At 5:13 you can experience what an Africa Twin is really like at speed. The wind buffeting is so intrusive above 50 mph (80 km/h) and your vision becomes blurred above 60 mph (100 km/h). See how the helmet camera shakes at 5:13 in the video and notice how the rider has to duck into the wind screen to get away from that dreadful wind buffeting.
I’ve got the Adventure Sports version and it’s definitely not made for crossing continents at speed (I’m on my third wind screen and still experimenting with different deflectors and aerofoils and still can’t get rid of the annoying wind buffeting that blurs my vision).
Paul - buy the fork updraft deflector that is attached by 4 simple screws on the plastic on top of the fuel tank. It absolutely cured my violent helmet shakes, especially on my peaked adventure helmet.
Paul Hearn - and here's another tip if you don't want to spend $! Go to the Africa Twin online forums and look for a link that will supply you a template to cut out the shape of the deflector and you can make your own out of plastic or rubber. It would be interesting to see if the new 2020 models suffer from the same updraft issue?

Does anyone know if you can wheelie a ATAS with DCT?
so really, it's a bike that can indicate 200 comfortably on the speedo, probably a genuine 190 (which is fine for a big heavy adventure tourer). I am disappointed at its weight, especially the DCT model with its 250kgs

you can disable abs and traction control
@@lowquality9232 you can disable only on the rear wheel
Doing an endo doesn't involve locking up the front wheel so ABS isn't really involved. Assuming the traction control for the rear wheel is off the computer probably just percieved the endo as the rear wheel as locking up or sliding, something that is perfectly acceptable in that traction control mode.
Probably pulled the ABS fuse.
try it with gps and you will see the 211 klm is 185 real speed

@@yessure5291: unfortunately BMW, KTM, Ducati (the Europeans generally) have got it into many heads that a bike like this needs 150/160 horsepower - and they don't!

La 1200GS y esta moto ni siquieran compiten entre ellas, son motos para cosas diferentes.
la bmw es mas pesada consume mucho mas combustible para andar lo mismo en lo que concierne ala realidad en la carretera, en conclusión resulta mas eficiente la honda

Compañero que esto es una moto trail jajajajaja pa correr comprate un R xD, eso si métete por el campo con una R a ver quien corre mas ;) o vete hacer una ruta de 500 kilometros con una R y luego con esta y después me cuentas que tal la espalda y las rodillas y las muñecas con la R xD

No it's not. I had one beforehand with an arrow exhaust and trust me the AT is faster.
