v283.
If I have a U8K should I upgrade or wait another year
Wait, u8k dimming is phenomenal but panel sucks
Just wait
@@fvallodon't worry by the time it's 3 years old it will quit working anyway. So might as well wait. 😂
I want a 98 QM851G. Are you going to review 98 inch TVs?
I’m planning for it but side by side will be crazy hard!
@@stopthefomo Obviously it would.. But just review of the 98's even if not side by side would be helpful before laying out 6K or so...:)
I'm upgrading from a 2019 Samsung Q90R..I love this TV and it has been rock solid.. Just looking to move up toa 98 from 82... Trying to make the right choice in mini led..
I would love to see a compare of TCL 98 QM851G vs LG 83OLEDG4. 83 is as big as you can get OLED before the price becomes unattainable for all but the wealthiest, if the TCL 98 QM851G could be just as good/nearly as good but it is bigger AND cheaper then could see a reason to move away from OLED.
Great comparison show, next would be motion and upscaling processing for me to make an informed choice this year.
@@rct8884 AGAIN THIS ISWHERE THEY STOP AT CAUSE CONTRAST AND NITS ARE MORE IMPORTANT OVER MOTION AND UPSCALING. ITS SAD AND PATETHIC
QM8 2024 same C855?
Great video info. I hope people appreciate how much time and effort it takes to be this informed and prepared. Great stuff! 👍
Wait..How did the qn900d get in there!? I thought it was the Sony X90L until the end when you said it was 3000 dollars. Which when I look it up its 5. And its an 8k tv. You never even talked about why you put that in there.
People forget that the 65" QN900D is dimmer than the 75" and 85", it is mostly because of the 8k pixel density, it hurts the brightness on 65"
Need a Bravia 9 comparison ASAP. You are the only opinion I want to hear from in regards to how it stacks up. I’m torn between a Bravia 8 and Bravia 9. Potentially even an A95L. I plan on buying a 65”
2024 QM8 vs Bravia 7 PLEASE!
TCL bro no contest here begging with the price difference also the Bravia 7 doesn't have a Glossy panel and it does not handle reflections well, the Bravia 7 is just a X93L with a bit higher peak brightness 🔆 if you want the best from Sony you have to get the Bravia 9 and pay a lot of money that's not justified in my opinion. TCL851 also the Bravia 7 has worse viewing angle than the X93L.. It's like.....
@@FenixPajarito I hear you but I want the masses to see how close they are. The X93 was around $500 more than the QM8 & it showed. I really wanna see if the new QM8 was able to close the gaps in crushed blacks & motion processing to the Bravia 7/X93
@@FenixPajarito the x93l was a much better looking tv than the qm8. Watch content on those two tvs side by side and the tcl colors look off and the highlight focus is not as good. I think it goes beyond the backlight and is more about what sonys processing is trying to highlight.
@@ubuu7 The QM851 2024 is not the same as the QM8 2023. Did you even watch FOMO videos about the New TCL? I know Sony is amazing with the picture quality but the TCL is offering a 65 inch for only $1499 with a Glossy panel and the Sony Bravia 7 65 inch is $2000 with a non Glossy panel. The Bravia 7 has some black crush issues I've watched a review already and rtings gave it a 8.4/10. Plus the Sony has higher Input Lag than the TCL so gaming is even better on the TCL.
@@InfamousHp The new QM851 is not the same as the 2023 and the Bravia 7 is not really that better than the X93L so based on that the TCL QM851 is better value and better tv than the Bravia 7 the Bravia 7 is literally a X93L but with slightly higher Brightness 🔆. Also the Bravia 7 can't display pitch black bars like the 2024" QM8. Even FOMO is comparing the TCL QM851 against the Bravia 9. I rather get the X93L 65 Inch over the Bravia 7 55 inch.
Does the 24 QM8 solve the chroma 444 issue at 120 hz+ for PC usage that the 23 QM8 had?
Go Hisense if you want chroma 444. It is the best for all use cases.
@@arielis78Is it though…
@@TheMailerDaemonLives TV watching, check. Movie watching, check. Console gaming, check. PC gaming and tasks(CHROMA 444), check. All while having HDR and Dolby vision and Free sync and G sync support. Yes, it is...But only if you're asking about for mini Led like aliendisclosure227 stated.
Great to see TCL starting to really get serious. More competition is always a good thing!
Love the shirt
Great Review Fomo!!!!
Just got the hisense U8N but going to return it after watch this video for the TCL
Why return U8N, is it so bad? Right now I looking between U8N and QM8/C855 , in my region we get C855.
I think the new lg qned 90t is soooo much better than both tcl and hisense, 2024 models.
Which year? D or T?
Thank you FOMO- Im about to buy a LG G4 and I have a really bright room, tv will be behind a 1-way mirror I need that setting! Cinema home/dynamic tone mapping/expression enhancer brightness on!
I have the QM8. Buy it.
