Someone put eucalyptus essential oil in a cats eye to clear an infection. The cat went blind. And probably worse! Essential oils dissolve mucus membranes. Poor cat 😿
As someone with an astigmatism, I can confidently say no amount of of essential oils and chipper attitude is going to change that my eyeball is a slightly wonky shape.
I once rubbed peppermint oil on my cheekbones because my sinuses were hurting and it was supposed to help relieve pain. My eyes stung SO BADLY and I teared up. I had to go wash my face for several minutes before I could open my eyes again. DON'T 👏PUT 👏 ESSENTIAL 👏OILS 👏 NEAR 👏 YOUR 👏 EYES
This, so much! I once applied a peppermint balm under my nose and it stung my eyes so badly that I had to violently scrub it off. My skin and my eyes both hated me.
I like my glasses in that they allow me to do weird activities such as, see things and drive. I guess I am just not thinking positively enough that I won’t walk into things when I take them off.
@@coocoup I like to say my brain has squished my eyeballs! I also have astigmatism and nearsightedness. I am not sure which is my bigger problem. I thought it was astigmatism but my last eye doctor seemed to think differently. Of course, now I'm hitting the middle aged, I need readers situation.
Lol....I enjoy seeing too. Especially when it comes to spiders. Without my glasses it just looks like a blob. 😊 I actually like my glasses....I need new ones....and I can get away with hardly ever wearing makeup or when I look tired....because of the black frames. Just not sure why anyone would watch these people like that...or follow them....weird. Cheers to all my 4 eyed sisters like me🤓😎
I legit snort giggled at that. I've heard people refer to the "third eye" and it was...a certain part of male anatomy. 😅😂 Thank goodness she only said it once, otherwise I would have wet myself.
They say you're "four eyes" with glasses...third eye opened should add an eye and make it "five eyes" right? No glasses means only "two eyes"...how did she arrive at that math...
Well that’s something sane, unusually. Did they teach you to use oils as anti allergy remedies when the healthiest thing for allergies is clean air meaning absolutely no oil polutants?
@@M_SCthis comment seems to have a bit of snark..I understand why they didn’t answer. But tbh aromatherapy can hold some helpful benefits. But it’s things like certain scents help you relax or feel alert. Please be kind.
As an optometrist, I find this so fascinating. Because if it was this easy, everyone would have figured it out. Seriously, if I had a better option than glasses, contacts or surgery to fix vision, I'd use it.
Ive been seeing something about prism lens to help correct eyes also that one eye is naturally a bit higher than other if any thoughts on this would you please share 🙏
That does make sense. The "you don't need glasses" scam has been around since the inception of the internet. I've always wanted to pay the $15 or so to get the info, but it just felt too scammy.
I would rather pay $11 to hear you try to convince us that the world is made of chocolate and the moon is made of cheese than pay $11 to have someone try to give me dangerous medical advice.
I can’t believe it needs to be said, but you really should trust an optometrist more than some random woman online with zero credentials telling you to put oils in your eyes.
I'm not a skydiving instructor, but I'm pretty sure you can jump without a parachute and be just fine if you have the right mindset. Pay me $11, and I'll tell you all about it. /s
She 100% knows what she's doing. The husband and wife are probably laughing behind people's back when her clients say the dumb chants. They think it's so funny taking advantage of others.
She's dangerous and what she says is STUPID. Putting pure essential oils into your eyes can lead to infections and serious burns that can damage your vision or make you loose your eyes.
I will never forget the moment I woke up and thought, I can see without glasses! I fell asleep with my new contact lenses and completely forgot I wore them, when I woke up😂
As a person who wears glasses: it kind of sucks that I need them, it sucks that I have to pay for them, and I would love to be able to wake up and just *see*, but frankly I would prefer to need glasses over whatever the hell Samantha thinks she's doing.
I complained about my bad eyesight (- 10.0 ) to an eye doctor once and stopped to scold me very purposefully: “you have totally normal vision, you just need corrective lenses to achieve it”. This angered me, but upon reflection she was right and it made me feel better. Imagine no glasses!!! I’d be legally blind.
