- In today's video we are making a wallet out of fabric!!!! I know, I am just as excited as you are lol I have been wanting to make a pattern for a mens wallet for forever so I took so time off of work and made this pattern which can be found in the link below. If you have ever wanted to make a one of kind wallet for that special someone now is the time! In this video I will show you how to take a small amount of fabric and make card slots and an opening to keep cash, no zippers, snaps or velcro needed! These could easily be a really neat Fathers day gift or Christmas!

I've seen this before, but they made it seem complex. You were like just the facts mam, and that made it easy to understand. I don't usually pay for patterns as they are out there free somewhere, but I did order this from you assuming it would be clear instructions, and its Thanks. God bless.

You did a great job, if is thick would it not be better to keep interfacing out of your seam allowance
It would, however they need to be sewn in, so I didn't see any other way around it.
When you finally did the top stitch over the vinal how did the wallet open up?? Sorry guess I was a bit confussed. I usually handstitch everything and only use my machine for large things because it so antique that I don't even have the instructions any more.
You're not sewing the pocket closed, you sew right over top of it. Topstitches the edges closed, not the pocket.

These are really cute. I was trying to find something to make for my boys for Christmas. (Gotta think ahead). This is perfect. I have a older Kenmore that is a beast for heavy fabrics. I will try the vinyl on it and see how it does.
Drive slow! Those layers can get thick lol I did one with waterproof canvas today and it's a great stablizer.

Hello, I bought your pattern and I am eager to give it a try. Just a quick question, what weight did you use for your interfacing?
I would use a really light interfacing like sf101, if you have any question don't hesitate to ask!

I just bought the wallet pattern. First time ever buying an internet pattern/one not already printed. I’m sorry but I can’t figure out how to get the pattern. I bought it as a guest but now Etsy won’t give me the pattern without signing in with an email address that I didn’t get the pattern sent to, haven’t used in years, and can’t get into… even though it sent the link pdf to the email I bought with and use. Can you help me?
