I just retired so I'm trying to watch all of your videos as you explain everything so well. Thanks for being such a a great instructor
Thank you so much Maggie😁
I reported the spam commenters offering Brunettes and Blondes. Really sketchy. Thank you for another great project to try. I made 6 shopping bags this week from some quilted fabric I had from at least 30 years ago.
Thanks for that Cynthia. We always get several of those when new videos get released. I don't know why they do it.
Good job on the bags. The vintage fabric would look great😀
Love you creations. The Doggie Poo Pouch is great in my charity bags I do for the rescue organizations that I do for my area. I am going to do these pouch for tea bags that I pair with a mug rug and mugs to put in the bags for the owners to enjoy while relaxing with their pet. Great ideas, please keep them coming.😄😊
That's a great deal Judi 😃

Thank you Diane. Happy sewing!!😃
Thanks for the easy to following explanation and video. I made one today. It came out perfect. I'm using it to store my loyalty cards. It was a wonderful use of scrap fabric.
That's great Jen. Thank you 😊
Such a quick & easy project and a wonderfully clear video! Thank you!. I've made one with elastic, but ran out of narrow elastic, so substituted velcro dots for the next 2. That works well, but does take a bit more time.
Thanks Agnes. They're such a quick and simple project to sew 😀
Great Idea!!! Thanks for the idea/video!!!!
You are so welcome John!😀
That is a wonderful quick sew! Thank you for sharing. A lot of craft fairs require an item to be donated for a raffle basket. This would be perfect, as it just uses scraps.
That's a fabulous idea JP 😃
Thank you. I am making zipper pouches, gift voucher holders to sell for charity. Think these will be a great addition.
They'll make a great addition Vicki 😃

They would be fantastic to use when giving a gift card too. Coffee fabric for a Starbucks card. Train fabric when giving a gift pass to the Forest Museum, the steam train is a family favourite. The possibilities are endless.

You are so welcome PT. Thank you😀
that is exactly the reason why I came here... looking for something I could just carry a few cards in while using a small summer handbag. :)
Super erklärt, super Idee wie immer ein tolles Video, thank you very much for this Video 👍
Viele danke Manuela. Aber mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut 🤪

Thank you! I just got done making one and it is so cute and easy. As I type my husband is cutting more material to make another one for him.
That's so cool. I hope he's cutting straight 🤣