I got refractive surgery about 6 months ago and it was honestly the best thing ever to wake up and just... see. No glasses, nothing. I would be kinda pissed to pay what I payed if 11 dollars would have solved this lol
I'm visually impaired and this makes my blood boil. Almost makes me feel assaulted hearing that my poor vision is basically my fault and I could make choises to change that. Im so sad that there are people so poorly educated to have this kind of beliefs
It’s interesting that she’s able to apply value to the time and energy behind making her master class, but not the decades of studying it takes to earn an actual medical degree in Ophthalmology
Not to mention the cost to become a medical professional, you need deep pockets most of the time to study in these fields, or to spend a long time paying off loans. If it were easy, everyone would do it.
Like, I studied engineering for years, have had tons of professional experience, and I don't make $5000 for 2 hours. I don't think any engineer makes that much in 2 hours let alone a day. Love that she thought all her background work makes up for the $5k.
"I'm not telling you to take off your glasses if you have a significant vision issue I'm just telling you we can heal your significant vision issue so you can take off your glasses" girl do you HEAR yourself.
My significant vision issue actually did improve quite a bit through lifestyle change. It tracks with what’s known. I was a very indoor reading/tv person and I became an outdoors person always looking at things not up close. My prescription went from -10 to -8. Not healed by any means but the numbers are the numbers
@@M_SC Okay? One, that has nothing to do with what I said, two, what I'm referring to is that this woman selling this plan is trying to sell you that she can fix your vision through her magical eye drops, spiritual healing, and eye exercises, and three, that's not going to work for everyone. Changing whether I'm inside or outside isn't going to magically fix my astigmatism; that's just not how this works. Changing your diet to see improvements is not the same as curing your vision problems with essential oils and wishful thinking.
@@M_SChypermetropia (farsighted) usually does improve as you age; it's because basically your eyes are "too small", and as you age they get nearer the "correct size" for perfect vision. As for myopia (nearsighted) sometimes there's a perceived improvement because of presbyopia which happens as you age, and causes you to lose sight of nearby objects (the reason why older people usually put things far from their face to see/read it properly). In any case, it *is* recommended that if you work with screens for example to take your eyes off of it and look at something further away every quarter of an hour or so. So while your lifestyle change isn't likely the reason for your improved eyesight, it's still a good thing that might help your vision in the long run.
I love how she lists all these conditions as “not root causes, just diagnoses”like all vision problems are illnesses that you can take medicine for. Majority of the time, vision impairment is caused by something anatomical. Near- and farsightedness are caused by the physical shape of your eye distorting where light is focused on your retina. It’s like telling an amputee that if they take a medication (or rub doterra oils on their stump), their leg will start to grow back. That’s not how any of this works.
I sent the first video to my dad who is very, very legally blind and he said: "I took off my glasses, ran from joy, and crashed into the door frame. Spiritually, I am fine, though." 😂😂😂😂
It’s the part about using it on children that irritates me the most. What if it permanently causes damage that they have to deal with the rest of their lives because they’re parents were fooled by an MLM rep…
Omggggggg. I work in the opthalmology field and this enrages me. As someone who is a -10 diopter myope it is absolutely absurd that some oils can cure my eye so that light can focus on my retina instead of in front of it. I do see parents every week that are so eager to get their kid out of glasses and I just don't understand why. Some people need glasses and there are so many cool frames out there that people are even buying Plano ones for fashion. I just hope this doesn't lead to some eye infections or chemical burns from the oils.
I'm around -8 and yeah, ditching glasses would be nice if it was easy, but I prefer that than some dangerous nonsense. Heck, I'm too scared to get laser surgery! Glasses can be cute and fun.
My daughter has astigmatism and as she grew as a toddler she started banging into the wall when walking. Her peripheral and distance vision was becoming really bad. I remember the wonder on her face when she put on her first pair of glasses. She started jumping excitedly and said she could see all the way over there. She'd fall asleep with her glasses on as she never wanted to remove them. The fact that people like this could potentially deceive parents and stop them from helping their kids is scary indeed.
The way you phrased that is now making me wonder if it's possible to design a liquid that refracts light in exactly the right way to basically do what glasses do when used as eye drops.
Another reason this can be seen as praying on desperate people: glasses are EXPENSIVE and basically a monopoly with something like 80% of eyewear being sold by Luxxotica brands. Especially in the US with our insurance and healthcare system... glasses cost a fortune and it's no wonder people would be desperate for a solution that would "heal" their eyes without knowing it's a total scam and potentially dangerous. It makes me so sad and this bogus essential oil person should be ashamed.
This was my thought. Not our fault for being born blind and it’s a shame how expensive glasses / eye health is in various countries given we need our sight to do so much in life.
