I actually dig the sound. People complaining that it doesn't sound like a V8, well it isn't a V8 lol. There's no getting around it, glad you're loving the truck!
I don't see anything wrong with the current gen, like what you like. I will keep enjoying my previous gen since it's still practically brand new.
I hope better exhausts come out in the future to deepen the growl even more.
Thanks for the tip on lifting the truck by the frame to get the stock tail pipe out. I got frustrated and gave up. I’m going to give it another try on my 2024 tundra. Thanks for the great video.

Still sounds better than a ecoboost. The 3.5 in the F150 sounds like a 1992 chevy blazer after the muffler fell off 🤣 and it's way to raspy. I'm not a fan of them axing the bulletproof 5.7 but the 3.5 in the tundra does have a nice smooth sound compared the 3.5 ecoboost.
Lol that's awesome, I had a 92 S10 and the muffler fell off. I know the sound well!
I have the Carven exhuast on my Magnuson Supercharged 2017 Tacoma and it RIPS!!! I love it probably the best bang for the buck exhuast aside from a MBRP.
I can’t wait until people start making downpipes for these things to really let the turbos sing. If you think this exhaust is loud on the tundra you need to hear it on the Tacoma lol. The whole time I was watching I was thinking wow, that’s really quiet compared to mine. That’s simply because turbos act like a muffler in a way. I truly think for the Tundra and the Tacoma that Carven has done the best job with quality and tone!
I'm waiting for a true dual exhaust with valving similar to the Raptor.
Sounds great and enjoyed the review and you did a great job on it. A local muffler company where I lived recommended Craven to me for my 2024 Camry V6 XSE today. After seeing a few other videos today and seeing yours tells me to do it! 😎 thx

About as good as it gets for a V6! I would not personally ever put a loud exhaust on a V6. I prefer the piped V8 sound on the sound system.
There are plenty of badass v6 engines that deserve to be loud!
I’d personally be disappointed if I spent that kind of money on a catback exhaust only to hear the blat and drone. Luckily you got used to it and can enjoy it !

9:03 Jon. I recently purchased the MagnaFlow Street Series for my 2023 Hybrid and the Drone at 2000 rpm is Horrible. The exhaust note on the outside is very good but putting stock system back on. My wife can even ride in it

Nope…tech support told me I could purchase a resonator and have someone weld it in or just live with it basically. For that kind of money they should have it worked out…I guess being one of the first to market is all they care about. The new Borlas come out state that they are drone free… glad I kept the stock exhaust around. Thanks for the bids and your channel…good stuff
Yeah the towing aspect has me hesitant to put an exhaust on my F-150. I really want to uncork the Coyote noises it has, but dislike the thought of it being too loud when I want it to be the quietest (like a road trip towing).

Sounds decent for a twin turbo v-6. But if the video sounds anything close to what it does in person... I like the sound with just the cats better. And I've NEVER been a fan of that on the v-8s as it's just to loud and Sounds like a really really loud clapping sound. But that v-6 sounds good with just cats

There’s a lot to be said for quiet!
I have a 23 Tundra and it's downright stealthy. Even at WOT, it barely makes a peep. I had a 17 Taco with a TRD exhaust and it's significantly louder than the Tundra. Then, when the motor shuts off and truck uses just the electric motor, well, it's of course silent cruising around - which is totally bizarre for a big ass truck.
Anyway, the new tundr is rad.

Its ok sound for a v6. Hate to say it... imo i wouldnt want to be next to a previous gen v8 with an exhaust. If it were me, i would want it as quiet as possible. But each his own.

Great job Jon. I'm just gonna say it. V6 trucks just don't need exhaust mods. Just sounds terrible to me. Just my opinion of course. The TRD exhaust on my Pro is just enough.

I am a fan. I have always ran Borla Atak on my V8 truck's and even that can get annoying when towing especially in the mountains. But, I do think your truck sounds good and if I owned a new Tundra I would have that on it.

Hey Jon, I’m trying to do the same exact rims on my 2023 trd pro Tundra with 35’s as well but instead I was gonna put nitto tires. Also with the wescott 3/1 collar lift. You think it’ll work?
These are Nitto tires. Should work. Would be the same set up.

I don’t think its the truck, or exhaust company. Its just the nature of a V6TT. They just don’t sound like a V8.
A person will get used to it, and eventually like it I’m sure. Id like to hear one in person before i buy.
That being said. I still have my 2017 V8. Whats considered the nicest sounding exhaust for them? I do tow with the family, so not interested in a noisy drone box..

@@TRDJon I don’t like turbos, bumpers feel super flimsy and cheap compared to the gen two, arm rest is cheap, not as easy to work on, smaller interior, ugly as sin front end.

I bought my daughter a 2022 RAV4 XLE Gas AWD (couldn’t find a hybrid anywhere and interest rates were going up).
Also had a 2022 Sienna XLE AWD -FREAKING AMAZING VEHICLE. Sold it bc I decided I wanted to keep my sequoia instead bc it is just better in every way for *my* needs.
I’m very excited for the grand highlander and next Tacoma tho. Even tho they will both be turbos…😕
As far as the new sequoia…it’s 35ish cubic feet SMALLER behind the first row than the gen two. It’s two cubic feet SMALLER behind the first row than the current 4Runner…….so sad. Haha