😍Love it🤩
Thanks Melissa ☺️
Great idea! I can make these and put gift cards in at Christmas and then they get 2 gifts in one!
That's a great idea Lyn 🙂
great idea. thanks.
Thanks Sandy ☺️
I was looking for something quick and simple that I could make several of to get inventory started so I can get an etsy shop opened up and start making money following my passion instead of working 2 full time jobs to keep the wolf from the door, or me off the streets and you inspire me so much! Thank you Christine, thank you so very much. God bless you as you are surely blessing us
That's wonderful Deborah. I hope they do well for you🙂
How wonderful Deborah for your enthusiasm and opening a shop; and Christine, thank you for sharing. May I ask a recommended price (USD) for these? I promised my sweet daughter-in-love (law) that I'd make some "stocking stuffers" for her to sell and hopefully offset the outrageous vet bill for their little family member (dog - benign tumor removal from leg and severely absessed tooth- never knew pet dental work was > than humans). @@ChristinesHomeAffairs
Very cool project 😊❤️
Thanks Sophia ☺️
What a cute little project! I've been looking for something easy and small like this to use up my scraps and also to sell at craft fairs, so I'm so glad to have found this - and your channel! Just subscribed and can't wait to watch more of your videos! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you Beth, and welcome! 😀
i might even throw a zipper in one to see how that would work just for loose change etc. these are nifty! thank you!!!
That's a great idea 😀
Could use snaps as well - love it!
Great idea Sarah😀
Appreciate this video❤️🧵🙏🏽
Thanks Arlene😁
Good idea, I can see using colored elastic in these. Or those flat elastic hair bands from the dollar store
Great idea Melanie 😄
I’ve used sharpies & fabric markers to color small bits of elastic too
You explain the projects so well. I just got five large totes of home dec fabric FREE. one tote is all minky fabric, I’ll have to learn to use that. One tote is all 9 inch squares. All other scraps are larger than these squares. And three totes of decent sized pieces. All designer fabric that was discontinued. So very pretty. All that to say, your projects are just what I need. Thank you.
That's a great haul Debbie. I have another video coming out in the next week that will utilise different sized swatches in the one bag that you might like. As for the minky, I've only sewn it once. That was enough for me! 😅
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs i look forward to that video.
I love it, and I think I will make a couple with a fabric loop so I can add a key ring or clip to add a coil bracelet if I wish. I really crave something like this when I go farmers market shopping, but my dress or bike shorts don't have pockets. (grr)
Thanks kristine. Adding the loop is a great idea🙂
Love all your videos. I would like to put a request an eye glasses pouch maybe a few different ways such as a fold over closure, zipper closure. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Ann. I've added it to my list 😄
So I made this today. Sitting outside by my camper. I added a couple things but not sure if I like. It is not perfect as I did not have service till now. I really love you ideas and thank you for sharing I added covers to the slots so in case you want to add money it will stay in place. I also covered the elastic. Trying to figure out how to add a picture
That's great Pat. You can email me Stitchthisnagambie@gmail.com 😃
Thank you for sharing. I just whipped one up to take to the hospital tomorrow for my complete hip surgery. I didn't want to take my purse or wallet, just the necessary medical cards and license. It was as quick and easy as shown. I really appreciate it.
That's awesome cheryll. Good luck with surgery ☺️
What kind of interfacing did you use?
I made this immediately. Red and white polka dot main fabric with solid red card slots. I modified it a bit; took off the elastic and added a plastic snap. If you place it strategically you can still fit a card in there.
Haha, that's awesome Ann. Just had a call from mum, and she's made it straight away too😄
Hi Ann - I wanted to do a snap fastening but couldn’t work out where to place it and at what stage of the making - would you mind please sharing how you did it? Thank you
I like them. I might use Velcro instead of elastic. But otherwise, really nice!
That's a great idea Jean 🙂
Love it! My wallet is so bulky.
Mine too Sally 🤪
Hi = great video! What size iPad is this for please?
Thank you Christine- I absolutely love your videos and you are a superb teacher. I made one of these today and added a tab and lobster clasp but decided to add a snap fastener and so I omitted the elastic. It was a big mistake because in the end I couldn’t work out where to place the snap so as not to interfere with the cards inside. I also didn’t know at which stage to add it/them. I’d appreciate your expertise if you could advise on this. Thank you again from Somerset in the UK xx
Sylvia, to put snaps on, I'd do that on the two bottom card sections before layering the pieces, so you'd need to know where you were going to line them up 😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs Thank you so much for taking the time to reply Christine - that’s most helpful x
Thank you for the tutorial. A great idea. Did you make a video for these credit card holders, but using the vinyl sample strips? I’d like to see that
Yes SB, I did a slightly different version using the vinyl strips. Here's the video link 😀
ua-cam.com/video/C97Lsg5FVAU/v-deo.html
I like your taturial i wanted to make something fast great idea i was wondering instead of elastic could u do a snap ?
Yes, a snap would work well for this Mark😀
Please can. you advise if the pockets are placed interfaced side down or on top? Just love you projects.
Thank you. The interfaced sides are faced up 😃
I can't really follow your explanations. Can't take my eyes off your beautiful dress. I'm sure you sewed it yourself.🤩
Haha, thanks Sybille. Yes, I did make it myself 😀
I love this. Can you help me figure out how to add 1 more slot on each side. Thank you!!
Sandi, if you take one of the slots and place it on the other side to make three, you can then measure the length and double it. Don't forget to add the seam allowance 😁
Thank you so much. I am proud of myself. I understood what you said. I do better with visuals. That's why I love utube.
Love your videos! Curious, how much will you be selling them for?
Michela, I was initially going to price them at $10 each, but decided to try them at $15 au instead. The folding and ironing was quite time consuming, and I figure I can always go down in price, but never up 😃
Love it! How much would you sell them for?
I'm going to do a batch sew and time it today, but expect to sell them for $10 au each
Just made this and as I suspected the seams were too bulky. The interfacing should be cut a half inch smaller to keep it out of the seam allowances. I think I like the Lewis wallet better tho.
Thanks for sharing Heather 😀
I'm going to make one for my insurance cards so I can find them fast.
That's a great idea Beverly😁
If I wanted to make this using cork, what would you suggest I use other than elastic for a closure?
What about two nice thin straps with a press stud that overlaps?😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs Not quite sure I am "seeing" what you are saying. I think I'll make one and play with how to close it. Thanks.
Great little project. What price will you be putting on them?
Thanks Colleen. I'm going to time myself today, but I expect I'll sell them for $10 au each. I should be able to make at least 5 per hour😃
Thank you for another great project! I am wondering how/when do you place the interfacing? Do you cut the pieces first or have a bigger piece of the main fabric, iron on the interfacing and then cut them into the smaller units?
It depends on whether I'm using scraps, or making batches Janelle. If doing batches, i adhere the stabiliser on in one piece for the whole of main fabric to be used on outside 😀 With the folded ones, I do that in a strip too
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs could you do a quick video on batch interfacing?
@@cathysimpson6126 I don't often interface as I mostly use upholstery fabric, but I'll try to do one with my next cotton project 🙂
Love your channel, how about instead a pouch for credit cards to show us how to make a pouch For paper money think that would be great to thank you so much
Great idea. It's on the list! 😄