Hey, you know that part in Robin Hood Men in Tights where Blinkin falls off the lookout tower, then exclaims, "I can see!"... and then walks into a tree and says, "Nope. I was wrong." ....? Yeah, that's what came to mind while watching this.
As a visually impaired person with a degenerative eye disease, I am appalled and so saddened by this. Love your content Hannah, keep up the good fight! 💜
@@burnttoastspacegirlfriend8769 right?! Like I didn't know my Retinopathy of Prematurity was caused by mental emotional and spiritual blockages that are all my fault!! 🤣😭
Funny enough, as an optometry student, one of the BIGGEST things stressed to us when learning refraction (finding an rx) is DO NOT PRESCRIBE GLASSES TO PTS WITH NO SYMPTOMS and also be very careful to prescribe the lowest rx possible.
Right. If your eyes are too long or short, then you lens doesn't focus light on the cells that recognize it. The cells themselves aren't bad at picking up light
@@Spencer-wc6ewexactly, this right there is the 99% issue with all actual eye issues. Either the eyeball is too long/short or the iris skin is too thick or thin and creates light breaking issues behind your eye that your brain is simply incapacitated of correcting. Nothing short of surgery can correct this, and not even that might do it
A part of this masterclass was also telling people to stare into the sun to "heal their eyes" so... yeah. We didn't even cover the eugenics implications of saying turning your eyes more blue is "healing" them. Not to mention that these sweet baby blues are more light sensitive and prone to damage than brown eyes 😬
Exactly! I have very blue eyes and on the rare occasion someone compliments them I want to say, “thanks! They don’t work!” I have to wear sunglasses on cloudy days sometimes 😂
Oh my goodness! Staring into the sun is going to make your eyes even worse or possibly blind you…. I mean, I guess you don’t need glasses if you’re legally blind and can’t see anything but I would hope that’s not what her point is . What a weird and dangerous suggestion
@@susannacafarelli8336 Genuinely it amazes me the amount of people who only wear sunglasses in the summer, like that is the only time the sun comes out! My daughter, partner and myself will always have our sunnies out with us, especially in the winter when the sun is low and people make comments and don't get why. It's still sunny and I want to protect my eyes, even though as a glasses wearer, switching between normal glasses and sunglasses often (hello UK weather!) does get annoying 😂
Ooh I was hoping you would cover this - I’ve seen so many commentary UA-camrs talk about it but none of them have the MLM expertise that you do. Also, someone tried to pitch an MLM to me yesterday when I was in target. I’m super pregnant (due Friday) and was getting my baby a coming home outfit - the hun approached me and started asking questions about my job and maternity leave, etc. SO predatory - she was definitely in the baby section to find moms struggling with the work/mom balance. I’m lucky enough to have a job I love and they’ve been wonderful at working with me to build a balance that is healthy for me and my family, but if I wasn’t able to stay home with baby and was stressing about it this would’ve been a really upsetting interaction.
I have had 2 retinal detachments, 2 cataracts, 3 secondary cataracts. I’m very near sighted, have several units of astigmatism, and a puckered macula. So I didn’t need 5 eye surgeries nor regular visits to vision care specialists. I can toss my corrective lenses and cancel all of my vision care appointments. All I need is a positive attitude and some Doterra oils 🤦♀️ Sarcasm aside, as someone who ran the real risk of losing my vision twice, I have nothing but the greatest contempt for scammers like Samantha. She isn’t just scamming them of money, she is putting people at risk of physical harm. Despicable.
I read one of the books that started the “ophthalmology is fake” conspiracy, it’s the Bates method. I was a pretty young teenager and was worried because my eyes had been getting worse (fyi, this is normal when you’re still growing). I was pretty diligent about it, but it only led to me being disoriented in public for a few months because I wasn’t wearing my glasses and couldn’t see anything lol.
I read a fiction book where this guy was forced to go without his glasses to improve his eyesight, and it worked-went from glasses to sharp 20/20 vision. I was so mad: that is not remotely realistic. If I go without glasses, my eyes get worse, not better. And I’d probably die from walking into a car by accident because I can’t see them.
The lengths these MLM reps will go to to make a quick buck is sickening. Btw, I healed my eyes. I went to a LASIK Dr and he did surgery on my eyes. Wow imagine that!
