If there's one video that has done justice to this beautiful park, this is it! Amazing photography, information, and editing. Will watch it over and over.
The Grand Canyon of the east, I agree!
What a brilliant scenery, what a magnificent presentation!!! Hats off! Amazing video, views are simply magnificent here my friend!
Thank you for the video. Planning on going there myself this month 🙌
Outstanding video, Dan. I’m planning a photo visit to Letchworth in early October and this has been the most helpful resource of any I have come across. I did not have Humphrey’s Point, Trout Pond, nor shooting the Milky Way behind Upper Falls on my idea list until now. Thank you!!!
SUPERB CAMERA FOOTAGE
Wonderful video, a lot of great information, thank you!
Amazing place well presented !
Just found you and subbed.great review! I am 71,not sure i will make it there, but i will try.cant hike as well as i used to.but my son travels,i will tell him about it for sure
Amazing!!! I have been intending to visit since the 2024 total solar eclipse. Weather was better for viewing in Burlington, VT, but maybe soon with someone special! Such a helpful guide, really-
I've watched many videos about Letchworth, yours is the first to mention the fireflies! Excellent inclusion. They were such an unexpected treat during a July camping trip a few years ago. The Olympic-sized swimming pool was too. 👍
What a great video guide! Hope you can do one guide of Allegany State Park.
Keep doing these amazing videos!
Trail 2 A is my favorite
Fantastic video! Thank you so much! 😊👍💜
Superb video, thank you so much for taking your time and doing this. I am going this Thursday for the very first time. Do you also have any video for Watkins Glen?
Thank you! And yes, I do have a Watkins Glen guide-it can be found under my Finger Lakes playlist.
@@DanTreks got it, thanks for the swift response.
New subscriber here 🙋🏻♀️ I’m greatly surprised by the quality of your videos! Love from Lima, Peru 🇵🇪
Thank you for this informative video!! Love it!!!
So amazing i visited a lott❤
thank you for this insightful video. We are planning a trip soon. You mentioned a mid length zoom for the lower falls. Is 100mm enough, or should I bring my 100-400mm lens? thanks in advance.
Welcome! If you’re just doing photo 100mm should be fine, if you’re planning on video too you might want a little tighter.
Thank you for a very informative overview of the park. plan to get up to the park (from Philly) summer of 2024
Can you continue to shoot after closing hours if you are staying in the park, camping or at the lodge?
You're welcome! And unfortunately, I don't believe you can venture out for some night time photography even if you do have lodging in the park. While camping in New York's Allegany State Park I actually ran into the same issue where I was stopped by a ranger and asked to return to my campsite after hours. It might be possible to inquire about some kind of after-hours permit from the visitors center though.
If we don't have time, between Letchworth Park and Taughannock state park, which one do you have to choose? Thank you.
If you’re short on time Taughannock is much smaller than Letchworth, and its main feature is just the waterfall.
@@DanTreks Thank you.
@@DanTreks Also, which one gives more beautiful foliage in the Fall? Thanks.