2023 or 2024?
Unfortunately the TCL QM8 2024 in europe, which have a other name, the TCL X955, is only available in 85" and 98"
And the Hisence is available ( I think it's the same model, not sure), but here we have the crappy OS Vidaa instead of Android, and no way to flash the OS....
So stuck with the overpriced Sony and Samsung for mini led ( I want to move away from Oled, I can't stand the stuttering anymore )
Neither. I'm done with Hisense
Sony, LG, Samsung only from now on. At least they last and can process a picture properly, and you can use the Smart features without drama because the Chinese brand suck at that functionality with slowness and hang ups.
U8H was horrible processing
And my H8G lasted 12k hours and died. That's Pathetic
I had a 2018 LG 8 series OLED with 36k hours on it and still sold it for $200. No issues what so ever.
I still have a Vizio E series from 2015 that has 48k on it and it still works to this day.
So look at Rtings longevity test. The Hisense TVs have horrendous uniformity issues at 9k hours. That says alot. They are trash.
Almost bought a 55 Hisense U8N the other day since they're already on sale, boy I'm glad I decided to check youtube to see what everyone was saying before I did
Seriously bro. Don't do it. Go look at all the comments at best buy from a 2-3 year old model. It's the same story. Won't load or power up. And the Uniformity is horrendous after about 7000 hours.
I have a Sony x90L it it absolutely crushed the processing of Hisense U8H that I kept for 29 days . So disappointed in that tv. It's bright yep. But it too bright and washed out . Same with the blacks. Except the processing was so horrible it was all blotchy with multiple shades of black micro blocking. Absolutely dog shiT. So believe me that X90L is way way better.
Also I have a 2021 70inch Vizio M7 that everyone gives so so reviews yet the blacks on that tv Killed my H8G and the motionwas better too. . That tvs still going strong.
I just picked up a LG UR9000 to replace that H8G and for a $500 tv I'm very impressed. It's not as horrible as all the reviews claim.
I thinks it's actually pretty good. It's just not super bright. But for an lg edge lit panel I was impressed. No screen bleed and it actually only has slightly lifted black.
Definitely not terrible at all.
But I think my next tv gonna be a Lg B4 or C4 to replace my Vizio
@@steviemac2377 Look into either a Sony X90L Samsung Qn85c even LG Qned83 or 85
Yeah those Chinese tvs ain’t shit 100 image is blurry os is buggy
These vs Qn90c since prices are good on those now and it’s a major brand
QN90c is not nearly as good as the 24 QM8
@@TheMailerDaemonLives you have both ?
@@TheMailerDaemonLives WHY CAUSE ITS BRIGHTER AND HAS BETTER CONTRAST LOL SMH WHAT ABOUT UPSCALING AND MOTION
Why so much hate for x93l?
Didn’t mention it? It’s a bit expensive compared to X90L and the blooming issue would not show well against the QM8
@@stopthefomoI am not a fan of the X93L at all. I can’t wait for that display to be taken out of Best Buy. Bad blooming in the 65”, low zone count, and no XR Clear. Luckily we will have a 65” displayed so I can plug a Blu-ray player into it at work to test it further than I got to at the Sony road show. When do you get your Bravia 9 in? And will you be a livestream as soon as you do?
The new Hisense sucks I bought one and took it back the next day and brought another lg oled I was just kidding myself trying something different
Same
Haha I'm about to go back to OLED too or Sony mini-led. Bought the TCL Qm8 because of the hype, upscaling and motion are not good.
@beammeupscottsp7952 Damn, I have always had LG OLED'S and have gotten burn in and sick of dealing with jt. I'd like to go LED but Sony Bravia B9 with limited 2.1 hdmi and a few other issues for it's price I've been looking at other models.
@@shanew7361 haha yeah I had oleds and wanted to try these mini-leds because of the hype this year from all the youtubers. Blacks are good and it is really bright BUT if you're not watching 4k material it really doesn't upscale that well, picture looks soft and motion is average. I may try out the Bravia 7 mini-led since its significantly cheaper than the Bravia 9. The last led Sony I had was a x85j and it had great motion especially for sports, upscaling was superior as well. If that doesn't work I'm going back to LG G series OLED.
Why call them Chinese budget brands when all these brands has Chinese parts in em? Lol

Sorry Bravia 7 the TCL QM851 has taken your spot...
Mixed up this, giving me headache

how about s90c 65😂😂
I don't know if FOMO knows the bravia 7 exists, he skipped right to mentioning the bravia 9 above the x90l !!!!!!!! Still outside the price bracket sure, but not AS big of a financial leap.
That’s because the B7 isn’t in for review yet and also, it’s getting worse ratings than the x93l
@@TheMailerDaemonLiveswhat reviewers said it was worse than the x93L?
@@fps_loboJust by the metrics, the team at Rtings rated it lower overall because it has poor viewing angles and cannot combat glare.