Starts degenerating around the 10 year point though, and night vision is awful - lights seem much brighter. I think it was worth it when I got it done. But 10 years later I became a spectacle wearer again. I've just embraced it now.
@@sinkintostillnessit depends on what is wrong with your eyes whether LASIK is a permanent solution. I had mine examined with the people who did it for my mom but they said the surgery would be possible but wouldn’t improve my eyesight to the point of not needing glasses ..
I've had glasses since I was 4. If oils and positive thinking could cure my macular degeneration and astigmatism, I'm fairly certain my optometrists would've tried that already
Thank you for covering this. I have 2 friends from college who read Louise Hay’s ridiculous book that has many claims that are so similar; things like- “you can’t see because you’re afraid of seeing truth” …or whatever silly reasons. We’re all 55 years old now and they STILL believe this kind of thing. It makes me crazy. 🙄
My husband came up with a slogan that Doterra should have: "Doterra: We have an oil for that!" 😂 Great video! Keep on spreading the truth against the MLM hunbots!
something i'm surprised i've only seen myself remark on about this situation is the subtle racism of "cleansing" your eyes making them change color- ie, turn lighter- from brown. this very much stood out to me, especially because experiments to change eye color from brown to blue were part of eugenics. a lot of essential oils and wellness types tend to tiptoe around using dogwhistles, but this was just on the nose (or the eye?) to me. i'm not white, and i quite like my brown eyes...can you tell me what's "dirty" about them, samantha? why them getting lighter would be a sign of health? should i care about bleaching my skin, too? go ahead. i'm waiting.
Wait, just lighter? [sarc] And here I was hoping she had a way to make them nice and dark so the iris blocks light like it's supposed to. [/sarc] I have blue eyes, and clear skies give me headaches. 'Superior race material' they ain't.
I just got new glasses for the first time in five years. I almost cried because I could finally see clearly again. I didn't even know it was as bad as it was because my eyes were trying so hard to see clearly but just couldn't. If someone recommended OILS to me to fix my subpar vision, I'd be so upset and angry. What do oils have to do with your actual damaged eyeballs?!
The ableist garbage that these “wellness” influencers spew is so infuriating. You don’t think if people could just “heal themselves” that they wouldn’t just DO that?
She managed to get people to PAY for her pitch. That's disguting, but you have to admit that's a new one. A new low, perhaps, but we don't see that everyday.
As someone who had to get glasses in middle school, I just had to laugh at this. Do you know how hard it is to wear glasses in MIDDLE SCHOOL!?! believe me, if I could've willed my eyesight better it would've been then! 😅😅 Thank you for calling her out and putting her on blast for her misinformation. Smh
Samantha’s speech pattern and tone is SO similar to the videos of Ruby Franke explaining why she “parents” (abuses) her children the way she did. It’s creeping me out.
i will always comment on any video talking about this lady cause as someone who is legally blind and has trauma from people “praying the disability away” and that if i just “have enough faith” ill be magically healed, im here to stand up for myself and others like me, thanks for covering this hannah! ❤ also i dont understand how the oils advise against applying around the eyes but shes just like “hey, apply this around your eyes!” HUH????
I will say that the cost of lenses are pretty much a scam (very cheap to make and yet they're what shoot up the cost of glasses), so I'd love to see a revolution happen regarding those. But needing glasses in and of themselves is most certainly not a scam and no amount of "eat, pray, love" is going to change my vision enough to no longer need them (I have one eye that is nearly blind, I don't think even Lasik could fix it).
I get my prescription from the optometrist then buy my glasses online from an overseas company (clearly contacts but there are heaps) they offer free returns and free 30 day trials and cost a third of optometrist prices, even with my ultra thick lenses
@@YellowFreesias I use Zenni Optical since they're also cheaper than getting them at the optometrist, but I still see a jump of anywhere between $50-$100 to my cost during checkout when I input my prescription. It's a huge, unnecessary markup once you know that lenses are very cheap to manufacture. Online glasses are still way over-priced from what it truly costs to make and ship them, leading to massive profit margins.
Lasik most definitely can’t, it is not an option for people with actually bad vision. It’s only applicable to people with mild to moderate impaired vision
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley I do mine on LenSmart, and it comes out to 39.95, BUT my pair frames came from the 9.99 collection, so I wouldn't be surprised if the 12.99 ones w/ prescription came around to 50 dollars. Again, a scam but better than $100 for sure.
This reminds me of the person who asked my cousin on a bus if she had tried not having cerebral palsy. Was she SURE she couldn't walk? Had she tried thinking positively about it? Had she tried changing her mindset to NOT having CP?
This is so sad I work with seniors a lot of them desperate because of retina issues going almost blind and desperate for a solution and I could see them falling for this I hope no one does this
The problem is there are a lot of desperate and let’s be honest naive people out there. You could do a video saying damn near anything and someone will believe you. It’s a damn shame that there are people out there who knowingly take advantage of those I’ve mentioned before. Keep it up Hannah. You’re doing the world a great service.
Absolutely. I'm a nurse, and these people are dangerous. My cousin's wife has gone through cancer treatment and one of those huns tried to talk her into using oils instead of treatment. She's a very intelligent woman, but when people get desperate, they'll do anything. Then, other fools tried to get her to consume baking soda because it "kills cancer cells." Yeah, technically true, because if you go into severe ketosis and mess up your potassium levels, you'll be dead. Thankfully she came to me and I told her do not, under any circumstances, PLEASE don't do it.
It never ceases to amaze me what they think up. There is a reason doctors have to go to years of school outside of high school. Are they perfect? NOPE! BUT they, as a whole, know way more than any of us who hasn't been to medical school. Awesome video!
I'm seeing my eye surgeon tomorrow for a follow up and I'm definitely bringing this up with her. She'll get a kick out of it. I thought audio was fine, love to hear Zeke in the background (we're a crazy cat family too!). Love you and your videos and love to the baby girl and cats.
Hannah, PLEASE OH PLEASE make a Masterclass about a chocolate earth and cheese moon 😂. We all would pay to chat with you on zoom about that. We could just sit there and eat cheese and chocolate and roll our eyes at the so called anti-glasses movement 🙄🙄🫤🙄
Yeeeessss omg Kurtis Conner just did a video on this woman and I was literally about to ask you to cover her but as always you’re one step ahead of us! Thanks Hannah! ❤
"We are made to see therefore our body can heal our vision" is such an absurd piece of logic. Humans were made to be alive, too, and yet we die all the time.
just yesterday i watched curtis connor's video on this gal and was honestly relieved he took a hard stance against mlms and now i'm getting another of my favourite youtubers covering her! yaaay! Edit, as i'm having some thoughts: where she failed the most is her decision to make a course promisong something as tangible as vision improvement. it's not kind of detox/gut health noncence you can placebo yourself into believing.
The webinar reminds me of those timeshare presentations where they lure you in with dinner then spend three hours trying to pressure you into buying a timeshare
What a milestone for your daughter to move to the nursery ❤❤❤ If I only knew I could cure my astigmatism, and see more than the top letter on the chart, just with positive thinking and lavender oil. I'd have saved a fortune in glasses and contacts 😂😂😂
I know, right!? If only I could cure my myopia and poor depth perception by just grabbing my eyesockets and eyeballs and fixing the position a little bit. Then both of my myopic parents, and four of my myopic grandparents would see what they were doing wrong. 😂
Same here. No need for any help with vision with just mind power and some essential oils. And here I took 2 years of school to give costumers information about WHY they should buy the glasses the optometrist/optician tells them to
Wait, you guys can see the top letter? I actually CAN’T wear glasses anymore - my prescription is so much higher in my bad eye than my good one the size difference between the lens (things looked way smaller through the thicker lens) was giving me migraines. Thank god for contacts.
Only $11 to heal my vision? Dang!! I've been paying HUNDREDS on glasses and contacts since I was 6! Should've healed my deep seeded trauma and spiritual issues by the time I hit 1st grade, how dumb of me!
Actually, Samantha did help my "vision"... I now understand Young Living must superior to doTerra because the YL huns told me years ago that their oils could help my vision, no master class spiritual hocus pocus required 🤣
As someone who has terrible eyes, I can see how someone could fall for the scam. Personally, I have to purchase new glasses every year and at $300 a pair with insurance… it just sucks.
Going to co-sign on Zenni. I just bought two pairs for $250, and that was with a -8.50 in one eye, a -6 with an astigmatism in the other, and Progressives because I now need up close vision assistance as well. My old single vision glasses were around $600/pair with 50% insurance, so I feel your pain.
The funny thing is that if she gets into legal trouble for this claims, Doterra is not going to have her back 😅! Because they never advertise their oils to be able to “cure” your vision issues 😂
I am so glad you're talking about this! I've seen a few people make videos about this scam but I didn't realize it was related to MLM's until Kurtis Conner's video. Was hoping some anti-MLM creators would discuss it as well.
24:00 Slight quibble. I'm not an attorney either but I'm the son of an attorney (a litigator, even!). My father taught me that you can sue anybody for any reason. The suit can have no merit and can be summarily dismissed but that doesn't stop folks from wasting time and money filing these suits.
I’ve worked the corporate (in-house company) side of two different MLMs. I will be writing in about my experiences with those companies soon. From the corporate side of this, shooting down the claims of independent distributors/reps (Huns) was like wack-a-mole. The minute we shut down a person for their wild claims, we found another. It was insane how many people would come up with the most asinine claims about the products. I will start working on my personal horror stories soon. Not only do I have the two that I worked on the corporate side for, I also tried my hand at selling. It will be a doozy of an email, and will probably end up an entire episode in and of itself.
I would be curious if your experiences have made it into a video yet. It is good to hear there was an attempt to stop the wild claims, but clearly companies need a better strategy - if they actually want to shut down the false claims.
I was diagnosed with posterior vitreous detachment earlier this year and now have to use eyedrops three times a day. At least I don't need glasses yet but it'll probably come in a few years. There is no way I will put their snake oil or any other weird stuff around my eyes. This is freaking dangerous. She's going to ruin people's eye sight even more.
Wow this is amazing seeing this video! Kurtis Conner just did a video on this topic but didn't touch on the MLM part of it as much. Thank you for your insight!!!
shout out to the other ppl who saw this going down on twitter/tiktok and immediately started screenshoting and saving videos for Hannah 🙌 it was the liver lining after being dumbfounded/upset that this "masterclasses" exists 😣
I’m glad that this happened! Not of her misfortune, but glad she got all of this negative attention, so that it serves as an example and possibly deter others from spreading nonsense.
How did she genuinely think that she would just get away with such crazy and blatantly false claims? Did she not pause for even a second and think "huh. Maybe people are going to have a problem with this"
And I think it is so frustrating because normally to go to an MLM or scam pitch yiu her promised something. A free product, a makeover, a set of golf clubs, whatever....but she managed to get people to pay HER to go to an MLM pitch and that is just so against the natural order.
I have myopia, aka short sighted, but it means my eyes are litterally the wrong shape and are too oval for me to see correctly, no amount of eye drops is going to fix this
The fact that I watched a Kurtis Connor video on this exact topic/person just 3 days ago is so hilarious to me. A crossover in my subscriptions that never saw coming lol. Plus the fact that he had no idea what Doterra was but then quickly called it out once he found out is just a sign that the anti-MLM world is doing it’s job! Keep it up!
Yaaaaas Hannah, I cannot tell you how much I cackled when I first saw this woman. Sure babe, positive thinking and essential oils can fix physical issues like stigmatisms, cataracts, or glaucoma. This absolutely slayed me. 10/10 scamming.
HANNAH, I’ve just had my first MLM encounter recently. I started working at my first job - I work in an antique mall and the moment that you enter, there’s a HUGE Avon stand. I remember looking at my mother & absolutely info dumping about MLMs ( she calls me obsessed ) and then, within the next week, I saw a Doterra building.. interesting to see after to watching your videos, it was almost exciting.
I think this is yet another example of how people in MLM are completely disconnected from reality. Of course, that is the real purpose of encouraging them to "ignore the haters" which sometimes includes family and friends. They are so surrounded by people perpetuating the same nonsense as them that they don't even realize how out of touch they are. So I'm not surprised that she thought this "master-class" was a good idea. In fact, I'm sure even now she's being reaffirmed by those around her. Because just like a cult, or extreme religion, she was taught to completely turn off her critical thinking. I feel sorry for Mallory , she is taking the heat from this group for encouraging people to think critically about this. The work she and Hannah do is not easy. It's a work of deconstruction, but deconstruction requires people to be willing to listen. They need to come to this realization themselves, and I'm sure it can be frustrating, especially when you are being bullied by those who are still completely programmed into the cult that is MLM. Edited to correct grammar :)

I like my glasses in that they allow me to do weird activities such as, see things and drive. I guess I am just not thinking positively enough that I won’t walk into things when I take them off.
Right? Like I think my misshapen eyeballs are bc I wasn’t positive enough during my life (bc I have astigmatism) 😂 Man, this crap makes me mad

Lol....I enjoy seeing too. Especially when it comes to spiders. Without my glasses it just looks like a blob. 😊

@@amethystdream8251omg I really hope you weren't serious about that.. you really don't know what "the third eye" is?? 😅
I studied aromatherapy and the one thing I learned was that you NEVER use essential oils anywhere near the eyes.
Well that’s something sane, unusually.
Did they teach you to use oils as anti allergy remedies when the healthiest thing for allergies is clean air meaning absolutely no oil polutants?
I used the essential oils in a carrier oil in massage. Never use essential oils directly on the skin.@@M_SC

As a person who wears glasses: it kind of sucks that I need them, it sucks that I have to pay for them, and I would love to be able to wake up and just *see*, but frankly I would prefer to need glasses over whatever the hell Samantha thinks she's doing.
Glasses are a better look than MLM Hun
I complained about my bad eyesight (- 10.0 ) to an eye doctor once and stopped to scold me very purposefully: “you have totally normal vision, you just need corrective lenses to achieve it”.
This angered me, but upon reflection she was right and it made me feel better. Imagine no glasses!!! I’d be legally blind.
As a visually impaired person YES!!!
OMG yes! I wish I didn't have to wear glasses, but I'd rather see even if I need corrective lenses to help me do that
I got refractive surgery about 6 months ago and it was honestly the best thing ever to wake up and just...
They’re just in it for the ✨money✨, the education behind Big Optometry™️ has no value, duh.
Samantha is doing it out of the kindness of her heart /s
Not to mention the cost to become a medical professional, you need deep pockets most of the time to study in these fields, or to spend a long time paying off loans. If it were easy, everyone would do it.
Like, I studied engineering for years, have had tons of professional experience, and I don't make $5000 for 2 hours. I don't think any engineer makes that much in 2 hours let alone a day. Love that she thought all her background work makes up for the $5k.
She could damage someone’s eyes and vision. This is not okay.
As you age, your eyes can improve slightly. It's a natural thing that can happen. It has nothing to do with your lifestyle.
@M_SC I know there are studies with children that shows the more time they spend outside the better their eyes are
I love how she lists all these conditions as “not root causes, just diagnoses”like all vision problems are illnesses that you can take medicine for.

God forbid 🥲 I’m so tired of children being targeted!
Ohh not just toxic oils. It’s your mindset. You got bad vision cuz you don’t believe in your healing enough!! 😂🤦🏽♀️
As someone with slightly worse vision (but luckily completely correctable with glasses)
Same.
I work in optics and we absolutely detest Luxottica.
This was my thought. Not our fault for being born blind and it’s a shame how expensive glasses / eye health is in various countries given we need our sight to do so much in life.
If anyone else sees this and is struggling to afford glasses, the website Zenni Optical has $10 prescription glasses that are decent quality.

Funny enough, as an optometry student, one of the BIGGEST things stressed to us when learning refraction (finding an rx) is DO NOT PRESCRIBE GLASSES TO PTS WITH NO SYMPTOMS and also be very careful to prescribe the lowest rx possible.
Vision isn’t always something you even need to “heal.” You can have perfectly healthy eyes and still not see well.

All I need is a positive attitude and some Doterra oils 🤦♀️
Sarcasm aside, as someone who ran the real risk of losing my vision twice, I have nothing but the greatest contempt for scammers like Samantha.
Loves how she calls out people about not knowing how to run a business yet she's giving medical advice without any kind of credentials. No notes.
The lengths these MLM reps will go to to make a quick buck is sickening. Btw, I healed my eyes. I went to a LASIK Dr and he did surgery on my eyes. Wow imagine that!
Technically not healed but damaged. I’m glad it was successful for you

@@sinkintostillnessit depends on what is wrong with your eyes whether LASIK is a permanent solution. I had mine examined with the people who did it for my mom but they said the surgery would be possible but wouldn’t improve my eyesight to the point of not needing glasses ..

something i'm surprised i've only seen myself remark on about this situation is the subtle racism of "cleansing" your eyes making them change color- ie, turn lighter- from brown. this very much stood out to me, especially because experiments to change eye color from brown to blue were part of eugenics. a lot of essential oils and wellness types tend to tiptoe around using dogwhistles, but this was just on the nose (or the eye?) to me. i'm not white, and i quite like my brown eyes...can you tell me what's "dirty" about them, samantha? why them getting lighter would be a sign of health? should i care about bleaching my skin, too? go ahead. i'm waiting.
There's nothing subtle about it! So racist 😢

Thank you for calling her out and putting her on blast for her misinformation. Smh
Samantha’s speech pattern and tone is SO similar to the videos of Ruby Franke explaining why she “parents” (abuses) her children the way she did. It’s creeping me out.

also i dont understand how the oils advise against applying around the eyes but shes just like “hey, apply this around your eyes!” HUH????
I do agree they are overpriced but I have 3 separate vision problems that I have to combine in one pair so mine are always a little more than average.

I’ve worn glasses since I was 10 and I’d rather wear glasses than need eye drops
I'd love to hear that woman's take on cataract surgery 🤣
Wow this is amazing seeing this video! Kurtis Conner just did a video on this topic but didn't touch on the MLM part of it as much. Thank you for your insight!!!
I’m watching his video right now! I love that we each cover different aspects of it. So cool!
Omg a Hannah-Kurtis crossover I’m living
shout out to the other ppl who saw this going down on twitter/tiktok and immediately started screenshoting and saving videos for Hannah 🙌
it was the liver lining after being dumbfounded/upset that this "masterclasses" exists 😣
I’m glad that this happened! Not of her misfortune, but glad she got all of this negative attention, so that it serves as an example and possibly deter others from spreading nonsense.
I get eczema around my eyes, when I don't moisturise. There is no way in hell I'm putting essential oils there.😂
If she's charging me for a class and making all these claims, I'd expect her to have a naturopath degree at least
😂😂😂
Zeke is just agreeing with you and warning us to avoid these scams. Thanks, Zeke.
I have myopia, aka short sighted, but it means my eyes are litterally the wrong shape and are too oval for me to see correctly, no amount of eye drops is going to fix this
I waiting to see if anyone was going to post that most eye problems are from the eye being the wrong shape...
She wants me to put WHAT in my EYES???
Yea no. Ill stick with my glasses. That sounds like a painful and expensive way to go blind
Imagine a world where i just need an overpriced masterclass to fix my eyes 😂
What a scary world lol
I like my glasses, I don't feel scammed or "broken" for my poor eyesight
She should get a restraining order for harassment. That lady is pshyco!
"It's easy to judge, criticize, and lie about something you know nothing about".... like her... about eyes.
Sis told on herself with that one😂
I wish I had the unwarranted confidence that these MLM ladies have
My third eye is awake and aware too, and it's warning me about this lady's very troubling message.
Keep it up!
I'm constantly surprised how these people don't have any shame
Yaaaaas Hannah, I cannot tell you how much I cackled when I first saw this woman. Sure babe, positive thinking and essential oils can fix physical issues like stigmatisms, cataracts, or glaucoma.
This absolutely slayed me. 10/10 scamming.
... wut. I guess the laws of physics and light refraction were the REAL conspiracy all along!
It was not my optometrist who told me I need glasses, it was my inability to see clearly.
“The years of practice” .. yea mastering lying.
Well said. Deconstructing and deprogramming require a person to be able and willing to listen.
People like Samantha should go to prison. Not only she is lying, but she also sells a dangerous product 🤬
Phew it has 666 likes when I watched, had to click like cause Hannah is doing the Lords work!! :) As someone legally blind I'm here for this nonsense!
What lord? Lord of the rings?
@@nom3nnescio whatever Lord you want to choose my dude.
@@TwoSistersAndSomeYarn so it really doesn't matter, all same 100% nonsense
@@nom3nnescio I mean, I believe in God, but if you don’t, then you believe whatever you want. What is your point? Ok I’ll
Rephrase it. Hannah is doing amazing work to help humans not get stuck in these predatory cults.
Better?
@@TwoSistersAndSomeYarn extremely berrer. No sense to involve/add imaginary creatures in something that is real. Thank the real person, not nonsense fairy god.
As someone with a degenerative eye disease and a strong prescription, sadness is not enough to describe who I feel.
My optometrist is no longer able to bring me to a 20/20 vision even with glasses. I would give a lot to be fixed.
Wood is actually good for acoustics and makes sound warmer. Glass, however... such as glass desks and windows... that´s a different story bc they add a weird annoying tone to voices (their vibration). So don´t worry your sound is great and the rug will only make it better :)
